Scene 5 ------------ Another Chamber
* When Yusuke enters Staci looks up from the meal she’s eating to smile at him.
Yusuke- Hey.
Staci- Hey, yourself.
* Yusuke goes over and motions toward the food.
Yusuke- Satisfactory, M’Lady?
* Staci rolls her eyes at his honorification.
Staci- It’s delicious. You have a wonderful cook.
* Yusuke turns a chair on the other side of the table and sits on it backwards facing her.
Yusuke- I told them to prepare your food the same as they do my own meals.
* Staci glances at him, but he avoids her eyes.
Staci- Is there a problem or is this a social visit, Mr. Urameshi?
* Yusuke shrugs.
Yusuke- Little of both, I guess.
* Staci pushes her now-empty plate aside.
Staci- Alright. Share with me. I can take it.
* The Toushin grins. He’s come to admire the fiesty girl since he’d brought her here.
Yusuke- I just got a visit from Koenma.
Staci- The baby in charge up there? Where is it?
Yusuke- Spirit World. Yeah.. He came to let me know that Hiei’s on his way to Alaric.. He’ll probably make his position known sometime tomorrow.
Staci- So I should get ready to travel again.
* Yusuke studies her a moment.
Yusuke- Think you can make such a trip?
Staci- Can’t you use that.. Porting technique?
* Yusuke nods.
Yusuke- I was planning on doing that.. I meant, are you able to go through with this?
* Staci hesitates, then sighs.
Staci- I miss Hiei.. I want to be there for his big moment. I really appreciate you helping me to get over that silly fear of your stronger demon energy. Maybe it’ll let Hiei see that I can stay with him, now.
Yusuke- He’s pretty d--- stubborn.
Staci- I know.. But I do love him.
* Yusuke studies the blonde intensely until she decides to distract him.
Staci- Let it out.
Yusuke- What?
Staci- Your power. I want to be sure before we leave.
* Yusuke sighs, then quietly surges his full energy out toward her. Staci just relaxes and watches with amazement as his hair bleeds white and the tattoos appear. She then blushes and looks away from the view of his well-muscled chest that shows through the plain tanned-skin vest he’s wearing. Yusuke recalls his energy.
Staci- That wasn’t.. fear, Mr. Urameshi.. It was my.. delicate condition.
* Yusuke reaches across the table and lays a hand on her closest arm.
Yusuke- Seriously, now. Are you okay?
Staci- Sure. I’ll keep my part of our deal and help you if I can.
* She looks back up at Yusuke.
Staci- You promise you won’t hurt my Hiei?
Yusuke- Of course not.. Can’t say he won’t maim me, though.
Staci- What if even.. using me won’t work?
* After a moment Yusuke sighs.
Yusuke- I already told you.. Either way, you’ll be returned to your mate.. I just want my memories back.
Staci- Sometimes I wish he would take mine.. Not of him or the pack.. I consider them the only family I have left.
* Yusuke stands.
Yusuke- You get a good rest today. We’ll port over to Alaric in the morning.
* He starts toward the door.
Staci- Is that all the Prince told you?
Yusuke- No.
* Yusuke looks back at her from the door.
Yusuke- I guess Kuwabara and Yukina are worried about you.
Staci- I see.. Is there any way you can let them know that I’m okay? Yukina worries so much over me.
* Yusuke thinks a moment.
Yusuke- I’ll see what I can do.. Contact me if you need anything, Sis.
* Yusuke bows respectfully to her making her giggle, then leaves.
