Scene 66
Scene 66 ------------------------------------------- Three Days Later
* Ryuji comes in from his duties for lunch. He isn't surprised to find Pehjo at his desk reading a book. He's learned a lot about the skink's enjoyments and habits over the past couple days. It had surprised him of how much they actually have in common. Most everything from their naturally high-born status, to their love for reading, to the food they like. Ryuji has felt his affection for the quarky, pesky skink growing. What does surprise him when he goes over closer to Pehjo is the very faint difference in his scent. He watches the demon half glance at him nervously as Ryuji pauses to analyse the scent. Then it dawns on him.
Ryuji- Uhh.. Pehjo,..?
* The skink marks his place in the book and stands to move away nervously.
Pehjo- I-I know.. I'm s-sorry, Ryu.. I noticed it when I woke up this m-morning.. I-I don't know what has t-triggered this..
* Ryuji smirks as Pehjo sidles away from him, finding his reaction amusing for some reason.
Pehjo- I can go.. find a cave.. s-somewhere.. Or burrow into a hole..
* Ryuji relaxes and allows his eyes to travel down the skink's body, 'He's not really that bad looking'. Pehjo pauses his escape and timidly looks at Ryuji. The fire demon realizes that Pehjo has 'heard' his thought and lifts his eyes to meet Pehjo's with his normal confidence. Ryuji makes his decision and moves right up in front of him, keeping his pace steady to convey his intentions to the wary skink. Immediately, Pehjo's instincts recognize Ryuji's Alpha aura that he begins to exude. He swallows nervously and lowers his eyes, but stays put. Ryuji, in turn, recognizes Pehjo's submissive manner and relaxes his aura some so Pehjo won't feel threatened or pressured. He lifts Pehjo's face gently to meet his eyes again.
Ryuji- I told you before.. I won't force you..
* Pehjo clears his throat to find his voice.
Pehjo- (Quietly) And I told you.. that you wouldn't.. have to,.. Master.
* This time, the use of the word goes straight to Ryuji's youkai instincts. Calmly, he leans to begin snuffling at Pehjo's neck. He allows the faint scent of the skink's heat to drive away all thoughts of anything else. Soon enough, Ryuji pulls Pehjo closer against him and just embraces the slightly shorter demon.
Ryuji- I.. need this, Peh.. This distraction.. You.. But if you're not interested..
* In a bold reflex, Pehjo reaches up and pulls Ryuji's mouth to his. As their kissing deepens both can feel the bond that begins to form between them. Neither resists it from continuing, but Ryuji forces himself to pull back long enough to ask for confirmation of what he feels.
Ryuji- Do you really want this?
Pehjo- Hai.. I do..
* The fire demon scoops Pehjo up gently and they continue kissing as he carries the skink toward his bedroom.
