Scene 63
Okay, I'm going to change gears here, just for a bit. Don't get nervous, though, because it is necessary. You'll see why in time. ;o)
Thoth, you got it half right. It does concern Hiei and someone, but not Imiko. But it's not something that will endanger what I'm building with our favorite triangle. ;o)

Scene 63 ------------------------------------------- Alaric
* Mukuro enters the fortress' command center. She moves around checking on the different stations. Ryuji knows that she has entered, but continues his quiet discussion concerning some of the more menial tasks of his duties with the top general Kirin. Mukuro glances toward them a couple times. Kirin senses the tension as he glances between the two.
Ryuji- ..So then, we need material from the tailor..?
Kirin- Yes. A hundred and ten yards of leather should cover the repairs.
Ryuji- Okay.. Now for the weapons.. It says here that we need two axes, a dozen spears, and twelve shields are needed from the armory. Right?
* Kirin checks his list then nods.
Kirin- Hai.
Ryuji- Anything else?
Kirin- Lord Mukuro lost her temper on three servants yesterday.
Mukuro- (Mumbled) Insubordinate grunts.
* Kirin glances toward her. Ryuji just rolls his eyes as he writes the order for three new servants down on his list.
Ryuji- That makes twelve I've had to replace in the past two weeks.
* Mukuro ignores Ryuji's comment. Now it is Kirin who rolls his eyes. He then leans on the table in the center of the room to meet Ryuji's eyes.
Kirin- Whatever it is you two are arguing about, you need to settle it because we can't afford to be buying new servants every two weeks.
* Mukuro and Ryuji both glare at the general.
Both- we're not arguing!
* Ryuji glances his glare toward Mukuro then turns to leave.
Kirin- Right.. I stand corrected.
Ryuji- You stand in charge of this dump until I return.
* Before either Mukuro or Kirin can comment Ryuji blinks away. Kirin shakes his head and looks toward Mukuro. When her gaze falls back on him the general wisely turns and moves to look out one of the large windows. He scans the area for threats as Mukuro glares at him a few more moments, then leaves. Kirin sighs and relaxes, thanking whatever god he prays to that he's still standing.
