HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY everyone!! Here's a couple nice new scenes for you. Thanks for the great reviews, I enjoy reading everyone.

Scene 5 ----------- One Wekk Later/ Alaric
* Mukuro enters the control room of her mobile fortress.
Mukuro- Has there been any sign of that little b------!?
* Though everyone in the room knows who she means, nobody answers. Mukuro curses vehemently a moment then quiets. If her heir did, indeed, get enticed away by the scent of a demon in heat there could be a number of reasons why he hadn't returned. Her calculating mind quickly ticks them off as she begins to pace, 'He could have gotten embroiled in a battle.. He could have been injured in such a battle where instincts, wit, and strength are the only things most usually relied on.. He could have been killed..' Mukuro pauses a moment to dwell on this thought, then shakes her head and begins to pace the other way. 'On the other hand, he could have won..' Mukuro stops pacing. Although she's made herself quite aloof since procuring her status, the cybernetic demoness is still very knowledgable on the manners and natures of most demon species. She learned fairly quickly in her early years about the instincts that can drive most male demons, especially ones that have won dominance in such battles. Her uncovered eye falls on Captain Halamaru, who just happens to be one of the navigators today, 'How fruituitous', she smirks.
Mukuro- Halamaru!
* The demon nearly leaps over his console to demonstrate his state of shock at the sudden yelling of his name. His hand slams down on the button that stops the forward motion of the fortress, causing everyone to lurch. Mukuro regains her footing, growls a moment, then goes over to lean on the console.
Mukuro- Set a course for the last location you seen Lord Hiei.
Halamaru- But that's way down..
Mukuro- Just do it! He may be injured!
* The officer glances up at her as his hands run over the keyboard typing in the coordinates.
Halamaru- S---, I don't think I want to meet the demon that can injure Lord Hiei.
Mukuro- You should know from experience that a male, clouded by a demon's heat, doesn't fight with his brain.
* Halamaru gives this a brief thought, then nods. He hits the enter button and feels the fortress lurch to turn and head in the new direction.
Halamaru- But if he won he could be out there taking care of your grandchild.
* For a couple blinks Mukuro stares at the Captain, hardly able to believe that he just said what he said. Then she cuffs him upside his head.
Mukuro- Hiei is not my son! He's just my heir.. for now.
* With that Mukuro turns and leaves. Halamaru raises up and rubs the back of his head quietly thanking whatever god intervened that he's still got it.
