Alternate

I repositioned the chair and placed my hand in his.
It was a strange feeling, but a good one. Feeling his warmth against me…
"I probably shouldn't have gotten out of bed…" I was dizzy and I knew that it wasn't because of Kurama.
"Mr. Hiei, please get back into your bed." The nurse said as she entered.
"No. I have to stay with him. He was wounded badly and I can't leave him."
"Mr. Hiei, will you kindly get back to your bed." She seemed adamant about that.
"No I will not. I can't leave him."
"Mr. Hiei, I will only tell you one more time, get back into your bed…NOW!"
"I SAID N-" and everything went black.

It was dark out when I woke up again. This time Kurama was sitting next to me. My head was killing me. Damn nurse had hit me with that clipboard harder than I thought she could…
"What happened?" I asked in a whisper causing Kurama to move closer. Even among the hospital smells he smelled sweeter than his lips tasted.
"You were apparently not listening to the nurse when she told you to get back into your bed. You apparently passed out."
Oh yeah, that's what it was…sure…
"Why were you out of bed to begin with?"
"I couldn't leave you…"
He leaned over and kissed me on the forehead. "Thank you."
"Anyway how are you feeling?"
"I'm okay…little dizzy, tired and my head hurts a little but otherwise I'm okay." he said and smiled at me.
"You should get back to bed yourself. You were hurt worse than I was."
"Your right." he stood up carefully and slid me over on the bed, laying down next to me.
"Kurama, I meant to your own bed."
"But this is comfier…" He placed his arm over my stomach and cuddled close to me. "Besides, didn't you say that I was wounded badly and that you needed to stay with me?" he whispered his lips brushing my ear.
My eyes widened and I blushed lightly. "You were awake?"
"No I wasn't. The nurse told me what 'my boyfriend' had done once I'd woken up."
My face blushed deeper at the thought of being called Kurama's boyfriend.
"Hiei, would you wanna be considered my boyfriend?" he said almost reading my mind. "I know you said you loved me, but does that mean you would call yourself that?"
Before I even thought about it I said, "Kurama of course I would! There's nothing in the world that I'd like more!"
Kurama smiled and he kissed me. Not like the first time which was sweet, but like he was thanking me. Like it'd made his dreams come true.
He pulled away and said to me, "Good, because there's nothing I'd like in the world more either."
I smiled back at him and we fell asleep, healing our wounds, in each other's arms.
