Chapter Three: Remembering and Training
Looking back on it now, Harry was glad that he had left Hogwarts behind when he did. If he hadn’t left when he had, or became friends with Draco then he wouldn’t be where he was now. He was trained, he had gained all of his demon powers and knew how to use them, and he had made quite an image of himself in the surrounding community. He could still remember what it was like when they first left England.
~*~*~Flashback~*~*~
“Have you got everything?” Harry asked as he made his way to Draco from his vault. He had just transferred all of his funds the Gringotts branch in Japan.
“Yeah, I have everything that I need and all of my funds have been moved to the branch in Japan. All we have to do is get there.” was the reply.
“Well, I’ve already booked us tickets on the next flight out. It’s to dangerous to Floo or apparate over there as the ministry will be watching the Floo network as well as keeping an eye out for our Magical signatures.” Harry said as they made there way out of the bank.
“That’s good; I don’t fancy getting caught anytime soon. Uncle Sev managed to keep Voldemort off of our backs for a while but that won’t last for long.” Draco said as they made it out onto the Muggle streets of London and hailed a taxi.
They were silent as the taxi made its way to the airport, halfway there they got caught in a traffic jam because a cart had been tipped over in the middle of the road. It gave them more time to think about what had been going on for the past couple of months, the sneaking around school late at night to meet up and talk, the near miss with being caught out by Dumbledore the couple of times that they were careless and how Severus Snape had helped them to escape.
When they got to the airport, Harry paid the driver and then they unpacked the car and pushed their trolleys toward their gate. They had to be quick incase Dumbledore realized that they were smart enough to leave the country. If they were found now then everything that they had planned would be fore waste. As they got to their gate their plane was announced and they handed over their tickets before boarding.
It was a rather long flight and Harry, who had barely got any sleep over the past month, was asleep in an instant. Draco just sat in the seat next to Harry reading a book on Veela as well as keeping an eye on his friend, in the months after the realization of his involvement in the real prophecy Draco and Harry had become really close friends. They had spent the months after that discovery coming up with plans until they settled on the decision that they wouldn’t be able to defeat Voldemort unless they had training. They needed to harness their powers and get stronger and there was no way that they would be able to do that while still at Hogwarts under Dumbledore’s manipulations, and so they left.
When they had arrived at the airport in Tokyo they got off the plane and headed out into the city. Harry had gotten the address of the place that his father had talked about in his letter, and they got a taxi to the home that they would be living in for however long it took them to train fully.
When they arrived at the house they emptied the taxi of their belongings and headed toward the front door. The place was three stories high and had a rather large front yard from what they could see, the front garden was overgrown and looked like it hadn’t seen weed killer in years. Harry pulled out the key to the front door and unlocked it, the inside looked even worse, there were cobwebs everywhere and the furniture was covered in dirty sheets. The front hall was done in deep reds and had black marble for flooring; either that or it was really dirty. The walls had mirrors all along the right side with gaps for doorways and the left side was covered in various pictures of the Japanese countryside and at the end of the hall was a staircase leading up to the next level.
They left their belongings in the front hall and walked up the stairs to the next level. The second floor was just as bad as the first, but they were willing to clean it up and make it worth living in. It took them the rest of that day just to clean out two bedrooms and a bathroom so that they could get to sleep and start early on the house the next day.
When they got up the next day, Draco stayed inside to clean and Harry cleaned up the front yard, using his affinity for nature that he got from his Elvin side. It took a total of three weeks to get the house looking like it used too and Harry had even converted two of the spare rooms on the second floor into study’s for both he and Draco. In total, there were six bedrooms, two studies, one kitchen, a living room, dining room, four bathrooms and a rather large backyard. Harry even used magic to build a Dojo for them to practice in. So by the time their house was finished it looked rather nice.
~*~*~End Flashback~*~*~
Harry still remembered the first time they went into the town to gather some things that they would need for training, they spent a great deal of money that day.
~*~*~Flashback~*~*~
They headed down the driveway towards the taxi that was waiting for them. Both boys’ had planned to go shopping for anything that they would need to help them in their training. They had been told that there was a Wizarding community near by that they could go to for all of their magical needs. They needed Potions ingredients, books and a new owl that wouldn’t be recognized. The owl was so that they could communicate with Severus without being discovered, seeing as Hedwig was too recognizable in the Britain.
“Where did you want to go to first?” Draco asked as Harry paid the taxi driver.
“Well, it will be easier to go to the Wizarding community first. We can shrink what we get and then we can come back out into Muggle Tokyo and do whatever else we need to do.” Harry replied as they walked towards where they were told the entrance would be
“Okay.”
“First stop, Potions supplies.” Harry said as he and Draco walked into the apothecary.
“What exactly are we after?” Draco asked as he followed Harry down the aisles of Potions ingredients.
“We need ingredients for Pain Potions, Dreamless Sleep, Anti-Crutiatus, Blood Replenishing, and anything else you may think that we might need.” Harry said as he picked up some vials of Pomegranate.
“Okay, you look in this part and I’ll go to the next aisle.” Draco said and then he left Harry to browse.
Half an hour later they had found all the ingredients that they needed and had paid for them. They left the store and headed towards the book store, they needed some not so legal spell books. If they were going to fight the most evil Dark Wizard since Grindewald then they would need to know some spells, they highly doubted that Expelliarmus was going to do much.
They spent a good hour and a half in the book Store and spent quiet a bit of money, but with how much money they were both left by their parents, they didn’t need to worry about running out in their lifetime. They picked up a numerous amount of semi dark books and some very well respected self defense books, Harry even planned to go and visit some of the even seedier places for anything else they might need.
By the time they had finished shopping in the alley it was lunch time and they both agreed to eat something in Muggle Tokyo. Leaving through the barrier they headed down the street to a small Japanese café to have something to eat. They needed to go clothes shopping for Harry seeing as he only had his cousins hand me downs and since he came into his magical creature inheritance, they were a few inches too short.
~*~*~End Flashback~*~*~
Draco hadn’t been anymore annoying then he had been that day, Harry had tried on so many different types of outfits that it wasn’t funny. But when he finally got all that he needed and wanted, Harry had to drag Draco out of the store. They had even gone and bought a whole bunch of Muggle weapons to fight with..
A lot of time and effort had gone into their training; Harry had even gone and hired a Muggle Martial Arts teacher to train them. They had to tell him about them being Wizards when he had turned up for a session half an hour early and had seen them dueling, it was lucky that their sensei had come from a family of Wizards but was in fact a squib so they weren’t breaking any rules in telling him about the Wizarding world.
“Sensei Toro is coming over in about an hour; he said that even though we have far surpassed his ability to teach us, we still need to practice.” Draco said as he walked into Harry's study on the second floor, effectively knocking Harry out of his thoughts.
“Okay” Harry said as he looked up at his brother in everything but blood.
“Uncle Sev wants to come over on the weekend too, he wants to make sure that we haven’t killed each other since the last time he visited as well as tell us some new important news concerning the Order and Voldemort.”
“Alright, he can have his usual room.”
“So, what are we going to do until Toro shows up?” Draco asked.
“How about we go and spar, we haven’t done that since you blew up the Dojo last week.” Harry said with a smirk.
“Hey, it was an accident.” Draco countered.
“Yeah, yeah. Come on; let’s get some sparing in before Sensei turns up.” Harry said as he stood and led Draco from the room.
When they reached the Dojo in the back yard, Harry and Draco changed into their fighting grab. Harry wore black baggy pants that clung to the right places and he had attached black wrist bands to his arms. Draco had on a pair of dark emerald green pants that were the same as Harry’s and was wearing blue wrist bands. Both Boys’ bowed and then started their spar.
For the next hour they spared and were so concentrated on what they were doing that they didn’t notice their Sensei standing in the doorway watching them with pride. He had been training the boys’ in martial arts and sword play since a year and a half ago and they had far surpassed his greatest expectations since then. The boys’ only noticed him standing there when he clapped after Harry had thrown Draco against the far wall ending the fight.
“I see that you haven’t become rusty like I had feared.” Sensei Toro said as he walked further into the room.
“We have been training Sensei, everyday.” Draco said as he stood up.
“Well I am proud of you both, you have far exceeded my highest expectations and I am proud to have you both as my students. I was saving these gifts for when you both completed your training and I now want you both to have them.” Toro said as he handed them both a long gift wrapped in brown paper and tied with brown string.
Harry un-wrapped his and pulled out two perfectly made Katana’s, one had a black handle with a silver snake wound around it and the other had a gold griffin on the black handle. Draco on the other hand only got one Katana as he was unable to use two at once, his had a deep blue handle with two snakes wrapped around it. Harry was better at sword play then Draco and was able to master the use of two swords at once, where as Draco had better skills in a bow and Arrows then in a sword but he still mastered single hand use.
“Thank you Sensei, they are a wonderful gift.” Harry said as he bowed and Draco did the same.
“Good, I’m glad you both like them. The sword smith who I commissioned to do those did a rather remarkable job.” Toro said to both boys’.
“We’ll be sure to use them in our next practice session.” Harry said, he was about to say more when the extension to their front doorbell rang telling them that they had visitors..
“I wonder who could be here. Uncle Sev’s not due till tomorrow.” Draco said curiously
“Well, shall we then?” Harry asked his companions as he led the way out of the Dojo and to the house to see who their mysterious guests were.
