Scene 3
Scene 3 -------------------------------- Early The Next Morning
* The sun has just finished reaching over the distant horizon bathing the World in it's light. Hiei watches from the spot where he remained all night as the rest of their group begins to wake up. Then sounds from above get all their attentions. When Hiei sees that it is just a couple of low-level flying bird demons of some sort fighting he relaxes. But the next thing he knows he feels a small body crawl over to cower into his lap. Hiei looks down at his son and finds the boy staring at the fighting demons. At first, Hiei takes the action to be that of curiosity, but then one of the bird demons knocks the other a bit lower than the boy deems comfortable. With a squawk the boy raises his pointed right finger and releases a blast that knocks Hiei back onto his hands. Everyone, including Yusuke, freezes at the action. Hiei's eyes stare widely at the power he felt radiating from the small body in his lap. Yusuke, Kurama, and the others watch the blast decimate the first demon bird and blow one of the wings off the second. The boy's eyes follow the wounded demon as it plunges to the ground. When it hits he blurs away before Hiei can grab him. Now it is Kurama's turn to be amazed when the boy slams a hand to the ground and several bamboo stalks shoot up through the wounded demon's body. Hiei swallows and looks up toward Yusuke and Kurama.
Yusuke- Well, looks like he caught breakfast this morning.
Kurama- Indeed.. but you better retrieve him before he begins to eat it for himself.
* Hiei scowls a moment, then stands and goes over to gather the boy up.
Boy- Food, Father Hiei.
Hiei- Hn.. Why don't you let somebody else take it from here now.
* Clint hurries over. He licks his chops and grins down at Hiei.
Clint- Great job, Kid! Roast bird demon for breakfast!
* Hiei rolls his eyes and calmly goes back to his original place and sits once more. The boy looks up at him when he notices the way Yusuke, Kurama, and now Kuwabara are studying him.
Boy- I do good, Father?
Hiei- Hn.. Well enough.
Kuwabara- Shouldn't we like.. ward him now or something?
* Yusuke lifts a hand to rub his chin. As a fellow Spirit Gun wielder he had felt the power that radiated from the boy, also. Kurama looks at Kuwabara.
Kurama- Perhaps.. At least until he learns how to control his powers a bit more.
Hiei- I say he showed excellent control, Fox.
* Kurama and Yusuke sit down across from Hiei.
Kurama- You do realize that what he did was merely an instinctual reaction to what he perceived as a threat, Hiei.
Hiei- Hn.. Boy, look up there at that human..
* The boy looks up toward Kuwabara sniffing.
Hiei- Thr-..
Yusuke/Kurama- Hiei!
* Kuwabara eeps and leaps back a couple feet.
Kuwabara- Hey, that's not funny!!
* Everyone's eyes return back to the child when he erupts in laughter. The boy points toward Kuwabara.
Boy- Human make me laugh, Fathers.. Mu-ka-kai said that is a good sound.
* Kurama smiles softly and reaches over to pull the boy into his own lap.
Kurama- Yes, son.. Yes it is.
* Yusuke reaches over to ruffle the boy's hair as the white patch turns red. As soon as Yusuke touches him his mazoku markings appear on the boy's face and exposed arms.
Yusuke- You know, he really is going to need a name. We can't just keep calling him Boy or Son..
* Kurama and Yusuke look at Hiei.
Kurama- According to flesh he really is more your son, than ours.
Hiei- Hn.. I have no clue what to name him..
Kurama- It would have to be something as unique as he, himself, is.
Yusuke- Yeah. So that leaves out Tom, Dick, or Harry.
* Kuwabara comes closer once more getting their attention again. He raises his hand to point at each of them in turn, almost as if he's in a trance.
Kuwabara- Hi.. Yu.. Ku.. Hiyuku..
* The three demons continue staring at Kuwabara when he promptly collapses to lay on his back. When he sits up and shakes his head with a moan Hiei feels a warmth presence swirl around him then fade away. The koorime recognizes the presence immediately and looks toward the boy in Kurama's lap.
Kuwabara- D---, I hate it when I phase out like that.. What happened?
Hiei- Hn.. You should phase out more often. I would listen to your suggestions more often.
* Kuwabara scowls at Hiei. Kurama and Yusuke look at each other.
Yusuke- Was he just named?
* They look back at Hiei. The boy raises his red eyes to meet Hiei's.
Hiei- Hiyuku.. That will be your name, Son.
* The boy points at himself.
Hiyuku- Me? Hiyuku.
Kurama- Yes. Do you like it?
* They all chuckle when the boy shrugs. He then sniffs the air.
Hiyuku- Bird smells good.
* Yusuke and Kurama watch Hiei stand and walk away until he disappears up into the tree once again.

Well, how's that for his name? lol. It just came to me out of the blue. No official meaning, but it does combine their three names.
