Hiei's Harem - Pt. 3 - Returning

Scene 5 ------------- Three Days Later


* After discovering that Minoro couldn't move as quickly as himself, Hiei had slowed down. He used the time to get to know this young hybrid a little better. His mannerisms, skills, and personality. As yet, though, he has made no sexual advances. He has too many other things occupying his thoughts. They'd passed most of their daytime travelling in conversation concerning mostly D'Tara. The slower pace has also given Hiei time to allow his jagan to map the way to his ravine. By the time they near the bush-lined mouth of the canyon the Koorime is fairly confident that he'll be able to locate and return here from anywhere in Demon World that he might end up. Hiei glances at Minoro when they land at the edge of a wide meadow. He then motions toward the mountain that can be clearly seen beyond the tall bushes.


Hiei- My ravine runs from that mountain and ends at those bushes.


* When Hiei's jagan flares Minoro notices it. Having already learned what this means through experience, the younger male turns on high alert. He works himself into a position that will cover Hiei's back. The Koorime quietly preens at this show of protection a moment, then turns his attention back toward the bushes.


(#) Hiei- There's a small group of lowclasses watching us.

(#) Minoro- We can take them..


* Hiei smirks at the younger male's confidence.


(#) Hiei- Probably, but it's not us they're after.. They're clamoring to get beyond Lily's bushes.


* Minoro glances toward the wall of dangerous plants again. He feels Hiei flare out his full energy a moment. Almost immediately two things happen. First of all, the small group of rogues scatters. Second, the wall of thick bushes parts to make a narrow path.


Hiei- Stay close to me, Minoro.

Minoro- Lead the way, Boss.


* They go over closer to the plant barrier. Hiei pauses to look up at the taller demon behind him once more.


Hiei- Walk calmly.. These aren't just..

Minoro- They're various species of carnivorous demon plants.

Hiei- Hn.


* Hiei nods and they continue talking calmly as they make their way through the path. It closes behind them as they go.


Hiei- How do you know?

Minoro- One of my earlier masters was a Red Kitsune.. He could create some nasty plants.


* When one plant tendril extends to inspect Minoro the young male freezes. Hiei quickly raises a hand with a small burst of energy. This staves the curious plant away. When they make it all the way through the leafy defense Hiei stops and smirks, but remains alert. Minoro tilts his head down at him curiously, then looks up more alertly. Three figures leap down from trees and land in a crouch not far from them. Hiei takes a moment to allow his still-open jagan to scan their thoughts before he closes it and relaxes some.


Hiei- Troiyoku, Gamaru, Silis.


* Each stands as their name is called. Troiyoku and Silis notice the strange male behind Hiei. Gamaru's eyes stay fastened on Hiei.


Hiei- Any trouble while I was gone?

Troiyoku- The plants have been eating almost non-stop for the past couple days.


* Hiei catches the scent that wafts toward him from Gamaru and his nostrils flare slightly before he regains his concentration.


Hiei- Hn.. And now I know what's attracting those lowlifes.


* As if on cue, they all hear a scream as another demon had tried to push through the bushes behind them. Hiei thumbs over his shoulder.


Hiei- This is Minoro.. I located him a couple days ago.


* Hiei watches Troiyoku and Silis approach to inspect Minoro.


Hiei- These are my three subordinate males.

Sillis- He sorta smells like.. 'Garo.

Hiei- I scanned his memories. He's one of D'Tara's sons that was taken from her when he was weaned.


* Troi and Silis look at each other then lower their eyes sadly.


Hiei- What?

Troiyoku- Aunt D'Tara has been refusing to eat.. When we woke this morning she was nowhere to be found that we can sense.

Silis- We were this way looking for her when we felt your energy.


* Minoro raises his head and closes his eyes. Hiei holds up a hand quieting the others, familiar now with most of Minoro's skills.


Minoro- She's still alive.. but she's weak.. She's in this ravine somewhere.. To that side.


* He motions toward the Western wall.


Hiei- Okay. You three return to the main cave. Tell my women to ready a meal for us. We'll find 'Tara then join you all.


* Troiyoku and Silis nod and move back beside Gamaru. The larger male's eyes are flaring and he is nearly panting outright.


Gamaru- I.. want to.. accompany you,.. Master.

Hiei- No. I'll see to you as soon as I return to the cave.

Gamaru- But I'm..


* Hiei blinks closer to glare up at him, using his jagan to shield himself from the effects of Gamaru's enticing scent.


Hiei- Go or you'll be suffering until I decide you've suffered enough!

Troiyoku- Come on, Gam.


* After a couple tense moments, the larger subordinate reluctantly leaves with his brother and Silis.


Minoro- I see now that you're used to dealing with stubborn guys.. Was that one pregnant?


* Hiei grunts and turns away from Minoro to push his bandana up. It isn't long until he locates D'Tara in a smaller cave that tunnels back into the Western wall.


Hiei- Follow me.. And stop asking such rediculous questions.


* Hiei and Minoro hurry away toward the West.
