Hiei's Harem - Pt. 9 - Heating Up

Scene 3 -------------- Later That Morning


* Hiei is under the lookout overhang studying the diagram of Matsua's facility that Shironji has drawn for him.


Hiei- You have this committed to your memory.

Shironji- Of course, M'Lord.

Hiei- Hn.. Did you find out who set the flash bomb?

Shironji- That's what took me so long.. But I did find out.


* Hiei nods.


Shironji- This guy has a couple demons that are very skilled in such sorcery as wards and spells.

Hiei- So it was one of them?

Shironji- Both actually.. They combine their powers. This is why their magic is so strong.

Hiei- Are they as skilled at sorcery as you are at stealth?


* Shironji smirks at Hiei.


Shironji- Not hardly. I observed them for several days and they never detected me.


* They both look up when Sarista wanders over. Hiei looks back at his minion.


Hiei- Okay, listen to me, Shi. I'm not leaving this ravine or the village until my female Klarice gives birth.

Shironji- Understandable. I know you will have many strong children.


* Hiei just grunts.


Hiei- Here is what I want you to do. I want you to return to that facility and take out those sorcerors.. That will at least free Kurama from the flashbomb's blinding spell.. I'll deal with this Matsua character when I'm ready.


* Shironji bows his head and poofs away. Hiei swipes the diagram away then looks back up at Sarista. He can feel her pensive mood.


Hiei- Sarista.

Sarista- Will you join us for the morning meal now?


* Hiei stands. When he reaches for her she steps back then turns to leave.


Hiei- 'Rista.


* When she stops Hiei moves to embrace her gently. Her sullen mood doesn't sit well with him.


Hiei- You were tired earlier.


* Sarista lowers her eyes.


Sarista(Quietly)- The way I made Klarice feel.. is unforgivable.

Hiei- Is she angry with you?

Sarista- Of course not.. There's very little that truly angers her.

Hiei- Then forget it.


* Hiei nuzzles her closest pointy ear then nibbles at the tip. She tilts her head into the gesture a moment before working away.


Sarista- She's been more.. nervous around me than anything else.

Hiei- I'll talk to her.


* Hiei moves past her and leads the way over to the low wooden table. Klarice and Trinka are setting the bowls of food out. When Hiei goes over to her the Ice hybrid starts to move away from him, glancing toward Sarista.


Hiei- Don't move away from me, Klarice.. Face me.


* Klarice hesitates, then turns.


Hiei- I'll tell you what I've already told 'Rista.. Both of you were tired last night.. I won't have you being stressed at this stage, nor will I tolerate Sarista's guilt.. It irritates me.


* Klarice glances toward Sarista.


Klarice- She did have a point.. She's the Alpha Female. Her child should be born first.

Hiei- Will you forget that s---?! You can't help it if you only carry for three months.. It didn't seem much of an issue when both of you brought me here and seduced me.


* Klarice blushes a moment, then shrugs.


Klarice- I guess we weren't using our heads at that time.. You will still name her son as your heir.


* Hiei rolls his eyes and sits down.


Hiei- All of them will be.. my heirs.. Whether they're..


* Hiei catches himself and quickly changes the words.


Hiei- Males or females.


* When he notices that all activity around the table has stopped he sets his face sternly and looks around.


Hiei- Any objections?


* They all shift their gazes toward Sarista. She crosses her arms.


Sarista- What? You shouldn't be surprised by anything he does by now.

Hiei- Hn.. Now, let's all eat before Gamaru starts gnawing his own arm.


* Gamaru raises one of his arms to look at it. Silis elbows him and hands him his large bowl of rice. Sarista sits down beside Hiei.


Sarista- So.. Who are you going after this time?


* Hiei half glances at her as he eats.


Hiei- A creep named Matsua.


* Sarista's brief pause in her own eating isn't lost on Hiei.


Hiei- Don't tell me Gamock did business with him.


* When Sarista just nods quietly Hiei looks at her.


Hiei- Is he who Gamock.. sold to?

Sarista- Hai.

Hiei- All the more reason to get rid of him.


* Celestia looks at him.


Celestia- He might still have.. some of them..

Hiei- If he does they'll be brought back here.. I won't have trash like him in my Territory.


* Everyone at the table glances at him briefly, but Hiei doesn't seem to notice. When he is finished eating he stands.


Hiei- I'm going to go check on Habataro and his mate.


* He looks down at Klarice. He feels his instincts pulling him to take her back into the cave and make sure that her mood changes. Luckily, his common sense manages to curb them.


Hiei- Will you be okay now?

Klarice- I'm just tired.. I think I'll go back to bed.

Hiei- Hn. Get plenty of rest.


* He watches her stand and make her way back toward the cave until he manages to wrench his eyes away. He looks over the others, then suppresses a quiet growl as he turns away.


Hiei- See that she's not disturbed!


* With that he blurs away. Sarista stares off in the direction he disappeared until Lily's thoughts break her concentration.

* Sarista looks back toward the vixen, but gives no response.
