Ch. 4
AN: Thanks for the reviews!! They really motivate me! And I'll try to respond as often as possible.
Kit-kit- There will be Yusuke love eventually... I'm currently writing chapter 8 of this arc. I'm still not sure when I'll start the Yusuke arc, but I
think in a chapter or two from here is where I'll start it. That gives me a week or so to figure out how I want it to go.
Tachimaru- Thank you for the review you gave me right after I posted chapter 1!! I just realized I didn't respond before.
Chapter 4
Kurama comes home from lunch with his mother with a sad smile on his face. "She said she needed some time to sort out her thoughts," he explains.
Hiei nods. "What's the plan, fox?"
Kurama heads upstairs to pack his things, Hiei following. "We go to the Makai, and do what we can to avoid a war, like we planned. I'll deal with mother when it's over."
"What about Inuyasha?"
"I still want to keep him, you?"
"Hn," Hiei nods. "We should go find him when you're done packing then."
Hiei grabs his katana from the corner and puts on his coat. "You agreed much easier this time, koi," Kurama observes.
"This time I know you've thought it through."

Hiei and Kurama wander the woods outside Genkai's temple in search of Inuyasha. Eventually they come to a grassy hill with a solitary tree spreading it's branches over it. In the boughs, lounges a drowsing Inuyasha. The wind shifts carrying their scent to him and he jerks awake staring with red tinted, predatory eyes at the two approaching figures. Inuyasha closes his eyes covering his nose with a sleeve trying to regain control over instincts he wasn't sure he could follow just yet. When his eyes open again, they are his usual amber.
Hiei and Kurama approach the tree. "Inuyasha," Kurama calls. "Can you come down?"
Inuyasha drops to the ground landing on his haunches before straightening up. "Listen. Before you say anything," Inuyasha begins, "I can't do a casual thing with you two, if that's what you decided you want. I can be friends with you, or... something more. I ain't about to be a fuck buddy though," Inuyasha finishes.
Kurama sits down on an exposed root with a sigh. "Come here Inuyasha. You have foliage tangled in your hair." Inuyasha shrugs sitting down in front of Kurama. Hiei leans against the trunk of the tree, choosing to let Kurama do the talking for now. Kurama starts untangling sticks and leaves from Inuyasha's hair, "I told my mother the truth about me today." Inuyasha turns frowning up at Kurama in confusion at the turn in the conversation. "Turn around, I can't reach the worst snarls, Inuyasha," he commands softly. Inuyasha, still frowning in confusion, turns back around. "Did you know Hiei has been trying to get me to tell her since we were mated? I've always resisted, and yet you, who I've only known for a few weeks now said what I needed to hear within hours of us meeting." Kurama smiles untangling the last of Inuyasha's hair. "This was never going to be a casual thing."
Hiei sits down next to the two. "I follow my instincts," he says simply looking off into the surrounding woods.
Inuyasha turns to him warily, "What do your instincts tell you?"
"What do yours tell you," Hiei counters turning to look Inuyasha in the eyes.
The wind shifts again swirling their combined scents around him. Hiei watches as Inuyasha's eyes bleed red and faint markings begin to surface on the inu's cheeks. Inuyasha closes his eyes leaning into the scent instinctively before pulling back with a shudder. The markings fade as if they hadn't been there, and, when he opens his eyes, they are back to normal. "When I first met you, they were a mere whisper to get close. I was satisfied being friends. You two are already mated after all. But after this morning..." Inuyasha pulls his knees to his chin. "They're screaming to take you, mate you, keep you safe and away from Yomi and Mokuro." Inuyasha's eyes had bled red, claws elongating, purple stripes appeared across his cheeks, and he seemed to snarl out the last on the list. He took a deep breath through his mouth calming himself down until he looked normal once more, "Do ya even know how the silver inuyoukai act with their mates? We're territorial and domineering, but fiercely loyal. I've seen my brother and how he is with Shippo. The only reason I can come close to my own kit is because Shippo threw a fit the first time Sesshomaru threw me through a wall for hugging him. That wasn't just him being the bastard he is. It was his instincts which go into overdrive when we become mated." Inuyasha buries his nose in his clothes, "I don't want to be like that, but I'm not sure if I can help that. If you want more than friendship from me, then that's what you get."
Kurama carded through Inuyasha's hair in thought, "You seem to be controlling your instincts pretty well now. What makes you think you'll become a raging jealousy monster if you were to mate with us?"
Inuyasha sighed, "I'm not," he admitted. "I'm not sure of much when it comes to these things. Hell, I shouldn't even still be alive right now. Hanyou usually die young."
Hiei frowns, "You are not a hanyou. What is this nonsense?"
"But I was. Sometime after Kagome died and I went to the Makai with Shippo and Sesshomaru, the demon blood in my veins started to take over. I didn't even realize it at first, but one month my human night didn't come. Miyoga said my father's blood was too strong in me to allow the human blood to kill me."
Hiei nods at the explanation before continuing on with their previous conversation. "Could it be that Sesshomaru's instincts are so strong because his mate is significantly weaker than him," Hiei asks.
"Could be. Shippo is clever and manipulative, but he's not what you would call powerful," Inuyasha replies. "It's why I took him into my pack in the first place even after he tricked me." Inuyasha smiles fondly at the memory. "The kit has always needed someone to look after him when his tricks backfired."
"Then maybe you won't be as bad with us because we are not weak," Hiei says shrugging. "Either way, I'll follow my instincts. You should too. Life is less unpleasant that way."
Kurama nods, "Follow your instincts, Inuyasha. Mine never steer me wrong."
Inuyasha shudders, "I hope you remember, those words," he growls. Inuyasha spins around tackling Kurama to the ground tearing their clothes away. his eyes have completely bled red and the markings on his cheeks are jagged, his sharp canines larger than normal. He smashes their faces together in a feral kiss, fangs cutting into Kurama's bottom lip, tongues battling for supremacy. He drags his nails down Kurama's chest never once breaking the skin until he gets to Kurama's arousal. He grasps it with clawed hands and pumps, forcing moans and droplets of precum. Suddenly Inuyasha flips Kurama onto all fours. Kurama tries to rise up with a sound of protests before Inuyasha pushes him down with a bite into the back of his neck and digs his claws into his hips to hold him still. Kurama freezes instinctively and Inuyasha growls a warning. Inuyasha removes one hand from Kurama's hip and digs his claws into his own palm using the pooling blood to slick his member before he thrusts into Kurama without warning. He shudders removing hit teeth from the back of the fox's neck to lick and nip at the fox's jugular. Inuyasha pulls back until just the head remains in his fox and thrusts back in hard, hitting Kurama's prostate head on. Kurama cries out loving the rough treatment as Inuyasha thrusts into him animalisticly. Inuyasha feels his end approaching, but holds off until he feels Kurama release. He lets himself go with a final trust into Kurama's quivering body, sinking his fangs into Kurama's shoulder just to the side of the jugular, pushing his youki into the wound, marking Kurama as his. Inuyasha gently lowers his mate to the ground licking the wounds he inflicted closed, then turns to Hiei.
Hiei watched everything with wide eyes and when Inuyasha turns to him he looks from the inu staring at him with red, feral eyes to his mate and back, then grunts taking off his clothes. Inuyasha waits for his soon to be mate liking this act of submission. When Hiei is done disrobing, he kneels on the grass presenting himself for Inuyasha, his instincts telling him that an act of submission now would minimize the damage his soon to be mate might inflict. Besides, he knew in different situations he could reduce the inu to a whimpering pile of mush, and he didn't mind being submissive, so long as it wasn't all the time.
Inuyasha prowled up to Hiei stroking his claws down the shorter demon's back, growling in approval at the show of submission. He slicked himself like he had for Kurama and thrust into Hiei, grabbing him by the hair to pull him up into a harsh kiss, while he thrust into that tight, warm heat. He let go after a moment, trailing his claws down the Jaganshi's chest until he grasped his mates manhood and started pumping in time with his thrusts. He pistons in and out until he brings Hiei to his release following with a few final thrusts, biting into the opposite shoulder he bit Kurama on right next to the carotid artery. He lifted Hiei up and deposited him next to Kurama licking them both clean before running out into the woods to hunt for his mates. His instincts wouldn't settle for a while and he needed to provide for them.

Kurama woke to see Hiei curled next to him and smelled wood smoke and cooking meat. He sat up looking himself over, surprised he was so clean, and feeling so little pain. He reached up and felt where Inuyasha had marked him and felt a tingling sensation. Suddenly, Inuyasha was by him, looking him over and nuzzling into the mark. "Are you hungry? I hunted while you slept." Hiei yawned sitting up. Inuyasha immediately turned to him, looking him over and nuzzling Hiei's mating mark before going to the fire where slabs of meat roasted on spits. He grabbed two and handed them over to his mates watching as they began to eat. It was nearing sunset.
Inuyasha went around the fire to the carcass of a boar and started ripping chunks of meat off, putting some on spits, and setting the rest aside. When he was done he took the leftover skin and bones into the woods in the opposite direction they would have to go to get to Genkai's. When he came back he turned the spits and munched on the raw meat he had set aside. Hiei finished his meat and tossed the stick it was on into the fire. He started getting dressed, "I will be back in a little while. I need to go get clothes to replace the torn ones from before."
Inuyasha nods from his place by the fire, "My robes are fine. They're self-repairing." Hiei kisses Kurama, then Inuyasha before heading out. "Sorry for ruining your clothes," Inuyasha says to Kurama, "And for attacking you the way I did."
Kurama chuckles softly, "Don't apologize. It was thrilling. And it's not like you did lasting damage. I'm surprised I'm not still bloody and am able to sit up."
"It's my blood. It kept damage to a minimum when I entered you by rapidly healing any initial wounds. Then I licked any external cuts away. My saliva has healing properties when I need it to, but it doesn't heal blood loss, so eat up." Inuyasha handed him some more of the cooked meat.
Kurama took it and ate quietly watching the sky change colors as the sun set. By the time Hiei got back Inuyasha was dressed and wrapping up the last of the meat. Inuyasha watched Kurama stand to get dressed, "Why don't you have any scars," he asks suddenly, "You've been in plenty of battles, and you don't heal like demons do, so where are your battle scars?"
"By the time I was fighting demons powerful enough to seriously harm me, I was ably to draw on Youko's power to heal my wounds," Kurama said simply. "Fighting with a weapon that kept my enemies at a distance didn't hurt either," he adds with a smile.
Inuyasha nods, going back to his task of wrapping the last of the meat. "Lucky," he comments softly subconsciously brushing his fingers across one of his uglier scars. He shakes his head at his own silliness, and grins, "So, what's the plan after we cross to the Makai? You gonna head straight to the kings, or do you have time for a detour?"
"A detour?" Kurama looks at Inuyasha inquisitively, "Where?"
Inuyasha tucks the parcels of meat into his haori. "Well, I'm sorta already in trouble with Sesshomaru for running off, stack onto that leaving the dimension, and gaining two mates without word... letting you traipse off to two dangerous kings of demon world before meeting him would just be the icing on the cake that of how I 'disappoint' my brother. Not to mention, not introducing my new mates to my kit would be wrong." Inuyasha grins. "Shippo will be green with envy at how I bagged the.. how did he put it? 'the epitome of all fox kind in the three worlds'."
Kurama laughs at the last part, "I have plenty of time. I was initially going to go after Shiori's wedding anyway. Hiei?"
"Hn. I have time."
"Great! Then we'll all go with Yusuke to his old man's place, watch him get his ass kicked, move on to Sesshomaru's and deal with family matters, then I'll escort you two to the other kings." Inuyasha grins kicking dirt on the fire to put it out. "Lets head out then."

Inuyasha looks around to get his bearings and sighs. "They couldn't have picked a location closer to where we want to be?" He pauses sniffing the air, "You've got company Yusuke. Raizen seems to have sent you an escort. Che. As if you need one." Three bald men suddenly stop before them in a cloud of dust. "Get lost, I've already promised to escort the kid to Raizen's place."
The three glance toward Inuyasha the middle one grins, "Yes, well, your brother has requested we escort all of you to ensure you don't wander off again."
Inuyasha cringes slightly, "Please tell me you're messing with me." Inuyasha backs up a step at the bald man's evil grin. "Hokushin! Buddy! It's not like I was avoiding him on purpose." Inuyasha laughs nervously. "I got stuck in human world for a while."
"Inuyasha, it's really not my business, but you know you have to go home. If we have to drag you kicking and screaming then we will, but you are going."
"I know that," Inuyasha snaps. "I was gonna go home after escorting the kid anyway. I was just hoping you were joking because that would mean he hadn't noticed yet that I was through the barrier." Inuyasha sighs, "Well, lets get goin." He starts the run to Raizen's tower.
Kit-kit- There will be Yusuke love eventually... I'm currently writing chapter 8 of this arc. I'm still not sure when I'll start the Yusuke arc, but I
