Scene 32 ------------------------------------------- Demon World
* As soon as Ryuji and Pehjo step out of the portal the fire demon moves away, closes his eyes, and concentrates on using his jagan. Pehjo tilts his head to watch Ryuji curiously, until he can withhold his curiousity no longer.
Pehjo- Umm.. What are you doing?
Ryuji- I'm searching for my brother.
* Pehjo looks around the barren area that they're standing in.
Pehjo- Well, I can tell you that's he's not here.. You're sure not gonna find him with your eyes closed anyway, man.
* Ryuji looks down at the skink demon obviously annoyed.
Ryuji- We're in Demon World.. Do you not have a home to scurry off to?
Pehjo- Uh.. Well, actually.. No.. I mean, I know where I'm from.. technically.. But I have no idea how to..
Ryuji- Alright! I get what you're mumbling about.. Anyway, you're free to go now.. Find yourself a new home if you have to.. Just stay out of trouble from now on,.. man.
* Ryuji waggles a hand at Pehjo when he hesitates to leave.
Ryuji- Go on. Scurry along now.. Or slither or whatever the h--- it is that you lizard types do.
* Pehjo's ears droop, then he looks around again slowly. He was so very young when Kichiro had claimed his brother, Dasan, and himself. From that day on, he'd never been allowed the option of living for himself. Except for the very brief period after Kichiro's village was destroyed. When Ryuji's jagan picks up on the skink's thoughts the fire demon's mind goes back to when he'd first ran into Hiei. After he finally gets a feeling on what direction to go Ryuji looks down at Pehjo again.
Ryuji- You wish to stay with me for a while..?
* Pehjo looks up at Ryuji hopefully, giving him his best puppy-dog eyes.
Pehjo- If I may, please..
Ryuji- You know that I'm very fast.
Pehjo- You know speed's not one of my talents.
* Ryuji looks back in the direction he needs to go a moment.
Ryuji- Alright, I'll carry you.. But when I catch up to that lame-brained half brother of mine I'll tell you to get off.. Then you stay out of sight.. I'll need to talk to him alone.. You got that?!
Pehjo- (Nodding Quickly) Yes, sir.
* Pehjo hurries around and climbs up onto Ryuji's back. The fire demon looks away rolling his eyes.
Ryuji- Hang on tight.. Just don't strangle me or I'll dump you on your a--!
Pehjo- Yes, sir.. I rode my older brother's back a lot..
Ryuji- Hn.. But not at my speed.
* Without further warning Ryuji blinks away. Pehjo's startled cry trails along behind them as Ryuji disappears into the distance.
