Life Goes On

saiyanb, I gotta say.. wow. Thanks for the review. you know the old saying 'Size matters'? lol. Sometimes bigger really is better, not that I don't appreciate all the wonderful reviews I've been getting. Now I have a lot of replies to cover, so please bear with me. First of all, when I write my works can tend to take on a life of their own, this leads to them usually being somewhat long. I'm thinking this one is probably only about half done at this point. I'm hoping nobody will get bored with it, though, as there are still some more twists and turns coming. Be sure to hang on tight, lol. As far as demons reproducing, I tend to consider nearly all demons 'bi-sexual' to a point, with certain exceptions. Though, I'm noticing that for some reason my trend seems to run mostly toward Earth-based demons, with the exception of Hiei, who has the ability because of his koorime heritage, of course. (How's that for run-on? lol). As for the deaths, as I've stated, I am no respecter of persons. If it works out for my plot, they die. Not that it means I have anything against the character, personally, just that it is a fact of life. Some die more honorably than others, but again, isn't this true in real life, as well? Okay, as for any other developments with this story, I guess you'll just have to stay tuned. :o)

Scene 58 ------------------------------------------- Two Days Later

* Hiei looks toward Kurama when he enters his room carrying a large washtub. Slowly, the koorime struggles to sit up as Kurama sets the tub down beside the bed. Hiei looks up at the tall kitsune puzzled.


Kurama- I felt your thoughts earlier of feeling dirty.. So I figured perhaps I would help you with that..

Hiei- You can't be.. serious..


* Kurama fishes the sponge out of the warm water and squeezes the excess water out.


Kurama- Why would I carry this large tub of water in here if I wasn't, love?


* When Kurama looks toward Hiei again he sees that the koorime is clutching the blanket tightly around him. Kurama sighs.


Kurama- Relax, koi.. I'm only going to sponge you off some..

Hiei- No.. That wasn't the.. dirty.. that I was referring to.. This isn't your job..

Kurama- Are you strong enough to make it to the bathroom to shower?


* In answer, Hiei just lays back down and curls up into a ball beneath the blanket. Kurama's ears droop.


Kurama- Hiei, that wasn't meant to imply that you are a weak demon.. You know that it is just your.. condition..

Hiei- I won't allow you to lower yourself.. to slaving for me..

Kurama- I don't consider this lowering in any way.. I want to take care of you.


* Hiei closes his eyes. He feels Kurama pulling the blanket off of him.


Kurama- It's time you got out of these dirty clothes anyway.


* After a moment, Hiei pushes himself back into an upright position. He keeps his eyes lowered as his hands slowly work the soiled shirt off. Kurama takes it and tosses it away. He then leans to reach for Hiei's pants.


Kurama- Let me help you..

Hiei- Fox,..


* In a move that startles Hiei, Kurama moves to capture his lips, effectively silencing the koorime. It was only meant to be a brief brush, but soon Kurama finds himself plying Hiei's reluctant lips open for deeper exploration. He wonders for a moment why he'd met no resistance until the answer hits him. As the third member of this new tri-mating, it's Hiei's duty to submit to the advances of either himself or Yusuke. Kurama pulls back and watches Hiei swallow. Red eyes meet golden briefly, then lower.


Kurama- You're willing to allow me to molest you, but not care for you?

Hiei- You know as well as I.. that it's my position to.. please you..

Kurama- Look, love.. I understand that this is going to be a long, tedious adjustment for you.. As a demon, I do understand that you feel the way you do because instinct dictates it..

Hiei- I am the Second.. I have been since the beginning.

Kurama- I would still be happy even if I were the Second.


* Hiei's eyes widen a moment. Kurama decides to change the subject.


Kurama- I know that I didn't get the chance to properly claim you, yet.

Hiei- Kurama, I'm not.. strong enough, but..


* Kurama places a finger on Hiei's lips and smiles softly.


Kurama- Do you trust me, love?


* Hiei closes his eyes. He is quiet for a couple moments. Kurama remains patient as he waits for Hiei to finally respond.


Hiei- (Quietly) Hn.

Kurama- Then let me claim you in my own.. special way.. Just lay back and relax.. I won't hurt you.


* Without anymore protest, Hiei lays back. He stares at the ceiling as Kurama sits on the edge of the bed. Slowly and meticulously, the silver kitsune uses the warm sponge to throughly clean Hiei's entire torso, carefully rolling him onto one side to even get his back. When he lays Hiei back into a prone position he can see that the koorime is struggling to stay awake. Kurama sighs quietly, then leans forward to brush Hiei's lips.


Kurama- Okay.. you need to rest some.. I will be back later to continue this..

Hiei- Thought.. you were gonna.. cl-claim me..


* Kurama chuckles and leans again to place his hands on each side of Hiei's head. He emits a growling purr.


Kurama- Mine?


* Hiei hesitates, then rolls his eyes as he shuts them.


Hiei- Yeah.. What-the-h--- ever,.. Fox.. I'm Second beneath you.. Happy now?

Kurama- Yes, Hiei.. I am happy that you are finally where you belong.. As a part of this crazy thing we call a family.


* Hiei opens his eyes wearily to look back up at Kurama.


Kurama- I'll be back later to feed you.. Yusuke has given you to me for today, koi.


* He dips down once more to plunder Hiei's mouth briefly, covers him with the blanket again, then leaves with the tub of water. Hiei watches the kitsune leave then closes his eyes and allows sleep to take him once more.
