Scene 6
Scene 6 ---------- That Evening
* Kuwabara enters the common room to find Yukina curled up and crying on the couch. He goes over and brushes the tear gems aside, then sits beside her. He pulls her up into his firm embrace.
Kuwabara- Aww, Yukie..
Yukina- I failed him.. It was my chance to hopefully.. redeem myself with my only brother.
Kuwabara- Don’t do this, Sweetie.. I’ll tell him that it was all my fault.. Then pray that he takes me out quickly.
* Yukina raises fearful, wet eyes up to look at him
Yukina- Oh no, Kazuma!
* Before he can reply they both look toward the portal that opens suddenly. Kuwabara realizes the origin is from Demon World as soon as he gets a whiff of the smell wafting from the rift. But he doesn’t recognize the hooded figure that steps through. He is on his feet with his Spirit Sword drawn immediately. The hooded figure remains calm.
Hooded Demon- Relax, Human.. I bring you a message concerning Lady Staci Jaganshi.
* He raises his human-like hand to reveal a small glowing orb. It floats over to Kuwabara and he gathers it up quickly, familiar with these since Yusuke has sent him a few. The redhead never takes his eyes off the stranger until Yukina gasps and stands.
Yukina- Wait! You’re a Toushin..!
* The hooded figure leaps back into the portal that closes behind him before she can reach it. Yukina then turns to look up at Kuwabara.
Yukina- Hurry! Toss it onto the floor, Kazuma. Maybe he found her!
* Kuwabara hesitates thoughtfully a moment, then obeys. Instantly they hear a nondescript voice speak calmly to them.
Voice- Lord Hiei’s mate is well and unharmed.. She’ll be returned to her rightful place soon.. She doesn’t want you to worry, Miss Yukina.
* Then the split orb dissolves with a puff of smoke. As Yukina moves back into Kuwabara’s arms, the redhead releases his Spirit Sword to embrace her. Neither of them notice the tiny Ninjini disappear in the same manner from where he was positioned on the mantle.
