Say What?

LK: Yay! I lost that evil 5 pounds I gained over Thanksgiving!

A/N: Sorry Philepa, you'll have to be patient to find out what's going on. I'm not gonna spoil it.

And to Lama-sama, yeah, I know what Shi means. That's why I used it. ^ ^ You'll find out later with everyone else.

Whoa! Easy Katzztar! I have no plans of killing our dear kawaii Kuwa-chan. And don't get so philosophical on me... And, no Shi wasn't referring to Kuwa's being close to Koenma... If you go back and read my description of Shi... you might get an idea of where I'm going with this. Also, as many different Pantheons are described throughout history, it would make sense for there to be more than one God of Death. Enma just happens to be one taking his turn at the moment.

Don't worry, it'll make sense later... I hope. And I had been hoping for a lemon soon, but Katzztar nearly fried my brain so I had write up a little plan. But I'm better now.

Maybe going after Koenma had been a bad idea...

Kuwabara could only stare, his mind having taken a coffee break, at the demi-god as he walked toward the lakeshore.

Koenma's lithe body was drenched, water running down his skin in remits. The essence of a wet dream as he forced his hair out of his eyes, his gaze landing on a stunned Kuwabara.

A light blush appeared on the godling's face, and in millisecond he was clothed and dry again. It was good to be a god, well half-god anyway.

Physically shaking his head Kuwabara tried to remove the image of a nude and wet Koenma from his mind... But alas, it was forever engraved for him to drool over on a rainy day.

They stood there staring at one another, neither willing to break the awkward silence. After a few minutes Koenma finally gave in. Standing there quietly was obviously not helping the situation any.

"I, have to go. If I don't get back soon to finish my paper work George will have kittens." He tried to smile, but for some reason the idea of leaving Kuwabara made him sad.

"Oh... right... Yeah, I guess you are kinda busy." Kuwabara's face fell, his eyes dulling, and he started to turn away. "I just wanted to say... thank you."

Koenma just stared at the ningen as he walked away. He wanted to take the boy in his arms but decided against it. Trying to form a relationship with a human would only end in tragedy.

Smiling sadly, Koenma disappeared from view.

Shizuru glanced up as a familiar aura appeared across the room. She smiled and motioned for her visitor to come closer. Once he was sitting beside her at the kitchen table she soundly pounded him on the head.

"Itai!" Shi yelped, rubbing his newly formed knot.

"Don't be such a baby, you're immortal." Shizuru growled.

"Being immortal doesn't mean I'm immune to pain." Shi frowned. "Now, what was that for."

The woman glared at him. "It's been years since I've seen you, and you still haven't given me the OK to tell Kazuma."

"Don't worry, things have already been set in motion. I spoke with him earlier today." Shi smiled.

The older Kuwabara sibling cocked her head to the side in question. "Oh really? And did you tell him everything?"

"Well, no..." He held up his hand, realizing Shizuru was about to knock him around some more. "I thought it would be best if you were around to confirm my words. But I did give him my signature."

Deciding that his reasoning made sense, Shizuru reached into her shirt, bring out a pendant of a silver skull into view. "One of these huh? What did he think of it? Did you use the 'Even Death protects those who are close to him' line?"

"Yes I did, and he said it was creepy." Shi chuckled. "You're brother is truly one of a kind. Let's just hope that Koenma hasn't inherited his father's idiocy, and makes a move."

"Hmm."

They both turned in the direction of the living room when they heard the front door open. A moment later a glum Kuwabara entered the kitchen, depositing his duffel bag on the floor.

He looked up when he realized another familiar aura was sitting beside Shizuru at the kitchen table. And he froze as his gaze landed on Shi.

For a few seconds he just stared at the two sitting there, their expressions that of mild amusement.

"What the heck is going on!" Kuwabara demanded, pointing accusingly at Shi. "And why is the creepy guy from this morning sitting in our kitchen?!"

"Shut up Kazuma." Shizuru said calmly, pulling out a cigarette. "This is Shi AKA Shinigami, the Angel of Death." She lit her cancer stick and took a few puffs. "Our Great Grandfather."

A/N: I was gonna write more, but I decided to leave you guys hangin'. *grins* And now I must go take more notes to prepare for that 500 word paper I have to write in class later today. And after that I have my final on Thursday. Then I'll be out of town Friday through Wednesday, and I'll get back the Thursday after that. Then I should be free from school until Jan 10. So hopefully more writing will happen, but as always, no promises.

As for any mistakes in spelling and whatnot... oops... But I have no spell check on my comp and I'm in a hurry so, yeah. Anyway...

Ja mata!
