Hiei's Harem - Pt. 2 - Maintaining

Scene 6 -------------- The Ravine


* Hiei is relaxing under a tree watching Troiyoku and Gamaru spar. He glances aside at Silis who is seated beside him. The apparition notices that the boy is lost in his thoughts as one of his hands rubs his belly. Hiei gets Silis' attention when he reaches over to lay his own hand on his middle. He begins to feed some of his energy into the younger male's body before really grasping what he's doing. Silis looks at his Alpha curiously. Gamock had never done such a thing with him.


Hiei- What?

Silis- Huh?

Hiei- You're running your brain to death over something.


* Silis blushes a bit as he lowers his eyes, then he shrugs.


Silis- I.. I'm only feeling.. one very small signal..

Hiei- So you're only carrying one this time.

Silis- But I always..

Hiei- I'm the sire this time.. As far as I know neither Fire nor Ice ever carry more than one or two.


* Silis looks back up at Hiei.


Silis- I thought you didn't know that much about your heritage.


* For a moment Hiei considers the boy's words. He's not really sure himself how he knows this. Finally he hmphs grumpily.


Hiei- Sarista and I have been sharing more than just sex when we're together.. Maybe she mentioned it or something.


* Silis grins a moment, but it fades when Hiei looks back toward the sparring brothers. In a few moments he gets lost once again in the other concern that has been multiplying his concern over the first discovery. Hiei's senses tingle again and it irritates him. He looks back at Silis again.


Hiei- Now what?!


* Silis shies away from him some and shakes his head. Hiei flares out his dominant aura as he raises onto one knee facing Silis. Troiyoku and Gamaru feel the aura as well and stop sparring to look toward them.


Hiei- You will tell me! Don't make me remove my bandana, boy!


* Silis swallows and looks up to meet Hiei's crimson eyes. The Koorime feels Silis' fear growing and it aggitates him even more. The apparition stands and forces himself to back away a couple feet.


Hiei- Will you just.. answer me.. I can feel your worry and it.. sickens me.


* Silis lowers his eyes to keep Hiei from thinking that he's challenging or defying him.


Silis- W-with only.. one.. Th-the chances of it b-being a.. bearer..

Hiei- What difference should that..?


* When Hiei's instincts surge up to whisper the reason to him he growls.


Hiei- No! I said I will never sell them away!


* Troiyoku and Gamaru start over until Hiei spins to glare up at them.


Hiei- Enough sparring for today! I tire of your presence..!

Troiyoku- Master?

Hiei- Leave me! Now! All of you!


* Again Hiei flares out his dominant aura at nearly full strength, barely able to keep it at that level. He watches the three boys nearly trample each other to get away from him. When they are gone Hiei raises his face to the sky. The battle that's suddenly raging in his mind makes him want to just roar out his anger. He barely manages to keep himself from doing so and staggers over to lean against the wide tree heaving with the effort.


Hiei- I.. can't! - I'm not s-some.. animal!!


* The Koorime is so embroiled in his inner turmoil that he doesn't even sense Sarista approaching him. When he does finally feel her he looks toward her with a deep growl. Sarista immediately drops to her knees and lowers her eyes. Hiei feels her desire to help him as he concentrates his attention on her. Her presence actually begins to calm the conflict inside him, his instincts appreciating the stance she has taken before him. The next thing Hiei knows he has blurred over closer to her. His nostrils flare as he takes in her scent. The scent of her pregnancy helps him to regain his control. Sarista chances a look up at him again as his eyes return to normal. She reaches out and steadies him when he swoons.


Hiei- You.. tell me.. What's happening..

Sarista- M'Lord,..

Hiei- What the.. h---'s.. going on?!


* Sarista sighs when Hiei sinks to his knees in front of her, rubbing his temples.


Sarista- Your psyche is beginning to adjust..

Hiei- What.. what does.. that mean?

Sarista- It means that you are becoming an Alpha.


* Hiei raises his narrowed eyes to stare at her.


Sarista- I figured it would be starting soon.

Hiei- B-but I.. I'm al-ready the..

Sarista- Your instincts are becoming stronger.

Hiei- (Growls) It feels like.. my head is being.. ripped apart!

Sarista- Because you're trying to fight them.


* Hiei nods.


Hiei- I.. I don't want.. to become like..


* Sarista swallows thickly and lowers her eyes again.


Sarista- You have to stop fighting them, Master.. Your instincts will help you to be..

Hiei- To be what?! Abusive, uncaring.. cruel?! I don't.. w-want to be like that.. Not again!


* Hiei staggers to his feet shaking his head.


Sarista- This is all part of maturing into your role..

Hiei- No! Not if it m-means.. being like..

Sarista- It comes with the position.


* Hiei focuses his eyes back on her, his senses studying what he feels radiating from her through the bond.


Hiei- You.. don't want me.. to be like that..

Sarista- No.. But I can't do anything but.. accept it..

Hiei- I can feel your fear, b----! I can.. smell it..


* Hiei forces himself to turn away from her and clenches his fists.


Hiei- Tell me.. why..?

Sarista- I told you not to.. train us.. I told you to leave us.. as we were.


* For several moments Hiei doesn't move, her words trigger his instincts to begin whispering louder. Then, what's left of the Koorime's coherant mind begins to scream for the jagan. Hiei jerks and his eyes widen. Could it be possible? Could he use the jagan to help him? He feels the third eye begin to open.


Hiei- S-Sa-rista,.. go back to.. the others.. I will d-deal.. with myself..


* Sarista looks up at him puzzled and notices the glow behind his head ward. Without any more words that would aggitate him further the Alpha Female wisely decides to do as she was told. When Hiei is sure that she's gone he falls heavily to sit down, yanks off his bandana, and closes his true eyes.
