Scene 3 --------------- Inside The Hut
* Hiei locks the door and turns to glare up at the Hyena hybrid. Minoro stands akimbo with his arms crossed over his chest.
Minoro- Didn't fool ya, huh?
* Hiei yanks his ward up to indicate his opened jagan.
Hiei- Lesson two, boy.. This is called a jagan.. Do you have any clue what it is capable of?
* The younger demon relaxes his posture as curiousity overtakes him.
Minoro- No, not really.
* When he leans to examine Hiei's third eye more closely the Koorime quickly closes it and pulls the bandana back down.
Hiei- Is everyone of your species this stupid? Or is it just a family trait?
* Hiei moves across the wide room to examine the modern-type bed.
Minoro- My.. species?
Hiei- Drop the act, boy.. I scanned your mind. I know who you are, where you came from, and anything else I cared to learn about you.
* Hiei glances back at the taller demon as he removes his cloak. He's thankful now that he was able to gather up a fresh shirt and pair of pants during his brief stay at Alaric.
Hiei- You were taken from your Mother too young for a proper name to be pronounced on you..
Minoro- My Mother was nothing but a breeding whore.
Hiei- Or so you were told.
* Hiei moves to the more-comfortable looking armchair and looks up at the boy as he sits down.
Hiei- Your last owner just called you slut.. But then he only had you for a couple hours before he'd had his fill of you.. Then met an untimely end.
* The young slave steps back a bit, suddenly nervous.
Hiei- You use that attitude of yours like a shield.. Sometimes it worked and you were brought back here.. Sometimes it didn't and you were the one left here for dead.. Well, it won't work with me. I can match you nasty for nasty, kid.
* When Minoro finally begins to cower and starts to sink into a more submissive posture Hiei rolls his eyes.
Hiei- Stop that. Look up here at me.
* Minoro cautiously obeys.
Hiei- Now, as I said. As long as you respect my authority I'm not going to hurt you.
Minoro- Y-you.. bought me.. I have n-no choice..
Hiei- You have lots of choices.. You can choose to continue cowering or you can gather yourself and listen to me.. Either way, I'm going to tell you why I bought you.
* The hybrid drops his eyes again.
Minoro- I know why you..
Hiei- You don't know s---.. Look at me, d--- it!
* Hiei smirks when Minoro looks up to meet his gaze with an annoyed glare.
Minoro- I've been doing this stuff my whole life! You'll take your pleasure from me then you'll..
Hiei- Will you shut up? Did I not tell that Weasel that you wouldn't be back here again?
* After a couple moments Minoro's eyes open wide in clear fear.
Minoro- You're going to kill me?!
* Just then a knock sounds on the door and makes the frightened demon leap clean across the room into a corner. Hiei rolls his eyes as he moves to open the door. Another scantilly-clad male slave pushes a large food cart in, bows to Hiei, then leaves quickly. Hiei relocks the door. He glances toward the huddled Hyena hybrid as he moves to sniff the cart. As much time as he's spent in Mukuro's service it's made his nose quite keenly aware of the scents of a number of known Demon World poisons. After some thorough, but discreet, sniffing he can't detect any such odors.
Hiei- How long has it been since you've had a good meal, boy?
* Minoro shakes his head, too frightened to answer verbally.
Hiei- Then come eat.. I'm not going to hurt you, I said.
Minoro- B-but I'm.. ugly.. You won't want me once you..
Hiei- Are you going to argue with me all f---ing night?
* The boy lowers his eyes again.
Minoro- (Quietly) I-I belong to you.. I have to do whatever you.. want.
Hiei- At least you know something. We can build on that.. Now, get over here and eat. It's not poisoned.
* Hiei watches Minoro stand and move cautiously around him to approach the cart from the opposite side.
Minoro- Hanobi doesn't.. use poison..
Hiei- Then what does he use?
* Minoro refuses to say anything more as he takes a plate from the apparition. Hiei doesn't press him any further.
Hiei- Eat as much as you can then get to bed.. You need your rest because it's going to be a long journey to our destination.
* Hiei places a few things on his own plate. Minoro watches him move back to the chair. Hiei ignores the younger demon's confusion. When the cart is nearly empty Minoro moves toward the bed. He keeps darting nervous glances toward Hiei as he reaches down to remove what little clothing he's wearing, which is basically just a loincloth.
Hiei- Keep it on. We'll be leaving first thing in the morning. I don't wish to linger in this dump any longer than necessary.
* Now Minoro looks fully at Hiei in near disbelief.
Minoro- You're not going to.. join me?
Hiei- Join you? H---, you're lucky that bed will fit you on it.. Just go to sleep. I'll explain more to you as we travel tomorrow.
Minoro- You can't use that eye thingy to..?
Hiei- At your strength, if I use it for as long as that would take what's left of your brain would melt and ooze out of your ears.
* Hiei smirks when the boy shows a clear scowl of distaste at that imagry.
Hiei- Do what I told you.. Sleep.
* Minoro raises a hand to scratch his shaggy head a moment. This short demon is certainly the oddest owner he's ever had. When Minoro climbs into the squeaky bed Hiei settles himself deeper into the chair. The Koorime closes his true eyes and re-opens his jagan to be alert for any signs of danger while he slips into a light sleep, himself.
