Hiei's Harem - Pt. 12 - Dominating

Wow, over a hundred hits, already! Now if everyone that's reading would let me know what they think of my story.. lol. But I'll keep to my policy of not badgering for reviews. If you like it enough to leave one I'll appreciate reading it. That's all. Now, on we go.

Scene 3 --------------- A Couple Hours Later


* When Hiei steps out of Habataro’s hut the three females glance up at him then resume their work as he leaves. On his way he decides to divert from his normal path and heads toward the river. In a few blinks he comes to a soft landing just in front of the large hut. The Koorime sighs when he can already hear a pair of his new females fussing inside. With a slight shake of his head he enters through the thick, velvety curtain that serves as the door. Inside he stops and crosses his arms. He finds Tachimaru and Loreen in the common room hissing and snarling as they lean on the coffeetable. Hiei spots the reason for the fuss and rolls his eyes.


Hiei- D---, you two.. I can hear you spitting at each other half way to the village.


* The two pregnant feline demonesses look up and watch Hiei mmove to pick up the large riceball between them. He easily breaks it into two pieces and hands one half to each of them.


Hiei- Problem solved.


The females both mew and sit back to nibble their treats. Hiei sighs again. It wasn’t too long ago that he’d learned about this trait with pregnant demons of most feline species. The fact that they turn more feral as their pregnancies progress was explained to him by Habataro’s Alpha Mate, Roqueyo. Hiei looks at the Leopardess and she snarls at him. He’d also learned to keep his distance from her for the time being.


Hiei- Don’t mention it.


* He turns his attention to the Tigress.


Hiei- Where’s the others?


* Tachimaru shifts her tiger eyes up at him, but takes a few moments to answer as if she’s trying to remember how to speak.


Tachimaru- Garni.. her bedroom.. Chevie.. kitchen.


* Tachi yowls amusedly.


Tachimaru- Eating.. again.

Loreen- B---- is.. big as a.. horse.


* Hiei looks between them when they both crack up laughing, considers voicing his opinion of their own sizes, then decides against it.


Hiei- Eat your rice, ladies.

Loreen- F--- you,.. sir.


* Hiei ignores her snarl and heads into the kitchen. He finds Chevaux rummaging in the refrigerator. She senses Hiei as he comes over closer and straightens up with a stalk of celery hanging out of her mouth. She bites a piece off and swallows it.


Chevaux- Master Hiei.

Hiei- Hn. Thought I’d check in on you girls.


* The Horse demoness snorts, shuts the refrigerator, and starts to move away. Hiei watches her sit at the table to continue chomping on the celery stalk.


Hiei- Are you feeling well, Mare?


* Hiei goes over and places his hand on her forehead. Chevaux shakes her head to make him withdraw the hand.


Chevaux- What does it matter? You only show up here because of these brats we’re carrying.

Hiei- You’ve been listening to the Leopardess again.


* Chevaux sighs sullenly, then glances up at Hiei timidly.


Chevaux- I’m sorry.. Sometimes her words just.. make sense to me.

Hiei- Well if she ever says enough to give me a clue as to why she hates me so much, do let me know.

Chevaux- I think it’s just the pregnancy.. You’re not the only male she spits at.. We have to hold her down when Habataro comes in to check on us.. It’s probably a cat thing.

Hiei- Hn.. Do you need some of my energy, Mare? You seem a bit depressed.

Chevaux- No.. Garnetia needs your attention more than me, though.

Hiei- Hn. I’m going in to check on her.. Wish to accompany me?


* Chevaux nods and follows Hiei back into the common room. Loreen is now curled up on the coffeetable sleeping soundly. Tachimaru is stretched out on the couch. Hiei blinks over to the coffeetable. Chevaux hears Loreen purr as Hiei lays a hand on her belly. When she’s asleep is the only time he’s able to get close enough to truly check her. She purrs loudly and Hiei leaves when she squirms some. He goes through another curtain and down the wide hallway some to enter the Jackal hybrid’s bedroom. He feels the atmosphere change. Chevaux stays near the doorway as Hiei goes over to the nest-like futon. The young demoness has been bedfast for the past week. When she first collapsed the village healer had been called for. The examination yielded only one explanation that the old healer could think of. Garnetia’s baby, sired in Matsua’s facility by using AI, has a rather high amount of energy. This result didn’t surprise Hiei much. The baby is, after all, Yusuke’s. As soon as he sits down beside her Garnetia opens her eyes.


Hiei- Hello, Pup.


* The Jackal hybrid smiles weakly.


Garnetia- Master, it’s.. good.. to see you.

Hiei- Shh.. Save your strength, Little One.


* Hiei leans to kiss her forehead.


Hiei- I’m just stopping in to check on you.


* Hiei then moves the blanket aside to check the ward that had been placed around her belly to shield the baby’s energy.


Garnetia- He.. wears me out.. so much.

Hiei- I know.. But you’ll be delivering soon.


* Garnetia reaches up and grasps Hiei’s arm. He puts the blanket back in place and looks at her again.


Hiei- Calm down, Garni.

Garnetia- If.. If I don’t..

Hiei- We’re not going to even entertain that..

Garnetia- Listen to me..!


* She tenses in pain a couple moments, then swallows and closes her eyes.


Hiei- Alright, I’ll listen.. Just calm down now.


* Chevaux drops her eyes and slips away. Hiei half glances toward the curtain but concentrates on Garnetia for now.


Garnetia- If I don’t.. make it.. You will have to.. raise him..

Hiei- Hn. I know this.. You know I wouldn’t abandon him.

Garnetia- You will know.. how to raise him..?

Hiei- Of course.


* Garnetia coughs but struggles to stay awake.


Garnetia- You’ll have to.. claim him..

Hiei- But you’re going to live, Pup..

Garnetia- You’re not.. listening to me.. Even if I do survive the birthing.. you’ll have to.. cl-claim him.

Hiei- If you live there won’t be any reason to enslave..

Garnetia- If you don’t.. claim him.. he’ll leave us to.. seek out his sire..

Hiei- And why should I stop him from doing that? I’ve told you, his sire is a friend of mine..

Garnetia- His sire.. is another territory’s Lord..

Hiei- Your body is weak.. You’re allowing your paranoid nature to run rampant, Girl.. I have no fear of Yusuke Urameshi.. nor the Youko sire of the other babies.


* Garnetia closes her eyes and gives up her struggle to stay awake. Hiei sighs, brushes her bushy bangs out of her eyes, then stands and leaves. He goes back to the kitchen. Chevaux is sitting at the table, holding her head in her hands. Hiei studies her a moment. He finds her depression to be similar to what he dealt with in D’Tara during the early stages of the Hyena hybrid’s pregnancy. Hiei moves to the sink, fills a glass with water, and moves back to the table. Chevie looks up a little surprised at the gesture that indicates his willingness to provide for her among her own kind.


Hiei- I don’t care for you any less than I do any of my other mates, Mare.


* She lowers her eyes blushing.


Hiei- Come on now. You know why I can’t.. do things that I.. desire to do with you right now.. The health of you and your babies are important to me.


* He reaches out and draws her closer to give her a kiss. Chevaux nods when he releases her. She felt him give her a small burst of his energy.


Hiei- You’re going to have twins, Chevie.. You told me, yourself, how dangerous that is for you..(1)

Chevaux- I understand.. But I don’t feel that I’ll be in as much danger as Garni.

Hiei- I hope not. But even so, I’m not going to take any chances.. I’m not planning on losing Garni.. Or you, either.

Chevaux- I’ll do my best to stave off my blues, Master.

Hiei- Hn.. I know I haven’t been around as much as I should, either.

Chevaux- Planning what you’re planning is very important. Besides that, you have others up there that are pregnant, too. Tachi and Loreen aren’t exactly sociable right now.

Hiei- Do they hurt you?

Chevaux- No.. Not yet they haven’t.

Hiei- Okay, well, you be careful.. I’m going to go now. But if Garnetia’s condition worsens you know to send for me. I’ll be here in a blink.

Chevaux- Of course.


* Hiei nods and kisses her once more then leaves.

(1) If any of you know anything about horses in real life, like I do, you’ll know that while twins do occur occasionally, it’s not very good for the mare to carry twins. I won’t elaborate on the whole physicality issue of it, though. That’s what Google is for, lol. I’m just using this fact to add a bit of realistic spice or suspense to my story.
