Chapter 4
FINALS WEEK!!! AAAHHH!!! Then I only get one week break and its right back to class. But at least next quarter I won’t be getting up at the crack of dawn. And I’m going into sub-status at work so I could make all my classes.
Hiei- I doubt that they care.

Chapter 4
Hiei kept his word and didn’t tell anyone what had happened or what he was about to do. Which hadn’t been very easy sense Kazuma had made plans with Yusuke and Kurama. When Hiei called to tell them Kuwabara wouldn’t be able to make it he tried to pass it off that Kuwabara was sick. Seeing as he had had a small fever a couple days before Hiei didn’t think that Yusuke and Kurama would have a hard time believing it.
Yusuke accepted it just fine, telling Hiei in a teasing tone not to take *too* much care of him.
Kurama was harder to convince.
Apparently Kurama had given Kuwabara some herbs to help his fever and he wanted to know why he hadn’t used them. It took Hiei ten minutes to convince Kurama that he must’ve lost them. So Kurama offered to bring some more for him and to see just what condition Kuwabara was in.
“No!” Hiei cried out at the fox’s offer. “Um… no Kurama…that…that won’t be necessary. It’s not that bad we’ve already got some medicine her. We’ll be fine.”
Kurama’s tone was that of confusion. “Are you sure Hiei? I can just come over for a bit to look at him just in case. He’s had a fever for more than two days, it could be something serious.”
“No Kurama. He’s fine.”
“Well, then at least let me talk to him for a bit.”
Hiei gripped the phone tightly. ‘I want to talk to him too.’ “You cant, he’s…he’s sleeping right now. And trust me, you don’t want to wake him up.”
There was a moment of silence.
“Hiei…is everything all right? Is something wrong with Kuwabara?”
‘Shit! Damn you fox!’
“Yes everything is fine. I’ll have him call you whenever he wakes up, okay?”
*Sigh* “All right Hiei. And I’ll call back tomorrow to see how Kuwabara’s doing.”
“Fine.” Hiei hung up and sat down heavily in a chair. ‘And just what am I going to tell him when he calls tomorrow and asks why Kazuma never called?’
Hiei shook his head. ‘Not important right now. I need to figure out how I’m going to get this dagger and get Kuwa back.’
Hiei had decided that he had no choice but to comply with Toshio’s demands. At least until he could find Kuwa. Then he planned to use that dagger to kill Toshio and Ada. Hiei smirked at the thought. ‘How ironic. I’ll kill them with the very weapon they were so desperate to get. And use them as an example of what happens when someone messes with my mate.’
With new motivation Hiei got up and got to work.
I'm doing my best to keep Hiei in character but i know he'll end up out of character from time to time.
