Scene 5 ------------- Several Hours Later
* Coutaro is busy fixing dinner in his kitchen area when he feels Hiei waking up in the bedroom. He stays busy as he waits to see how Hiei will react to what happened. It is several minutes before Hiei comes out of the bedroom. The Koorime pauses at the familiar sight of Coutaro in the kitchen. He looks toward the main door, considering that he should just make a hasty exit since his instincts seem quiet for now.
Coutaro- Nothing.. major happened.
* Hiei looks back toward Cou. With a deep sigh he gathers himself and nods.
Hiei- Hn.. I.. remember.. most of it.
* Coutaro half turns to glance toward him.
Coutaro- You'd better go find your gelding and get it taken care of.
* Hiei starts toward the door, then pauses when he reaches it.
Hiei- It's not that I wouldn't find you.. acceptable.
* Coutaro's eyes widen and he looks toward Hiei.
Hiei- But with my.. position I.. I can't..
Coutaro- I understand, sir.
* Hiei looks back at him.
Hiei- I will remember your integrity, Coutaro.
* Coutaro shrugs with a slight blush.
Coutaro- I'm the youngest of three.. I'm used to being on the bottom.. I also know what it's like to be taken advantage of.. I'd never do that to anyone else.
* Hiei nods.
Hiei- My mate Troiyoku is very attracted to you..
Coutaro- He's a handsome guy, himself.
Hiei- Hn. I know that you are attracted to him, too.
Coutaro- But he belongs to you.. I won't cross that..
Hiei- I can give you permission to be with him.
* Coutaro nearly drops the pan of meat he was removing from his oven. He recovers, sets it on the stove, and turns. But Hiei is already gone. Coutaro shakes his head and gets back to his meal.
