Chapter 4: Feelings Revealed
In the morning Botan woke up and took a shower, she threw the bedding in the hamper and cleaned her toy. After putting it away she headed to Koenma’s office (poor bastard, always working) and knocked. “Come in.” She entered and was glad he was still in his adult/teenage form. “Koenma, I am sooo sorry about yesterday. I was just being a huge bitch! I came to apologize last night, but you were sleeping.” Koenma looked away. “I really am sorry. Want to have lunch, my treat?” He sucked his pacifier in thought. “I suppose, just a moment.” He told George that he was going to lunch.
They ended up on Earth, at a restaurant where they sat outside. Botan was having a chicken dish and Koenma was having a steak dish. Botan bugged him about eating beef and he was teasing about her getting slivers from her oar. They laughed and joked. “We should do this more.” Koenma ate his dessert and looked at the clock.
“We should be getting back. George will be sending a search party soon.” They finished, paid and left. After getting back, George rushed up. “ I thought something happened!” Koenma shook his head. “Just having lunch, that’s all.” George looked relieved. Botan and Koenma went to the office. “Said he would overact.” Botan laughed. “Koenma I was wondering? Last night when you asked me to dinner, was it as a friend or more?” She flushed, as did Koenma. “Uh…w-well…uhh…” Botan took a step forward and Koenma glanced up. “Umm…I’m mute.” Botan pursed her lips at him. “Koenma.” He pretended not to know how to talk. “Koenma!” He gulped. “I guess as more.” Botan’s eyes filled with tears. “Oh! I’ve been waiting for this!”
She hugged him tight, his eyes bulged and his cheeks turned blue. “Botan I can’t breathe!” She let him go and he gasped for air around the pacifier. When he calmed down he managed to speak again. “Are you saying you like me also Botan?” Botan ripped his pacifier out and kissed him. Koenma gave a surprised squeak. As they separated Koenma looked around and took his pacifier. “Um…so…how about a date tomorrow?” Botan kissed him again. “I guess that’s a yes.” This time he kissed her.
There was a knock and they flew apart. In walked Kurama. “I came to inform you we are back.” Koenma nodded. Kurama noticed they were both flushed, and had each other’s scents on them. His eyes widened. “I’ll leave now, I just wanted to tell you.” Koenma nodded. “Alrighty!” He laughed nervously. Kurama raised an eyebrow. ‘I see how interesting.’ He left and joined the group. Hiei looked up. “So what did gramps have to say?” Kurama scratched his head. “Nothing much.” Yusuke noticed he wasn’t telling them everything. “What’s up?” Kurama leaned in closer to them. “Well, I think Koenma and Botan was fooling around before I came.” They all fell to the ground. Kuwabara’s eyes went huge. “You mean him and her!?” Kurama nodded. Keiko looked unsure. “Are you sure?” Kurama nodded. “They were nervous, flushed, smelling like each other and not to mention anxious when I came in.”
They nodded. Yusuke laughed. “Hey! That means if Koenma’s getting some maybe he won’t be such a hard ass!” Keiko whacked him on the head. “Hey!” Keiko glared. “Stop that! It’s nice they found each other, they deserve to have someone, besides Botan already told Yukina she had a crush on Koenma.” Kuwabara popped up. “What? Yukina you never told me.” Yukina nodded. “I know, but I made a promise to tell any of you except Keiko.” They grumbled about it not being fair and went to their rooms.
