A/N: Well, this is the last part of this four part story; this is the end of part 3 ^_^ I've been waiting to write this chapter ever since I got the idea for this story. This was one of my original ideas for this story and I soooo couldn't wait to write it and here it is....I'm gonna cry *sniffles* I hope you guys enjoy this new chapter and I'll try to get the next set of chapters out soon, for the last part of this story; yes this means this story is 3/4s the way done! Chapter 48: I'll Be There When Your Heart Stops Beating

Your eyes widened, as did everyone in the creature and even Koenma, who was the most shocked of all to have Yusuke appear randomly next to the demi god and just easily knock the pacifier out of his hand by just 'bumping' his elbow before grabbing it.

Koenma turned annoyed eyes to his 'detective' who just did the most idiotic thing in the world!

“You guys forget about li'l ol' me?” Yusuke said, before jumbling the pacifier in his hand and made a grossed out face. “Bleah! Slobbery!”

He then turned serious eyes to Koenma.

“I've got a major stake in this y'know.”

The pacifier seemed to float in Yusuke's palm as he glared daggars at Sensui.

“Anyway, I'm ready for the next round.”

“Ah, yes where were we?” Sensui said, looking a bit annoyed.

However, Koenma was the one to interrupt this time.

“Hey you idiot!! Give that back!” Koenma yelled.

However Yusuke ran away as Koenma chased him.

“Whoa! Stop! Not down your PANTS!!” Koenma shouted as he chased Yusuke around and watched in horror as Yusuke was playing around with HIS pacifier.

You watched with a sweat drop as Yusuke ran around the cave, in circles, some how on the side of the wall, and even on the lower part of the ceiling as he put the pacifier in his mouth, almost down his pants, and even juggling it around as he ran away from a frantic and pissy teenage demi-god.

“This is no time to be foolin' around! Give me th--” Koenma said, finally getting close enough to grab the pacifier however, he didn't even get to finish saying what he wanted as Yusuke landed a powerful upper cut to Koenma's jaw.

You watched with a wince as Koenma flew backwards and landed hard on his back. You couldn't help but run over to the demi god and look over him. He was just scratched up a bit, meaning Yusuke had took it fairly easy on the young god. You gave a sigh of relief but turned glaring eyes at Yusuke.

“You know, you could have just let him do what he was gonna do.” You said but you sighed and shook your head, “But I know its not your style to let others fight for you, so, you better kick his ass Yusuke, or I will.”

You winked at him after that. He looked at you and gave you a smirk. Before he turned with a glare plastered on his face at Sensui.

“Sensui...one of you said you didn't care about the portal anymore. Truth is, neither do I. It's just about you and me. I don't care what happens after that.” Yusuke said with a serious face.


“I believe he means it...” Kurama said a bit confused but narrowed his eyes in thought.

He always found it hard to figure out the leader of their so called team.

“It's just Urameshi being Urameshi.” Kuwabara said with a small growl.

However, it was just enough to describe what it was perfectly.

“However, I'm tired of you. I wanna fight someone else.” Yusuke said while pointing at Kazuya who looked a bit taken back.

“The guy I was fighting earlier...he'll do. Get him out here.” Yusuke said.

“What're you talking about? You'll fight me!!” growled Kazuya.

“Waste of my time man.” growled Yusuke, with a look that made you shiver.

He looked more than annoyed; more so pissed off. Yusuke took a step forward.

“How DARE...” Kazuya started, raising his gun arm up; however by the time he got out, “you..” Yusuke was in front of him, deflected his arm and let loose more than five strong gut crushing punches into his stomach.

Kazuya spat out blood as he fell back a few feet, landing hard on his knees; keeled over throwing up blood. Yusuke however screamed in pain and held his arm.

“GRARRR!! IT DON'T HURT A BIT!” he growled through his teeth.

You sweat dropped.

“Yeah, so you're showing pleasure in your face eh?” you sighed and shook your head.

Yusuke ignored you as he walked towards the gasping Kazuya.

“No more messin' around. Get the other guy out. We got things to settle, him an' me.”

Kazuya continued for a few more minutes with his coughing and grunting in pain before he completely stopped everything. You felt a chill go straight down your spine and back up to the top of your head. You eyes widened at the pure power that pulsed off the man now. It was an energy you hadn't ever felt before since you had arrived here.

He stood up slowly and straightened up.

Yusuke raised an eyebrow at this new person.

“Well? Who are you?”

After a few moments the man before Yusuke stared back before a smile crossed his blood stained lips; his eyes the lightest blue you had ever seen and an innocent about him that was beyond creepy.

“I'm Shinobu. Nice to meet you.”

You blinked at the guy, there was totally something off with him, that was for sure you thought.

“'Nice to meet you”...?” Kuwabara mumbled not able to believe that this guy would say that.

Hiei and Kurama gave the man a second look, while Mitari's eyes widened.

“Oh gosh, he's...” Mitari started but wasn't able to finish by how much in awe it was in.

“We've never actually talked before, have we.” Shinobu said as he looked pleasantly at Yusuke. “In fact, this is the first time I've been 'out' in quite a while.”

He raised his hand in a friendly way and took a few steps towards Yusuke, looking ready to shake his hand. Your eyes widened.

“Be careful it might be a trap!” you shouted.

Shinobu turned to you with those chilly blue eyes and gave you a hurt look.

“You shouldn't judge me, my dear.” he said with a frown and a shake of his head.

He took a step towards you, which made you shiver; however before the man could do anything else; Yusuke was in front of him with his fist pulled back.

“Don't you go near her!” he shouted as he brought his arm forward ready to hit him in the gut.

However he found himself on the ground; his arm in Shinobu's hand and soon a foot in his gut. Yusuke grunted as blood spat out of his mouth. With an innocent face, Shinobu continued to stomp into Yusuke's gut.

Your eyes widened. It was horrifying; especially the fact that his face looked blank and innocent; as if he didn't realize what he was doing was wrong. You shook your head before you growled. You couldn't just sit there and watch this sicko beat Yusuke into the ground. You got onto your feet and were about to rush at him when he stopped and looked down at the bloody teen at his feet. He bent down and took Yusuke's limp hand into his own and shook it.

“I'm fine, thanks.”

“Not after this!” you growl before rushing at him with you boe out in your right hand; your 'good' hand.

Your left was still hurting and it was still tightly wrapped closely to your chest. You screamed as you brought your bo back and was about to strike him on the side of his head, when he seemed to vanish in front of your eyes which, grew wide. However, instead of Sensui being behind you with an attack, he was walking towards the beast that held Itsuki and the rest of the gang. You fell over from both shock and the momentum you had run at him with. You growled as you slowly got onto your knees and spat some dirt that got into your mouth from your fall.

“Rude much.” you growled while staring at Sensui.

“Itsuki...I need a spare arm.” Sensui said with such a calm demeanor that it gave you chills.

You jumped when you felt a hand on your shoulder. You turned around to find Yusuke now sitting next to you. You looked him over and saw that he had a very serious look to him, but it was a scary look; one you haven't seen him make during the entire time you had been around him.

You looked back towards Sensui and found two arms with eyes covering them, behind Sensui, who was moving his new hand around and was wearing another black v-neck shirt. You looked back at Yusuke who's energy seemed to change a bit. Yusuke stared at Sensui with an intense look. You recognized THAT look and it usually meant one of two things; Yusuke figured out a plan, or he was going to do something stupid. You could tell it was a little of both.

All of a sudden, a surge of power came from Sensui. You looked over at him with wide eyes; as Sensui stood there with a golden glow surrounding his entire body. Yusuke's eyes lost their intensity and looked at Sensui with shock.

“His aura, its's...gold!” Yusuke said.

“unh...owww...”

You looked in the direction of the moaning and found Koenma was waking up. He sat up and touched his chin. However, the power surge seemed to hit him as he stared at Sensui with a horrified stare.

“Oh no...he's radiating...holy chi!” Koenma said.

You blinked at Koenma before looking back at Sensui.

“The ultimate aura! Even Genkai couldn't attain it! Yet you have, in just ten years...” Koenma said.

Your eyes widened at hearing that.

'So he's stronger than Genkai...' you thought. 'We're in deep shit....'

“It's a matter of innate talent, Koenma.” Sensui began, “Urameshi, even if you had ten times the aura you do now, it would be far from holy. While,” Sensui said turning to you; which made you involuntarily gulp.

He smiled at you.

“You aren't much closer either.” he said with a snicker.

You growled and narrowed your eyes. Yusuke seemed to tense up next to you, as if he sensed something. You glanced back at him before putting it back towards Sensui. You tensed up as well; ready for whatever would happen.

“Mine is, however and that's worrisome. I don't want to seem like a bully.” Sensui said before vanishing.

Your eyes widened, however, you didn't hesitate and neither did Yusuke as you both barely dodged the attack. Sensui frowned at the fact he had missed. He turned to Yusuke who didn't give Sensui another opportunity to attack and began to attack Sensui; who just stood there, laughing.

You paled as you watched Sensui catch Yusuke's hand and with an innocent face punched Yusuke's arm right between his elbow and wrist; closer to his elbow. Yusuke screamed in pain, as he let go of the pacifier, which he still held in his possession, until that moment. You rushed to his side, however you stopped when you saw how pissed off he was; you could see it in his eyes. He took off his shoe and just as Sensui was about to grab the pacifier; which was floating in the air where Yusuke had 'dropped' it. Yusuke hit Sensui smack dab in his face. Sensui just stood there as the shoe slowly fell from his face. Sensui smiled, giving you a creepy and sicking feeling in your gut.

“It won't be that easy, pal.” Yusuke said with an insane grin, laughing a bit.

“I see. You want to die?” Sensui asked.

“Better than givin' up.” Yusuke said with a determined look.

His right eye was swallen and half closed, dried blood at the corner of his eye. He looked a bloody mess; in both terms of the word.

“SHINOBU!” Koenma shouted.

“Hey! STAY DOWN!” Yusuke growled at Koenma who tried to get up.

“This is MY fight. Keep out of it, okay? That includes you (YFN).” Yusuke said, turning to you with a serious look.

“Yusuke...” You whispered, a bit taken back at how Yusuke was behaving.

“What's this about?” Koenma asked.

“I'm not sure, but I think I'm getting mighty close to understanding something.” Yusuke said, the look that crossed his face made you take a step back.

He looked possessed.

“What?” Koenma asked, not understanding what Yusuke was going at, but neither did Sensui or you.

“Sensui...I'll warn you...if you have any doubts...you should kill me now.” Yusuke said, taking a quivering step towards him.

Sensui looked as if he didn't know how to answer that.

“Come on...” Yusuke said, outstretching his hand as if trying to invite Sensui to attack him.

“I'm looking forward to what's ahead. Something amazing's gonna happen. I suggest you finish me off...before it does...” Yusuke said.

You looked at him, not understanding what he was talking about. What did Yusuke know? How did he know what it was? What was going on in that brain of his? You just didn't know. You looked at Yusuke with confusion and concern. He couldn't continue fighting Sensui in his condition or he'd be killed.

Then it hit you. Your eyes widened as you looked at the demon that held Kuwabara and the rest of the group. Kuwabara's aura was fluctuating. Kuwabara's aura was slowly changing and becoming stronger. It was on the edge and with Sensui's power and Yusuke's power flying all over the place it was hard to sense the bomb shell that was building up in Kuwabara's body.

However, when you looked back at Yusuke you figured out what he had in mind. Your eyes widened at his plan.

'He wouldn't...' you thought.

“Well? C'mon!” Yusuke said looking Sensui dead in the dies with a taunting smile.

“He is...” you whispered with wide eyes.

“Urameshi's up to something and I bet Sensui ain't gonna like it.” Kuwabara said.

“You think so? I don't.” Hiei said.

“Huh?”

“Sensui hasn't really shown his hand.” Hiei said.

“Whattaya mean?” Kuwabara said turning around however he stopped anything else he planned to say.

'I'v never seen Hiei so nervous...' Kuwabara thought as he saw sweat dripping down Hiei's face and neck.

“Being human, you can't see that Sensui's aura is up there with that of a Class-S demon.”

Kuwabara blinked in awe before narrowing his eyes and looking over at Kurama.

“He's been very careful with Yusuke up to now, doing minimal damage, a light punch, a broken arm...he's being even more so with (YFN).” Kurama said, sweat pouring down his own face.

“That's crazy!” Kuwabara said, clenching his hands into fists and looking back out at the scene below.

“No, it's reality.” Hiei said, sweat dripping from his clenched fists, “I'd assumed he was merely boasting but he really does have the power to kill us all. Heh...Class-S demons are rare, even in the demon plane...yet here's a human who could match one....”

“What...?” Kuwabara said with more questions over what was really going on with Sensui and what was Yusuke planning to do.

You stood next to Yusuke and glared down Sensui.

'I won't let Yusuke do this, or at least let him do this alone.' you thought.

You had made a promise to not mess up this series, however by how the things looked; you didn't care about that any more at this point.

The room shook as rocks began to fall from the ceiling.

“Sorry, that was my fault. I'm restraining my self but...its difficult. I don't dare exert myself here. I must say, its frustrating.” Sensui said.

You snorted.

“Why bother?” Yusuke said.

“Yeah.” You added, earning a glare from Yusuke however, you ignored it.

Now that you knew what Yusuke's plan was; you were going to help, even if Yusuke had to kill you himself to stop you.

“You want to destroy the world; so just do it already. Why do all bad guys have to make such a dramatic scene over things like this? Forget opening a hole to the demon world; just destroy the world yourself. You can do it obviously.” you said.

Sensui glared at you and snarled.

“YOU FOOL! YOU'RE AS BLIND AS THE REST!!” Sensui growled as he sent a spike of his aura at you, making you, Koenma, and Yusuke fly backwards hard into the cave wall.

“Again, sorry.” Sensui said with a weak smile, as you coughed up blood and Koenma moaned from his position on the ground.

“I love the world, its air and sky, its flowers and animals....but I despise its humans.” Sensui explained.

Yusuke sat up slowly and spat some blood out of his mouth before looking up with an insane look that looked a bit smug.

“Glad we straightened that little mistake out.” Yusuke said.

Sensui smiled a friendly smile back at you and Yusuke.

“Stand up. Face the final stroke.” Sensui said, looking ready to end this entire battle.

Koenma stumbled to his feet and looked at Yusuke.

“We still have time, Yusuke! Give me the pacifier!”

“'fraid I can't do that.” Yusuke answered, glaring down Sensui.

“What...?” Koenma said, taken back.

“He managed to take it from me.” Yusuke said, opening his injured hand, “He's something else.”

Koenma looked at Sensui who had the pacifier hovering in his hand.

“I see. Well then...” Koenma said.

Koenma narrowed his eyes and brought his hands back as if he was about to make a Kamehameha wave (Disclaimer). You shook your head at the thought and watched with anticipation, hoping that Koenma would be able to stop Sensui. Otherwise, Yusuke's plan would be the only option.

“EVIL SEAL RING!!!” Koenma shouted as he fired off a strong blast of energy radiating from his entire body into his arm that was outstretched; and straight at Sensui.

Sensui grunted as the light from the attack surrounded him.

“I'll go with you, Shinobu...to the demon plane!” Koenma said as he held his ground.

The ground beneath you shook at the power Koenma was emitting.


You watched as Sensui was frozen with in the force field. Sensui struggled a bit until slowly his hand moved. Koenma's eyes widened as sweat dripped down from his face; holding his position and putting more energy into his attack.

“No...not possible!” Koenma said as Sensui's hand moved up, a grin on his face. Sensui grabbed the pacifier and with a scream, his entire body's golden glow brusted thru Koenma's force field, sending the blast up and making a hole in the cavern ceiling. Rocks broke beneath your feet and sent Koenma flying in the air. You and Yusuke were sent backwards a bit but were able to keep standing. Once the earthquake stopped, Koenma was barely able to stand on his feet. Sensui stood there, the pacifier gone as he had destroyed it.

“You'd have defeated a demon or a regular human. However, you know as well as I that holy chi is ultimate sacred energy. It may resonate with a spell, but no spell can seal it.” Sensui said.

Koenma wobbled on his feet before falling to his knees.

“So even I....can't stop you.” Koenma said.

“That pretty much sums it up.” Sensui said with a satisfied smile.

You growled and took a step forward. You had enough of all of this, and it seemed like Yusuke had your same thought. He took a step forward and patted Koenma on the head.

“Spells aren't the issue here y'know.” Yusuke said, taking a step in front of Koenma.

“YUSUKE! DON”T! BACK OFF!” Koenma shouted.

“Ah, that's right...the final stroke.” Sensui said.

You took a step forward, also stepping in front of Koenma.

“(YFN) WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Koenma said, his eyes widening even more.

“You are going down, one way or another.” you said, cracking your neck before taking a few more steps towards Sensui; giving him a look that made Yusuke's eyes even widen a bit.

Then you stopped in front of Yusuke a bit. It was here, Yusuke realized you had saw his plan. Little did he know, you had a different one than him.

“If you want to deliver that final stroke, you're gonna have to go through me to get to do it.”

He closed his eyes and shook his head.

“Why did you have to have my stubbornness.” he snorted with a smile.

You glanced at him. All you could do was smile at him. Words weren't needed at this moment. Only a melody came to your mind. You closed your eyes. It fit perfectly.


You could heard Kuwabara from inside the creature and you felt a tear fall down your face. Yusuke didn't know what you were going to do; all he knew was what he was going to do. However, you knew that in order for the plan to work, you had to play your part in it too.

“What the hell is (YAFN) doing?! She trying to slow Sensui down or something?” Kuwabara said.

“Perhaps...” Kurama said, his eyes widening, “But remember what happened with you and Toguro?”

Kuwabara thought about it for a moment before he remembered how you rushed out towards Toguro and he had jumped in front of you, taking the supposedly fatal strike; or it was suppose to be.

“What? But that...they....” Kuwabara said, realization hitting him.


“URAMESHI! (YFN)!!!” he screamed.

Yusuke smirked while you felt a tear fall from behind your closed eyes; as you began to sing.


So this is how it’s gonna be,
You and me are history
We will never look the same
But the end is coming
(Sensui looked at you but smiled. He stood there before closing his eyes and listening to your voice, which seemed to be so sweet to the ears. Yusuke looked over at you with a sad smile. He knew that it was cruel to make you have to witness what he was going to do. However, he knew in the end it would work out. He turned a smug smile at Sensui and waited for his fate)


Your time is running out
The rain is falling
So raise your voice and shout:
(Kuwabara pressed against the 'window' of the creature and stared down in horror. “DON'T DO IT, URAMESHI! (YFN)! KOENMA! GET YER BUTT IN GEAR AND STOP THEM!”)

This is a blackout
And you’ll find out
It’s gonna come and take everything you love away
Blackout, coming to your town
We’ll never run away
So stand and fight another day
(Yusuke could only barely make out Kuwabara's screams as he was focused on Sensui. “Well, you heard the lady. What are you gonna do about it? Do you dare deliver that final stroke of yours, or do you think I'll kill you before you touch her?” Yusuke said, a secret smirk on his lips. He was going to pull the same move Kuwabara did and keep you safe. However, tears fell from your eyes as you had another plan in your brain, one that no one could see coming.
You continued to sing as Sensui opened his eyes and stared at the two of you.)

So this is where it all began
This is where the story ends
We will never need to leave
But we keep running
The walls are coming down
This is a warning
So raise your voice and shout:
(“LISTEN TO ME, (YFN)! I ONLY DID IT BECAUSE OF YOU! URAMESHI, STOP THIS! DON'T MAKE HER DO THIS! DON'T RISK HER LIFE YOU ASSHOLE! WHAT KINDA BIG BROTHER ARE YOU?!” Kuwabara shouted. You could feel his feelings and feel his memories from where you stood. You continued to sing but couldn't help but see Kuwabara's memories.
You saw a younger Yusuke with a meaner face and a younger looking Kuwabara.
'Who're you? Kuwabara? So what?' came a young Yusuke voice.
'Next time, Dude, you'll remember me.' came Kuwabara's younger voice as his face looked beaten to a pulp.)

This is a blackout
And you’ll find out
It’s gonna come and take everything you love away
Blackout, coming to your town
We’ll never run away
So stand and fight another day
(“THIS ISN'T HOW IT SHOULD HAPPEN! YOU CAN'T, YOU JUST CAN'T URAMESHI! DON'T DO THIS (YFN)! YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS!” Kuwabara screamed as another memory, this one of you appearing in your mind.
It was the day you had met him, you wearing your pjs and wrapped in your Scooby-Doo blanket.
You bit your lip and shrugged your shoulders.
'I have no clue...I don't know what happened...I can't really remember anything that happened before I came here.' you heard yourself say. You felt as if you had grown since then. Then you watched as you saw yourself wobble.
'(YLN)-san? You okay?' Kuwabara younger voice said before he yelped as you fell into his arms.
More tears filled your closed eyes as the pain in your heart grew as you continued to sing)


Oh,
Going out, going out, going out (x12)
(Kuwabara saw another image, this time one of him and Yusuke; Yusuke beating him up and his friends there telling him to give up. You saw an image of him looking at you while you were wearing a towel while in his room; and then how you rushed out of the room and locked yourself in the bathroom. He thought of the time Yusuke and he went to Genkai's tournament. He remembered the training you had with Kurama, then the Dark Tournament. He was going through all of the memories over the entire time you had been with him and the memories he had of Yusuke. You could feel him powering up as he thought more of all the times he had spent with you and Yusuke; both separately and together
“Aw man...those were the good ol' days....” Kuwabara said, tears flowing down his face. “An' they don't mean nuthin' right now! You don't know how much I....how much I...damn it.....I....grrrr.” Kuwabara growled as he shut his eyes, tears coming from behind the closed lids. He couldn't dare say what he felt in his heart; all he could do was scream out in pain and agony. “
URAMESHI! (YFN)!”
“Hey.” Hiei said, turning to Itsuki, taking off his cloak and powering up his right hand.
“Release us, now. If we're gonna die...I'm gonna die MY way.” Hiei said, his eyes filled with power.
“Hiei...” Kuwabara said, turning around with shocked eyes, filled with tears.
“Yusuke might be miffed at us for hording in, and I'm sure (YFN) will beat us over the head with her bo; but they'll have to deal. That's how I see it, anyway.” Kurama said, taking out his rose whip and narrowing his eyes at Itsuki.
“Kurama...” Kuwabara said, feeling the emotions from both of his teammates..)


This is a blackout
And you’ll find out
It’s gonna come and take everything you love away
Blackout, coming to your town
We’ll never run away
So stand and fight another day

(“Let us join Yusuke and (YAFN)-chan, Itsuki.” Kurama demanded again.
“No.” Itsuki said bluntly. “The five of you still won't be able to beat Shinobu...but you might come up with a way to escape”
“What kinda fiend ARE you?” growled a pissed Kuwabara.
“One who knows the score, human. Hiei, Kurama, you used to be Class-A demons. Circumstances have changed you both...and if you escape you'll become even stronger. I can't permit that. You're to die, one by one.” Itsuki said.
Hiei snorted before giving Itsuki a grin.
“You're one...perfect fool.”
“I DON'T GIVE A FLYING CRAP WHAT THE ODDS ARE; LIKE IT OR NOT I'M OUTTA HERE! AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME!” shouted Kuwabara as his Jigen To appeared in his hand.
“SHINOBU!! LOOK OUT! I CAN'T STOP THEM!” Itsuki said.)

Going out, going out, going out!
This is a blackout, this is a blackout, this is a blackout.
Woah
Woah

Woah

(They were his last words as Kuwabara cut through him and the barrier that held him and the rest. They all fell and watched as Sensui ran towards Yusuke who just stood there, you standing in front of him just singing. As Kuwabara and the rest of the gang's feet touched the ground; and just as Yusuke was about to dash in front of you; your eyes snapped open you and turned around. This had caught Yusuke off guard long enough for you to tackle hug him. He caught you and stood firmly; with shocked eyes. Before he could push you off or say anything; Sensui made his move.)


Kuwabara screamed as he watched blood splatter as two bodies hit the ground.
