A loud wail sounded from one of the guest rooms.... Kuwabara was crying again.

Genkai sighed. What on earth had she been thinking, when she gave up her peace and quiet.

Everyone had moved to the temple ASAP once hearing about Kuwabara's condition. And that had been three months ago. Only the old woman could swear that it felt longer. Due to the fast rate pregnancy, Kuwabara looked like he was nearing the end of his term. She should be so lucky, unfortunately they still had three more months of this hell left.

And hell it was, especially for one tall, over-emotional ninjen. Kuwabara it seemed, had taken to crying over almost nothing, leaving Hiei feeling lost and confused. After all what was he supposed to do with a distraught human?

This was one of those times.

Kuwabara sat on the futon, wailing, his sobs carrying on the air, alerting the rest of the household of his distress.

Hiei sat beside him trying to soothe his overly-stressed mate. "Kuwa calm down."

Kuwabara continued to cry. "Well how would you like it if I called you big first thing in the morning!"

"It was a compliment.... I like you this way." Hiei grumbled.

Kuwabara glared through his tears. "So you didn't like me before huh? Is that it Shrimp!?"

Hiei sighed. "I meant I liked seeing you... like this.... filled with our child. Is that so bad?" He looked at his mate questioningly.

The human's sobs died down to affleffle. "I... I guess that's... not so bad."

The fire demon let out a sigh of relief. He really needed watch what he said. Already he'd lost count how many times that week alone that he'd made Kuwabara cry with but a single comment.

"Are you hungry?" Hiei questioned softly.

One look from those watery cerulean eyes told him that another bout of sobs was about to begin. Which filled the small demon with an unusual sense of panic. He did not want to face a hysterical Kuwabara.

"The baby needs nourishment." He supplied quickly, holding his breath to see if his reasoning would work it's way into the human's hormone filled brain.

"A little."

Hiei closed his eyes in a silent prayer. "What would you like?"

"Tuna and Ghram crackers."

The demon hid his distaste and nodded. "I'll get it for you." He stood to leave and was almost to the door.

"Uh, Hiei... Maybe you should put some clothes on first."

Turniack ack to futon he grabbed his pants and slipped them on. After all, he didn't want a repeat of last night.

Yusuke, Botan, and Kurama had been sitting in the kitchen, drinking tea and playing cards. When to their obvious shock, a naked and distressed Hiei swooped into the kitchen.

Not paying them any mind, and completely ignoring their open-mouthed stares, he raided the freezer of ice cream, and a box of left over chinese take out.

He ignored them that is.... until he heard a whistle behind him.

Turning to stare at them, he blinked. Yusuke was grinning.

"Hey Hiei... Nice ass."

Wasting no time he raced out of the room, more worried about a testy Kuwa than suddenly flirtacious Urameshi.

This time the kitchen was empty, save for Shizuru and her much needed coffee. He learned long ago that it was not safe to get between the ninjen female and her coffee.

Calmly he walked to the fridge, reaching for the container of tuna-fish salad. He turned, only to find Shizuru holding the box of Ghram crackers. He accepted them and set about making the odd disgusting little treats. The things he did for his Kuwa. Blech.

"Hiei, do me a favor." Shizuru began. "Please don't flash Botan anymore, she came crying to our room last night and demanded that I erase the horrible image of a naked demon from her mind."

Hiei smirked. "Was that a bad thing?"

She smiled. "The sex was great, but I hardly slept at all. Just refrain from doing it again."

"Hnn."

"Thanks Hiei."

"You wanna do WHAT?" Yusuke couldn't believe his ears. It was so ridiculous. So he did what any sane human would do... He laughed. And not just a simple chuckle, the poor boy was rolling on the ground, holding his sides.

"It's not funny Urameshi!" Jin growled. "This is really important!"

Yusuke was hiccuping now, and wiping tears from his eyes. "Sorry.... it's just not everyday that a bunch of bad-ass demons..... wanna throw a baby shower for a.... pregnant man."

"I'll give that little guy Hiei this much. I never expected him to take up with that big guy." Chu smiled. "That reminds me.... Where's Botan?"

Yusuke grinned, his hiccups were gone now. "Sleeping, she wore herself out with Shizuru last night." Chu looked crestfallen at that statement.

"Back to the business at hand." Touya frowned. "When would be the best time?"

"First, why are you guys so into this?" Yusuke asked.

"You have to be sensitive to these kinds of things." Jin said. "I remember when my Da forgot my Papa's anniversary... It was not a pretty thing ta see Urameshi."

The Spirit Detective looked at Jin as if he'd just grown another head. "You had two Dad's?"

Jin nodded. "I'm a result of the Baby Bite."

"That's why you wanna throw Kuwabara a baby shower?"

"That's right!" Rinku piped up.

"All right." Yusuke sighed. "We'll talk to the others this afternoon. Kuwabara will either be asleep, or Hiei will keep him, uh, occupied."

"That's the Spirit Urameshi!" Chu exclaimed, clapping the younger man on the back.

This could get very interesting.

LK: Well, that took a little doing. I actually had to look in the pantry for ideas.

Yusuke: *grins* Oh no?

Kuwabara: *blushes* Not all the time anyway.

LK: ^_^; I am now considering another pairing, which may end up branching off into a side fic. Probably Yusuke and someone else. Although I haven't decided who... still thinking on that. *sighs* My brain is filled with sex right now. But that's what happens when you read a load of Joey/Seto fics. Then there's all those Dark Hunter Novels my Mom sent me.

Tsume: Dear Kami!

LK: Yes, that's right. You can all thank my Mom for my obsession with Sex. After I finished 7th grade she practically shoved my nose into a bunch of romance novels, aka soft porn. My friends always tell me she's the coolest. ^^;
