Scene 30 ------------------------------------------- Spirit World
* After leaving Shishi's empty room, Hiei found a quiet place to gather himself up amongst the higher rafters of the palace. His first thoughts turn to his boys and the promise he had made to Chiisai. The koorime lowers his eyes and sighs.
(#) Hiei- I'm sorry, Chi.. I can't keep my promise..
* Hiei lifts his widened eyes when he hears Chiisai's voice reply quickly.
(#) Chiisai- What's wrong, Papa?
(#) Hiei- Chi,.. you heard me..?
(#) Chiisai- You called my name.
* Hiei smiles softly.
(#) Hiei- You truly are an amazing boy.. Something has.. happened, Chi.. I have to go back downstairs for.. a while..
(#) Chiisai- I can sense that you're sad, Papa..
* Hiei swallows and closes his eyes again.
(#) Hiei- Your Uncle Koe will explain everything to you.. I have to go..
(#) Chiisai- It's okay.. It must be important if you're breaking your promise to me.. I love you, Papa.. I'll miss you.
* Hiei then uses his jagan to put up a barrier against the boy's connection. His next thoughts turn to Shishi. It would be dishonorable to leave without at least seeing his departed mate one last time. Hiei takes a deep breath, then uses his demonic speed to zip through the halls of the palace. He blinks past ogres who are all busily going about their minial tasks. Since they're used to this now they pay Hiei no mind, especially since word hasn't spread through the entire staff just yet. Hiei soon reaches the holding area of the West Wing. As he'd hoped, the large room is unguarded. Hiei uses his jagan to guide him to the right holding unit. He smirks briefly at the lower windows in this particular unit as he approaches. Hiei swallows, braces himself, then looks in through one of the windows. It surprises him some when the misty figure inside turns to look back at him. Though the form is opaquely shadowed, Hiei can easily make out his mate's features. He gently raises a hand and touches the window. Shishi's spirit smiles softly and nods. Hiei remains there watching Shishi sadly until he feels Yusuke and Kurama's auras materialize. Quickly Hiei moves away from the unit, hits the button on the new PRB he'd acquired from a transport room who's guarding ogre was sleeping on duty. A moment before the ogre in charge of this unit room enters to check his records Hiei disappears into the portal that closes behind him silently.
