Scene 31
Scene 31 ----------------- Mukuro’s Fortress
* Just outside of the currently-stationary fortress two demons meet behind a small stand of young okunenjus. The more humanoid one nods to his furry Ferret demon companion.
Kirin- ‘Bout time you get here, Sugetshi.
Sugetshi- There were a lot of groups ahead of ours, sir.
Kirin- So what can you tell me about the rumors?
* The Ferret demon morphs into his more normal form of some type of amphibian related species. He takes the uniform that his superior officer hands him.
Sugetshi- Thank you, sir.
Kirin- Just give me your report.
Sugetshi- You won’t believe who’s causing the uproar in the Barren Lands, General.
* Mukuro’s current second-in-command crosses his arms listening as the amphibious demon dresses quickly.
Sugetshi- It’s Hiei, sir.
* Kirin’s eyes widen.
Kirin- Lord Hiei? – The Jaganshi?!
* Sugetshi nods.
Sugetshi- He’s managed to become the Ultimate Alpha.. The whole region is rallying to him.
Kirin- D---.. So that’s what that little b------‘s been up to.
Sugetshi- Sir, I’m not done.
* Kirin looks at the spy again.
Sugetshi- He claims that he has no hostility toward neither our Lord nor Lord Urameshi.. He claims that he just wants to.. keep to himself.
* Now Kirin calms down and rubs his chin.
Kirin- He’s never given Mukuro any reason to mistrust him.. It’s partly why she keeps his d--- name on her.. But still, she must be informed of this. You did well, Sugetshi. You’ll be rewarded.. Now come with me so you can give her your report, also.
* Kirin turns and leads the younger demon back toward the wide side door ramp of the fortress. As soon as it senses them coming the large door lowers to form the ramp. The two demons disappear up into the darkness within.
