Three
Three - Shouldn't Have Ate That
Yusuke mentally shrugs off his paranoia and looks back down at the paper he's reading. Perhaps too much work lately has done crazy things to his head. 'Hokushin' smiles and bows in his usual quiet way, then moves back. Yusuke finishes the paper and lays it aside as he turns to the desk fully to begin eating. It only takes a few bites for him to realize he should've listened to his senses. As the acidic burn of the concealed poison continues to do its work Yusuke looks up toward the bald demon, but now there's more than one of him as his vision already begins to blur.
Yusuke staggers to his feet, but demonic poisons are nothing if not fast-acting. When he tries to speak, to question, to call for help only a frothy pale red mixture of blood and poison comes out. The last thing he sees, as he collapses to the floor, is the demon imposter taking his true, ugly form and crouching down to sneer as Yusuke's life force fades away painfully. He can barely make out the last words he hears on this plane. "Say good-bye to the new ruler of Demon World,.. Sire".
