Chapter Four: Meeting the Spirit Detectives!!
Yusuke Yurameshi could be very loud at times, and today was no different. He stormed into Kurama’s apartment yelling at the top of his lungs to gain everyone’s attention.
“Yurameshi, there are reasons why we use indoor voices.” Kazuma Kuwabara said to the loud detective.
“Shut it ugly!” came the reply as Yusuke plopped down unceremoniously onto the chair in front of the television.
“Real mature, Detective.” came the quiet reply from the fire demon in a dark corner of the room.
“Bite me shorty.”
“How would you like me to severely shorten your life?” came the reply.
“Enough. Stop fighting.” Kurama said to the two arguing boys’ as he walked into the living room. “We have to discuss the new mission that we were give.”
“Did Koenma give us an address that we could find them at?” Yusuke asked.
“He got it from Potter-San’s father. Apparently they are living in an old family home.” Kurama replied.
“At least we don’t have to hunt them down.” Kuwabara said lazily.
“Humph, less work for you then.” Yusuke mumbled.
“Settle.” Kurama said warningly. “Now, we know where they live but we don’t know what they are like. They are both trained in magic and know how to use it, so no provoking.” He added with a glare at the fire apparition.
“When are we going?” Kuwabara asked.
“In two days, that will give us plenty of time to organize things.” Kurama said.
They spent the next two days going over what they knew about the two mysterious boys’, making sure they knew everything. They planned to just go to their home and confront them as well as offer their help. If this Dark Lord was using Demon’s to attack the Ningen world then he had to be stopped.

When they arrived at Harry and Draco’s home, they were surprised by what they saw. It was a nice two story house that was quite big, the gardens in the front yard looked well kept and from what Kurama could see of the backyard it looked nice as well, Yusuke was just glad that they didn’t have to walk up any stairs. When they got to the front door, Kurama rang the bell and they waited for someone to come.
“Maybe no one’s home.” Kuwabara said after they had waited for five minutes.
“Maybe they didn’t hear the bell,” Kurama said as he pressed it again.
Not two seconds later, they heard a yell from inside. “Yeah, yeah. Keep your shorts on.” Before the front door was opened and in front of them stood Harry still dressed in his fighting garb.
“Hi. And you are?” Harry asked his guests.
“Harry, play nice.” Draco said as he came up to the door.
“Why?”
“Don’t mind him, he’s just bored. Come in.” Draco said as he held the door open for the Spirit Detectives.
Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama and Hiei followed Draco and Harry into the sitting room where a middle aged man was currently sitting; he was flicking through the pages of a magazine and completely ignoring them. The Spirit Detectives sat down in the seats indicated to them and turned to look at the boys’.
“We came to talk to you about something very important,” Kurama started.
“Would you mind telling us who you are first?” Harry asked them.
“Of course, sorry. My name is Shuichi Minamo; this is Kazuma Kuwabara, Yusuke Yurameshi and Hiei” Kurama said as he stood and pointed to each person.
“Well you must know who we are, or other wise you wouldn’t be here.” Draco said.
“That’s true. We do know who you are.” Kurama replied.
“You are Draco Malfoy and you are Harry Potter, we have come here to speak to you both about a very important matter and are hoping to do so in private.” Kurama said as he cast a nervous look at the man spread out on the other couch.
“Don’t mind him, that’s just Toro.” Harry said and then was promptly hit in the head by a balled up piece of paper. “Hey.”
“We already know that three of you are Demon’s, you can speak in front of him.” Draco said to the Spirit Detectives.
After casting one final look at Toro on the couch, Kurama went into the details that revolved around their mission. He told them everything that Koenma had said as well as what they were told by the Malfoy’s and Potter’s. All three men sat their listening to the tale without a word until Kurama had finished telling it.
“So, what you are trying to tell us is that Voldemort is recruiting Demon’s and using them to rain terror on the Wizarding world?” Draco asked.
“Yes. If he’s not stopped then the Wizarding world as you know it will cease to exist and Voldemort would have gained great power over those weaker then him.” Kurama told him.
“I say we let the bastard’s rot.” Was the mumbled reply from Toro, who had kept quiet throughout the whole conversation. “They never did anything to help Harry when he was in their world, so why should he help them?”
“Because if Voldemort isn’t stopped, then he won’t just decimate the Wizarding world, he’ll be after the human world too.” Yusuke said, unusually mature for once.
“He’ll never stop; he won’t quit until everyone who refuse to bow down to him are dead and gone. He’ll just keep going until the world is how he wants it and he won’t care about those who get in the way. He needs to be stopped. I’m not doing this for the Wizarding world, they can get fucked for all I care, I’m doing this for me and those I love. I will not see more innocents killed because of that insane megalomaniac. I’ve lost enough family at that mans hands and I will not sit back and let the murder and torture go on.” Harry finally spoke up. He had been thinking while everyone else were talking and had voiced his thoughts to the room at large.
“I’m with you all the way, Harry. The Order aren’t doing anything, they’re just sitting on their collective arses arguing over who gets the next mission. I’ll call uncle Sev and get him and Remy to come here tonight rather then when he was going to turn up, we need to plan.” Draco said.
“If you boys’ think that I’m going to sit in the background and watch as my students fight for my world as well, then you have another thing coming. I will help in any way I can,” Toro said to Harry and Draco, they had become like sons to him over the past year and a half and he wasn’t going to let them fight on their own.
“No offence, but you aren’t a Wizard or a Demon, so how can you help?” Kuwabara asked him.
“I run a small Dojo in downtown Tokyo. About a year and a half ago I got two visitors who were interested in learning everything I knew, they were bad at first but since that day they have far surpassed me in every field and are at the highest level they can reach. And I know about the Wizarding world because I come from a Wizarding family,” Toro explained to the Spirit Detectives.
“But you’re not a Wizard?” Kurama asked.
“No, in the Wizarding world I am what’s called a Squib. Born to magical parents but unable to access my magical core, in most pureblood families, Squib’s are looked down upon and cast from the Wizarding world but my parents loved me no matter what I was and so they treated me just the same as my brothers and sisters.” Toro explained.
“Well, I’m going to Fire call Remus. Sev will be with him so it will save time,” Harry said as he got up and moved towards the fireplace.
Harry grabbed a hand full of the powder and threw it into the fireplace; he then called out the address and stuck his head into the flame leaving the Spirit Detectives staring at his body in shock.
“Sev? Hey Sev!”
“Harry, what is it?” Severus Snape asked as he walked into his sitting room and found his surrogate godsons head in his fireplace.
“We need to talk to you and Remy, can you both come through?” Harry asked him.
“Ok, I’ll just go and get him and then we will come straight through.”
Harry ended the call and pulled his head out of the fireplace to see shocked looks on the Spirit Detectives faces, well all except the one named Hiei.
“Sev is just getting Remy and they’ll be right through,” Harry said as he turned to Draco.
The blond nodded his head and then excused himself to go and change into proper clothing; Harry just opted to stay in his fighting garb. Toro got up off of the couch and stretched before heading into the kitchen to make some tea for their soon to arrive guests. Harry sat back down in his chair and wandlessly summoned a quill, ink and a large supply of parchment and placed them on the table in front of him.
“Can I ask you a question?” Kurama asked Harry as he sat on the couch next to Harry’s chair which was previously occupied by Toro.
“You just did, but you can ask me another if you like,” Harry said as he looked up at Kurama with a smirk on his face.
“Ok. If you and Draco are not human, then why do you both look and smell like humans?” was the question asked.
“Huh? Oh, I guess we forgot to take our Glamour’s off. When we heard the doorbell ring we placed a glamour on ourselves to cover up our true image,” Harry replied.
“Can you take it off so we know what you look like in your true forms? We saw them in the pictures Koenma showed us but it’s not as good as the real thing,” Kurama said.
“Sure, when Draco comes back and Sev and Remy show up we’ll take them off,” Harry told the curious fox.
Ten minutes later the fireplace flared up as Draco re-entered the room, and two men stepped out, one after the other. Severus was carrying a small old style Muggle doctor’s case and Harry just knew that it was full of Potions; the man carried it everywhere with him. Draco went over to his godfather and introduced him and Remus to the Spirit Detectives, Harry just sat on the floor in front of the table writing on one of the pieces of parchment.
“Hey, Cub. What are you writing?” Remus asked Harry as he sat on the ground next to his godson.
“Hey Remy, just writing down names of people who can be trusted.” Harry said as he gave Remus a sideways hug.
“Who have you got so far?” Draco asked as he listened to them.
“Well, I know the Weasley twins can help. They disowned them selves from their family after they found out what had been done to me, and are willing to help as much as they can. Luna and Neville would be able to help out; Seamus and Dean are a possibility as well. Do you know any, Draco?”
“Well I know Blaise Zabini can help,” Draco replied.
“I thought his parents were Death Eaters?” Harry asked.
“They are, but Blaise refused to be marked on his seventeenth birthday. The day before his birthday he packed his bags and left his family manor, he’s in love with a Muggle-born and refused to bow to a mad man.” Draco explained.
“So he did love Finch-Fletchly, I thought that he was just another conquest to Zabini.”
“He wanted to protect Justin, if the other Slytherin’s found out about how he really felt…” Draco left it at that and the other Wizards in the room knew exactly what would have happened to both Blaise and Justin.
“Well, on to less depressing thoughts. What did you need us for Harry?” Remus asked.
“Well, we need yours and Sev’s help with our plans,” Harry said. Both Wizards sat down and listened as Harry laid out their plans.

The nine of them spent a good five hours planning everything out; Toro would occasionally give some advice between making dinner and annoying Severus to no end. They had accomplished a lot in those few short hours and they just needed to send out missives to those that they needed to speak to.
“Well, Hedwig will be happy. She hasn’t had a letter to deliver in a couple of months,” Harry said as he stood from the living room floor and stretched.
“I know what you mean, Artemis will be happy as well. It would be smarter to directly fire call Blaise and Justin; we don’t want the order or Voldemort to follow our owls to them.” Draco spoke up as he copied Harry’s previous movements.
“Well dinner is ready, if you would all like to come into the dining room.” Toro said as he stepped into the sitting room.
Everyone got up from their seats and followed the Martial Arts Master into the dining room and saw a feast spread out on the table. They each sat at their assigned seats and started in on the meal. It was a quiet affair with scattered chatter across the table, no one seemed to care about the outside world at that time.

Meanwhile in London:
“I don’t care, I want them found now.” Albus Dumbledore yelled at one of the Aurors that he had working for the Order.
‘Those brats have been missing for two years and I am still unable to find them.’ The eccentric headmaster said to him self. His plans had been going down hill since they disappeared and he just knew that someone had helped them to leave. He needed his tool to be back under his ruling so that he can get the boy to kill Voldemort and then he could rule the Wizarding world and have it how he wanted it. But the brat had put a kink in his plans the moment he became friends with that Malfoy spawn, he just knew that if they became friends that they would both be able to kill Voldemort and then they would destroy him as well. He needed to plan.

“You’re all welcome to stay here for the night; I have enough spare rooms for everyone.” Harry said to the Spirit Detectives.
“Thank you; if you could just direct us to our rooms then we will call it a night.” Kurama said in his usual calm voice.
Harry nodded his head and then led the four males up the stairs to the rooms that they would be staying in. After he showed them to their rooms, Harry headed back downstairs to say goodbye to Toro who would return the next day. Harry then said goodnight to his godfather and his godfathers’ mate before heading up to his own room, while changing into a pair of boxer shorts Harry remembered back to earlier that night when he and Draco had taken off their glamour’s to reveal their true forms to the Spirit Detectives up close. Kurama had been awed by the fact that it was Harry who was responsible for the state of the front and back garden and had gotten into a long discussion about all the different types of plants that they each knew about.
Yusuke had spent most of the night comparing Toro’s fighting and training techniques with that of his own Sensei, Genkai. Toro had told Yusuke that he had heard a great deal about Genkai and that he would like to meet her one day. Kuwabara had just been his usual stupid self and was ignored most of the night. Hiei on the other hand had sat in a dark corner for most of the night staring at Harry, Harry had known that he was being observed but wasn’t worried about it.
After Harry climbed into his bed, he switched the light off and settled in to a deep sleep waiting for the next day to arrive.

“Uncle Sev, do you think that we will be able to pull this off?” Draco asked his godfather before he too headed up to bed.
“I hope so Draco, I hope so.” Was the reply he was given.
Draco nodded his head and wished the two remaining men goodnight before heading up the stairs to his own room. It had been a long night and Draco was looking forward to seeing his best friend after two years. He and Blaise had been friends since his first day at Hogwarts, and their friendship had grown over the years. Knowing that Blaise and his boyfriend, although Fiancé would be a better word, were alive and well made him glad that he had walked in on them that day two years ago.
He had walked into the room that he shared with the black haired Italian only to find him hugging a crying and distraught Hufflepuff. He knew that the feelings between the pair were deeper then Blaise had let on and Draco had felt betrayed that Blaise hadn’t come to him about their problems. Lately Blaise had become more distant from him, where as before they used to share all of their thoughts, Blaise now shied away from intense conversation with Draco unless it involved school work.
Blaise had been so scared that Draco would turn them over to the Dark Lord that he had actually cried with relief when Draco had revealed to the pair that his parents were spies for the light side and that he could help the pair to hide when the time came for Blaise’s marking. Draco had been glad that Blaise hadn’t wanted to be a Death Eater; it was one less thing he had to worry about when it came to the final battle.
Shaking himself out of his thoughts, Draco changed his clothes and then got into his bed. Sleep came quickly for him as well, as he drifted into a peaceful dreamless sleep.
