Scene 35 ----------- One Hour Later
* Dagon sidles up to Hiei who is staring blankly at the still-performing Weasel trio.
Dagon(Quietly)- If you don’t stop this bunch, they’ll never quit, sir.
* Hiei half glances up at the Crow.
Hiei- And you didn’t tell me this before because..?
Dagon- I thought you were enjoying the show.
Hiei- Baka!
* He looks back toward the Weasels.
Hiei- Alright! Enough!
* Having returned to juggling the smaller Weasel, the larger pair turns to face Hiei forgetting the smaller one who was in mid-air. The poor demon crashes to the ground on his head.
Hiei- Now that.. was the most entertaining part.
* Crosetu and his brother bow. The smaller one scrambles over to join them.
Hiei- Your offering is accepted.. If I ever need to have anyone.. entertained to tears I’ll call you.. Dismissed.
Crosetu- We are at your service, Master.
* Hiei looks back up at Dagon when the trio scurries away.
Dagon- Did you scan them, sir?
Hiei- What the h--- for? They’re Weasels.
Habataro- They’re a shifty lot.
Hiei- They’re insignificant pions.. I should’ve only agreed to just meet the main alphas.
Dagon- Well, you’re almost through now.
Hiei- Fine. Let’s get this over with. Show in the next pack.
* Dagon looks at his list, rips away the Weasel clan’s name, then reads the next one.
Dagon- Uhmm.. Uhhh..
Hiei- Who is it?
Dagon- Asmaroth’s delegation.
* Hiei recognizes the name and looks toward the numerous Rat demons that make their way toward him. He notices that one amongst them is bound and covered in a ratty old sack. The leader gives the captive a shove and it cries out when it lands face down in front of the small boulder.
Asmaru- My name is Asmaru.. You killed my Father, making me the head of my clan.
Hiei- If you came seeking revenge, Rodent,..
Asmaru- H--- no.. In killing my old man you only saved me the trouble.
Hiei- That statement doesn’t help your acceptance, boy.
Asmaru- We only ask that you leave us alone.. We do, however, have something to offer you.
* Asmaru’s squinty eyes shift toward the Lynx brothers a moment. Then he bends and grasps the sack.
Asmaru- We only have one thing that’s no longer useful to us.
* When the Rat yanks the sack off of a beaten, naked, barely conscious female Habataro and Coutaro quickly grab Kumataro to restrain him. Hiei recognizes Darieth and scowls at the clan.
Asmaru- She’s very.. experienced now.. I’m sure she’ll be a good b---- to add to your.. collection.
* Hiei stands down off of the boulder. Asmaru stumbles away from the anger radiating off the new Ultimate Alpha a moment. Then bolsters his resolve and continues foolishly.
Asmaru- That wench is the only token we can give to show our.. compliance.. We have no more need of her..
Hiei- Tell me, Rat.. Is this your whole pack?
Asmaru- It’s what’s left of it.. We planned on using that b---- to restore our numbers.. But when we learned that she wasn’t pure when she came to us.. It turned our stomachs.
Hiei- You’re truly your Father’s son.
* Hiei glances down at Darieth when she sobs listlessly.
Hiei- Dagon, return her to her Father.
* When Dagon quickly complies Hiei turns back toward the pack of Rat demons.
Hiei- Will you submit to being scanned by my jagan?
* Nervously, the Rats all agree. Two seconds later they’re too disoriented to realize their mistake.
Hiei- Kumataro. Dispatch them quickly then go see to your daughter.
* Hiei gets back up onto the boulder. Habataro and Coutaro release their anguished brother. They hold Darieth until Kuma has finished the carnage. He returns, gathers up Darieth and bounds off through the barrier. Hab and Cou look at each other sadly.
Hiei- I’ll see the last two packs together and be done with this, Dagon!
* Dagon nods and takes off to fetch the last two delegates. Hiei looks toward the Lynx brothers.
Hiei- She’ll live.. but she’ll never..
Habataro- Hai.. But at least you gave Kuma some vengeance.
Coutaro- Could you use your eye to help her?
Hiei- I’ll determine what I can do when this last meeting is done.
* Habataro looks away.
Habataro- But she’ll always carry those scars.
Hiei- There’s nothing I can do about the outside.. Remember that it was her own foolish decision that got her in that mess.
Coutaro- Hai. But at least we have her back home.
* Hiei looks toward the last pair of demons that Dagon escorts into the clearing. They hesitate when they see the mess and look at each other.
Hiei- What happened doesn’t concern you.. Approach me with your offerings.
* The two humanoid demons look at each other than fall to their faces before Hiei grovelling.
Demon 1- We’re so poor, my clan, I have nothing to offer you but our services.. My name is Hoohoma.
Demon 2- And I’m Mitoobu. I’m the last of my pack.. Only myself and my mate are left.
Hiei- Why were you so reluctant to agree to this meeting?
Hoohoma- Fear, Master. Pure, unadulterated fear.
* Mitoobu nods his eager agreement. Hiei allows the jagan to scan them briefly.
Hiei- Get out of here before I deem you too worthless to spare!
* The two demons glance at each other then lift their heads to look up at him.
Mitoobu- That’s it?
Hoohoma- You’re not going to enslave us?
Hiei- Do I look like a big, fat, ugly lizard?!
Mitoobu- B-b-but we.. have nothing t-to offer you..
Hiei- Well, I have something to offer you.. Why don’t the two of you merge?
* The two demons blink up at him.
Hiei- Hoohoo, you’ll accept Mitbu and his mate into your clan.
Hoohoma- Umm.. My name is..
Hiei- Your names are whatever the h--- I want to call you! Now, do you agree or do I have to get angry again?!
* The two demons quickly shake their heads.
Hoohoma- No, Master!
Mitoobu- Your plan is nothing but pure genius!
Hiei- Get out of here before I change my mind!
* The two demons skitter backwards gushing their praises of his ‘divine wisdom’ then turn and quickly disappear. Hiei mutters his disdain at their actions as he puts his bandana back over the jagan. Habataro, Coutaro, and Dagon all follow him back through the barrier.
