Chapter 5
Yusuke woke up to the sun shining and shot up in bed, looking at the clock. 'Good, I'm not late.' He thought and got out of bed. He quickly dressed and used the bathroom before creeping out, into the hallway. His mother was nowhere in sight and left the house. It was already 8:30 and he wanted to be early. 'Hopefully Yama is there today.' He thought and headed to the Spirit World, hopeing that Koenma wouldn't do anything until he straightens everything out.
He arrived at Spirit World and the others were already waiting there for him. "Well I guess we all had being early in mind." Yusuke said. "Yeah, we couldn't wait to tear into the fat King." Hiei said. "Okay, lets go." Yusuke led the way into the castle and looked around for George. After a couple of minutes they found the bumbling Ogre and went over to him. "George." Yusuke called and he went over to them. "Are you here to see Koenma?" He asked with sparkles in his eyes. "Are you in love with the guy or something?" Kuwabara asked.
Before George could speak Yusuke butted in. "No. We need to speak with King Yama. Is he in today?" George nodded, his face filled with fear. "Yes he is. I'll show you to him." He said and they followed him to a large door, in the next hallway. "This is his office. Knock first, I'm not staying here while you talk to him." He said and left. Kurama knocked and the voice came from inside. "Go away, I'm busy." Yama said and Kuwabara banged. "Open up, in the name of LOVE!" He yelled and Yusuked put his head in his hands. "God you are such a dumbass Kuwabara!"
The door opened and Yama glared at them. "What do you whelps want!?" He roared. "I want to talk to you about my mom and Koenma." Yusuke said and the King waved a hand. "I have no interest in talking about such trivial matters." Yusuke growled and charged up his Shotgun attack. "We talk or I let this loose, maybe not on you but the castle won't stand much of it." He said and Yama gritted his teeth. "Fine you little half breed, you and your brainless bunch can come in." He stomped to his desk and sat in his chair.
"First we don't think it's fair what you are doing to your son or my mother. You should have no say in the matter, you should be happy that he has someone." Yusuke said and Yama snorted. "How can I be happy when he wants a lowly human woman. A woman who birthed a freak might I add. I will not be made a fool of by my son a God wanting to be with such a being." Yama said and Kuwabara raised his hand.
"You can't tell your son who to love and who not to! You don't know what love is!" Sparkles fly behind him in a scenery of flowers. "I can't let you interfere with true love!" His eyes get watery with tears. "I will not let you ruin their changes at true love, for I am the Master of Love!" Kuwabara yelled and they had sweatdrops.
"God damn it Kuwabara shut the hell up about that!" Yusuke yelled. "I'm just helping you dick!" Kuwabara yelled back. "You guys are suppose to be arguing with Yama, not each other." Kurama pointed out and the two turned to the giant once more.
"There is no such thing as 'true love'." Yama said. "You pick the person with the most powerful influence, have an heir with them and then that's all. You don't need love when you have power over others. Koenma should know that by now, but he always was so sentimental. Just like his mother." He snorted. "The woman actually thought I 'loved' her. So weak, she was." He said. "As for my son and his whore, my demands remain intact. If he's not rid of her within a day, then it's so long to your mother half breed."
Yusuke yelled and slugged him in the huge fat head, sending him into darkness. He panted and the King laid unconscience. "Guess we find another way. Maybe Genkai might know of someone that can help us. Lets see Botan and have her call her." They headed to Botan's station and she saw them. "Botan, call Genkai for us will you. We need to see her A.S.A.P." Yusuke said and Botan nodded. "Okay, will do." She said and the old woman was hailed to Spirit World.
Meanwhile Koenma sat in his bedroom and sighed unhappily. 'Why does father care? It doesn't matter to the others if I choose a human wife.' He thought and laid on his bed. 'I should go see Atsuko, tell her it's over. I don't want to see her heart break though. I don't want to see tears in those beautiful eyes of hers. Maybe I should just kill father and be over with his unbearable rules.' Koenma rubbed his chin in thought. 'Maybe. I wouldn't miss him. Spirit World sure as hell wouldn't. I don't think anyone would really care.' He thought and to the Armory to look around.
