Saphire woke up to someone rubbing her back. She was still lying to her back to Kurama.
Looking up she saw Hiei was on his back and her head was rested on his chest while his
arm was wrapped around her waist. She sighed as Kurama wrapped his arm around her
chest and pulled her closer. Hiei looked up to see why she had moved and smiled when he
realized what Kurama did. Saphire looked up and noticed that the door was slightly ajar.
She smiled lying her head back down. Bright flashes and clicking noises sounded from the
hallway heralding the arrival of the Demon lord.
“Yusuke, if you take one more picture,” she growled raising her head to look at the door.
“I will personally rip off your balls and make you eat them.”
Hiei looked at Kurama and grinned. “And I thought I was the sadistic one of the group.”
Kurama chuckled. “Well now we have two sadist and an endangered demon lord.”
Looking at the door, Kurama saw Yusuke walk into the room holding four Polaroid
pictures.
“Now this is one hell of a picture.” Yusuke said as he closed the door. He laid the
pictures on the bed by Hiei. Picking one up, he grinned, “I’m just going to keep one for
my own personal collection. The rest is for you to do with how ever you like.” Saphire
smiled as she sat up, making sure that the sheets still covered her breast. “You can have it
as long as you don’t show it off to others.”
Yusuke laughed. “Never fear. They will never be seen by anyone. At least not to any of
the bad guys.” He got up and started to leave the room. “I’ll just let you three get
dressed. Breakfast is ready when you get down. Just don’t take too long or it will get
cold.”
When Yusuke had shut the door behind him, Saphire rose and got out of bed. Well I’m
hungry, hoout out you two?”
Hiei grinned. “I’m hungry for more than food.”
“I figured that much.” Saphire said smiling. “I would love to have some more ‘fun’, but I
have to sneak into my stepfathers house o get some of my mothers things that she had left
me when she died.”
“Do you need our help?” Kurama asked as he put his clothes on.
Hiei buckled his belt. “You don’t need to go there by your self. At least have Botan or
Yukina go with you, just in case.”
Saphire sighed. “All right, but I’ll need to shadow walk there. If I take them along then I
will be helpless. Do you think it is still wise?”
Kurama wrapped his arms around her shoulders and Hiei wrapped his arms around her
waist from the front. Kissing the top of her head, Kurama shook his head. “No but we
would like to know you have friends that can take on a human and not kill them.”
“All right.” Saphire said sighing. “I’ll do as you ask.” Walking towards the door,
Saphire stopped. “Are you coming to breakfast, or am I to eat alone with Yusuke?”
The two demons laughed as they walked out with Saphire.

Botan looked around as Saphire walked into the house. Yukina walked in behind Saphire.
Botan was going to keep watch out for Saphire’s stepfather while Saphire and Yukina got
what Saphire needed. “Any sign of him?” Saphire asked telepathically as she entered her
room.
“No. How’s every thing in there?” Botan mentally replied.
“Good.” Saphire said as stopped. Suddenly the door slammed behind her and Yukina
started to call for Saphire as she tried to open the door.
“Saphire! Saphire, are you all right?”
Saphire turned around and stopped as she felt something go around her neck. Balling her
hand into a fist a burst of energy flared out and formed a katanna. Before she could turn
around she felt arms wrap around her arms and pin them to her side.
“Did you miss your Stepfather?” Saphire cringed as hot breath blew on her neck. Ryuu
Ryo sd asd as he felt Saphire cringe. “I’ve lost a lot of business because you left. I plan
on fixing that problem.”
Saphire paled. ‘Oh Kami! How am I getting out of this?’ She thought as Ryo spun her
around and struck her. Hheckheck burned from blow. Saphire stepped into a shadow and
tried to phase through it in hopes of getting away. Her eyes widened when she realized it
didn’t work.
“Can shadow walk can you?” Ryo sneered as he came closer to her. He laughed as she
tried to summon her Katanna, that she had lost when he had grabbed her, and failed.
“You can’t use your abilities as long as you have that necklace on around me.” Saphire
looked down and noticed the necklace. It was like Hiei’s tear gems that he always wore,
but solid black. Grabbing the necklace she tried to rip it off but the chain would not
brake. “Only a full blood youki can remove that necklace. Now that your abilities are
suppressed I plan on having a litfun.fun.” Saphire was scared now that she was helpless.
‘If I can’t use any of my abilities then he can do anything he wants to me.’ She could still
hear Yukina banging on the door. She also heard Botan as well. “BOTAN GO GET
HIEI AND KURAMA!!” Saphire yelled trying to run to the window. If she could only
make it she could crash through it and escape. Her hope of escape shedshed as Ryo
blocked her path. “How did you move so fast?”
“come now Saphire. How do you think I moved so fast?” He sneered.
Saphire looked around frantically for and escape route. Seeing the door she desided to
stall Ryo. ‘Yukina? Can you hear me?’ Saphire prayed that the message would be heard.
‘Saphire is that you? Whagoingoing on in there?’ Yukina replied
‘Yukina I need you to use your powers and freeze the door. I’m going to try to make my
escape by bursting through it.’
‘Okay. Here goes nothing.’ Yukina concentrates and freezes the door. ‘You don’t have
much time. Hurry!’
Saphire yells for help one more time and Ryo laughs. “Come now do you think anyone
will help you here? That little ice youki can’t harm me anymore than you can now in your
current position.”
Saphire turns and runs to the door. Ryo stands there and laughs. Crossing her arms in
front of her face, she hits the door full force and it shatters. Saphire laid on the floor and
groaned in pain as Yukina tried to help her up. Ryo shakes his head in approval. “This is
why you are my ace in the hole You think on your feet and are more powerful than most
Youki.”
“Leave her alone!” Yukina yelled standing in front of Saphire.
Ryo moved in front of Yukina and knocks her aside causing her to smack her head on thenistnister post knocking her out in the process. “Now were is your other friend “Sh “She went to get help, so you might want to run while you can.” Saphire said spitting in
his face. Ryo back hands her and straddles her while pinning her arms above her head.
Smiling he leans towards her and kisses her. Saphire bites his tongue when he forces it in
her mouth.
“You stupid Bitch!” Punching her, Ryo rips her shirt off and ces ces the two bite marks on
her neck. “You’ve been marked!” Grabbing her by the neck, Ryo lifted her off of the
ground. “Who is the ‘special’ youki?”
“What do you mean?” Saphire choked out. “How have I been marked?”
“You have bite marks on your neck. That means you practically married the damn youki!”
“Then that means you can’t have me doesn’t it.” She choked out as he squeezed her neck
tighter.
n ifn if I can’t have you,” He pulled her face closer to his. “Then no one will.”
Saphire’s eyes widened as Ryo felt a cold metal press against his neck.
“You do any mto hto her and I won’t be the only one to dismember you.” Saphire smiled
as Ryo put her down and backed up. “I do believe you are out numbered, Ryo.” Saphire
said looking at Hiei and Kurama. Yusuke stood behind Kurama and Kuwabara was with
Yukina.
“Are you both her mates?” Ryo asked following Saphire’s gaze. Pushing her into Hiei and
Kurama he ran into the bedroom and jumped out the window. Yusuke ran after him while
Kuwabara attended to Yukina.
“How do you feel?” Kurama asked as Saphire concentrated on her hand.
“I still can’t use my powers.” Tears flowed down her face as Yusuke entered the room. w dow do I fight him if I can’t use my powers do to this necklace?”
“Where did you get this?” Hiei asked examining the necklace.
“Ryo put it on me. Do you know how to remove it?”
“Me and Kurama can remove it without a problem.” Standing up he and Kurama forced
their youki into the necklace and it shattered under the pure force of power. “Lets go
home.”
Yusuke stops and looks at Saphire. “I need you to go to Reikai and tell Koenma about
Ryo and maybe he can pull up some files on him so we can go after them.”
With Hiei and Kurama helping her and Yusuke lending her his Jacket to cover her as they
leave, Saphire wondered if Ryo would try to get use of her powers again. If he did try,
would she be strong enough to defeat him.
