Chapter 6: Bad Move

*****

“What in the world?” Kurama pushed himself off the bed slowly, “Ow,” he held his head tightly as a sharp pain filled him.

“Get off of me,” a deep voice grumbled from under him.

“Hi-Hiei…” he stuttered as he quickly got out of bed, “When did…? How did we…? I don’t remember walking home…”

“That’s because I had to drag you, you idiot,” Hiei sat up straightening his clothing, “And then you passed out on me.”

“Oh,” he blushed profusely, “I’m sorry.”

“Hn, I guess I should be heading home.”

“Hey, um, how about if I make breakfast for you? You know… as an apology?”

“… Yeah, sure…”

“Great, what do you like?”

“Cereal,” Hiei answered flatly.

“Come on, I’m not the best cook, but I can make you an omelet at the very least… I can’t promise you that it won’t turn into scrambled eggs, but it tastes the same either way, right?”

“Yeah… eggs are fine.”

“Would you like anything else? I can fry up some bacon and sausage and we have a bunch of fruits, oh, and I think mother bought a few cans of corned beef…”

“Yeah, sure.”

“To all of it?” Kurama looked over the small frame quickly.

“Hn, I eat a lot, what do you want from me?”

“Maybe even more than I thought…” he whispered.

“What? What was that?” Hiei thought he heard something that nearly made him gasp.

“Football players eat more than I thought.”

“Hn,” Hiei nodded, but Kurama seemed to be having trouble making eye contact with him. “Kurama… how much of last night do you remember?”

“I remember being a little frightened that I didn’t mind two different men kissing me… after that it becomes a little fuzzy…” he holds his forehead as his hangover takes effect.

“Hn.”

“Why? Did you let me do something stupid?”

“Well, I tried to stop you.”

“What did I do?” his normally calm alto voice was now filled with complete forlorn.

“Let’s just say that you kissed more than two men last night.”

“Oh no… I didn’t…” he rubbed the bridge of his nose.

“You’re a pretty decent kisser if you’re curious.”

“Well, I’ve come to the decision that I’m not a drinker,” Kurama sighed out.

“As long as you’ve learned something,” Hiei smirked softly following Kurama down the stairs to the kitchen.

Hiei looked around the kitchen completely bored as Kurama made him breakfast. This wasn’t exactly what he had been expecting from last night.

…..

“Shh,” he hovered just an inch over the slightly parted, thin lips.

“Don’t you dare, Kurama,” Hiei growled, trying to get free, “Let me go!” his arms were completely pinned underneath him with the much larger redhead staring at his lips as if they were a fine delicacy.

“Mm, I never knew men’s lips were so soft and sweet,” he ran a finger over Hiei’s thin lips.

“Stop it,” the shorter boy demanded, keeping his teeth tightly clenched.

“Why did you hit Yusuke?”

“Because it wasn’t his turn,” Hiei rolled his eyes.

“That’s right, you never got your turn…” he smiled softly, and leaned in closer.

“Kurama don’t you da..!” the rest of his scold was easily swallowed by Kurama's mouth.

“You taste even…” a yawn escaped, “…better than the… other… mmm…”

“You, god damn, stupid, fucking redhead. Wake up!”

“Too comfy,” was all that was mumbled.

“You mother fucker.”

“Please, Hiei…” the soft breathy voice nearly whispered into the other man's ear, making the football player's entire body twitch with want and lustful need.

The sensuality of the voice was enough to make Hiei think very improper thoughts, “W-what?”

“Please, Hiei… watch your mouth.”

“Stupid fucking redhead!”

…..

“You’re not going to tell me what happened last night, are you?” Kurama let out a heavy sigh as he placed a plate in front of Hiei.

“You actually managed an omelet.”

“Well, one at least,” he smiled, showing the scrambled eggs on his plate, “At least I didn’t burn them like I usually end up doing. Mother usually cooks for me.”

“Hn.”

“Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean anything by it.”

“It happened a long time ago, I’m… about as close as over to it as any child can get.”

“You’re very brave,” Kurama commented nonchalantly.

“What do you mean by that?”

“I don’t know what I’d do with out my mother. I’d more than likely go crazy and never go into public again.”

“I think you’re exaggerating.”

“Maybe a little, but mother takes great care of me. We’re all the other has, and I never even knew my father…”

“That might explain a few things actually.”

“And what do you mean by that?”

“Nothing. You know, for a gay guy, you really can’t cook.”

“I’m not gay!”

“That’s not what you were saying last night,” he smirked poking at his omelet.

“I don’t even know what I was saying last night.”

“Well, if you want a replay…” he smiled suggestively.

The sparkling, emerald green eyes went wide as they met the glittering, amused crimson eyes.

“Hn, you blush a hell of a lot,” Hiei scoffed.

“I am not blushing.”

“Then why are your cheeks bright red?”

“You’re such a jerk," Kurama let out a heavy and annoyed sigh.

“How am I the jerk? You’re the idiot that was drinking too much last night. I warned you to stop after your third drink, but you had to see you limits. You’re such a moron.”

“I’m the moron? I don’t need tutoring just to stay in a sport where someone breaks something everyday.”

“Football is not that violent. I’d rather be in wrestling or kendo, but our school doesn’t offer them.”

“Don’t we have a wrestling team? You just don’t think that you can take people on do you? I’ve been able to pin you twice now.”

Hiei had to work not to spit out his orange juice.

“What? I’m just assuming since you weren’t able to get away that I had pinned you last night.”

Hiei continued to glare at the taller boy, who was just blinking at him innocently. “You’re only able to pin me because you’re so heavy.”

“I am not heavy. It’s not my fault that you never hit puberty or had a growth spurt.”

“Yusuke’s about the same height and I can easily throw him across the room when he pisses me off.”

“I don’t know if you can tell from your line of sight, but I’m taller than him.” This earned Kurama a well known growl from Hiei, “You’re so cute sometimes.”

“You’re going to end up with a broken nose in a little bit.”

“You have such a way with words,” Kurama noted sarcastically as he slowly picked at his breakfast.

“I’m cooking next time,” Hiei took another bite of the eggs.

“Oh, Hiei, that’s so sweet, even Maya never cooked for me.”

“And you cooked for her?” he cringed at the thought of Kurama making a real meal.

“No, I didn’t want to kill her,” he chuckled softly.

“Could fool me, the way you turned her away was a little harsh, even by my standards.”

“I guess it was… I should apologize…”

“Hn.”

“Hey, do you want to do something today?” Kurama didn’t really feel like being alone, knowing that he would start wondering about what happened last night if he had nothing else to focus on.

“I left our things at Yusuke’s.”

“Oh, okay, so we should go get them?”

“Hn.”

*****

“Hey guys… what’s up?” Yusuke, with an obvious hang over slid into the doorway hanging on as best as he could to the frame.

“I’m sorry to bother you so early in the morning,” Kurama bowed, “but…”

“We left our things here, get outta the way,” Hiei brushed past the barely standing teen.

“Hey, watch where you’re goin’ buddy,” Yusuke slipped and fell into Kurama's arms.

“Are you okay?”

“You don’t have to be nice to him, Mr. Perfect,” Hiei huffed, “Knowing him, he never even went to sleep and has been up drinking all night. He doesn’t need or deserve your sympathy.”

“Oh, don’t be so mean, Hiei,” Yusuke smirked, “You’re just mad that I stole your kiss from red, here.”

Hiei just huffed as he pulled out his and Kurama's bags from a large pile of beer cans and bottles. “We’re done here. Let’s go,” he led the redhead away.

“Are you sure we should leave him like that?”

“He’ll be fine. He has never learned his limits, and your limit is a pathetic number.”

“And what is your limit?” Kurama asked, eyeing the cocky teen.

“Twice yours. You’d think with your weight you’d be able to handle more alcohol.”

“I am not heavy.”

“Hn, right, you’re just tall,” he said sarcastically.

“I really hate you.”

“That’s not what you were saying last night.”

Kurama growled in frustration, “And what is it that I said last night?”

“Oh, no, am I getting on the great Kurama's nerves? Is he actually going to break down and…?”

“Will you please just tell me what happened?”

“I offered you a replay,” he smirked at the now faltering redhead.

“Just the recap should be fine.”

“Hn, if you say so,” he shrugged.

*****

Kurama sat in the swing, staring at the ground with a light blush as Hiei was actually swinging a little in the one next to him, “Sorry.”

“Hn, doesn’t bother me.”

“You don’t mind being kissed by a guy?”

“Should I?” he took his time looking over the redhead since the emerald green eyes refused to look at him.

“I thought that you didn’t like guys.”

Hiei shrugged.

“Hiei, do you mind if I try kissing you again?” Kurama saw the very stunned crimson eyes staring at him. “It was a bad idea, sorry.”

“Okay,” Hiei’s expression became somber.

“No, really, never mind.”

“You asked for a reason. Now, why not find out?”

Kurama fiddled with his fingers in his lap, “Well, I mean, I just, you know… It-it’s not important…”

“You wouldn’t have asked if it wasn’t important,” Hiei smirked at how uncharacteristically nervous the redhead had become. It was actually adorable.

“What is it?” Kurama sunk into the swing, noticing how Hiei was looking at him.

“Do you want to kiss me or not?”

“Well… yes, I mean, no, it’s just that there are reasons I want to kiss you not just because I’m… you know…it’s just out of curiosity…”

“Will you shut up,” Hiei scowled.

Kurama gasped as he stared into the crimson eyes. They were a fascinating color. He had no idea as to how those eyes were possible. “Are you sure you want to do this?”

“I’ll think of it as a thank you gift for your tutoring me.”

“Okay,” Kurama stood and approached the shorter boy on the swing.

“What are you doing?” Hiei glared up at the redhead.

“I… I thought that… you said that I could try kissing you again,” he jerked his hand away from Hiei’s cheek.

“You want to kiss me out in the open? Where everyone can see us?” he raised an eyebrow at the taller boy.

“Oh, I guess you’re right… Should we go back to my room?”

“If that’s what you want.”

Kurama stared at the ground as he led the football player back to his house. He could feel his cheeks starting to heat up.

“Okay,” Kurama sat on the bed, “Um, how should we… I mean, how do I kiss a boy?”

“Don’t look at me, you’ve kissed more guys than I have,” Hiei smirked as he settled next to Kurama on the bed.

“I don’t even remember them.”

“But you know that you liked them?”

“…maybe… How many have you kissed?”

“One.

“Who?”

“You of all people should know,” he smirked, and Kurama turned a bright red.

“Right, I forgot…”

“Hn, are you sure you want to do this?” Hiei raised an eyebrow at the suddenly nervous teenager.

“I… yes, if you don’t mind…”

“Whatever you want,” he locked their eyes together. He was determined to make sure Kurama knew who he was kissing.

It was the stereotypical scene, both boys watched through half closed eyes as they leaned in closer, and their lips brushed softly against on another before their hormones took over. Hiei pressed Kurama into the bed and the two continued their heavy make out session. They had broken apart for a breath when Kurama pushed Hiei off of him and started kissing down the shorter boy’s jaw line to his neck.

“Ku-Kurama,” Hiei panted as his fingers ran through the soft, thick mane, long thin hands groped at his sides and worked their way up to his muscled chest. The sensation was incredible. It was more than lust like it had been that one time with Mukuro. There was so much feeling behind every stroke of lips and tongues and fingers.

“Mm…”

“Kurama, I…” he could feel himself losing control, the heat flowing through him was completely demolishing his senses, “I love you.”

The touching… the warmth… the need… it was all gone as the redhead pulled smoothly and slowly, all the while his eyes, which were filled with fear, never left Hiei’s.
“I-I …”

“I’m sorry,” Kurama was off the bed, “I think you should go now.”

“… Hn…” Hiei kept his eyes on the ground. That was not supposed to happen. Walking home was rather awkward. It was out. His crush on Kurama for the past three years… “Shit!” Hiei clenched his fists, which sent a wave of pain over his entire body.

He felt so stupid. He couldn’t believe that he had opened up that much in such a short amount of time. Now Kurama would probably never want to talk to him again… What the hell was he supposed to do now?
