The Demon and some bonding time
Okay, JUST A NOTE, once I get the 5th chapter up (It may be the 6th) that one will be really good!!
The demon swatted Hiei aside like a bug. He hit his back agaist a tree, and although Hiei is tough as nails, the demon was stronger, so Hiei was knocked out.
The team ran outside and they killed the demon, because even though it was stronger than one of them, they have good teamwork.
Yusuke ran to Hiei, and picked him up gently. Hiei groaned is his unconsiousness. Yusuke took him inside, and after Kurama deemed him alive, they returned to dinner. All except Yusuke who stayed to tend Hiei. Kurama promised to bring some pizza back for the both of them.
Once they left, Yusuke sat next to Hiei and watched him. Without knowing it, his eyes scanned Hiei's body, looking him over, and sizing him up. "Oh, Hiei, why are you so cold?" He asked to no one in particular, since Hiei was unconsious.
Kurama and Kuwabara entered the bus about half an hour later. Hiei was still out, but his eyes flipped open in a few moments. Kuwabara laughed. "Ha, ha, Hiei, a weak, puny little demon knocked you out!! I beat him with one swipe of my sword!" He exclaimed loudy and puffed out his chest in pride.
"Actually," Kurama mutters under his breath, "It took a well aimed shot from Yusuke's spirit gun to bring down the beast." But Kuwabara, being the big oaf his is, didn't hear him.
Hiei growled and stepped across his chalk line to his couch.
Once everyone had settled down, and the bus was safetly on the road again, Yusuke came to the edge of Hiei's line. "Hiei?"
Hiei turned his head to the sound and looked at Yusuke.
"Can I come in? Or will you kill me?" Yusuke tried the humor to lighten the situation, but Hiei didn't catch on.
Hiei merely looked at him and replied, "Yes, I will kill you."
That crushed Yusuke's hopes (well, hopes of befriending the demon).
"You wont kill me. Come on, I know it."
"Dont push your luck, detective. I know what you're up to."
Yusuke flushes with embarrassment.
Kuwabara laughs, "What, exactly, are you up to, Urameshi?"
Yusuke spins around, facing Kuwabara, his face burning. "Nothing! I just want to make friends with Hiei. Is that a crime punishable by death?" Yusuke turns back to the fire demon with this, his face remains flush, but not burning.
Hiei grumbles. "Hn." He responds, having nothing better to say.
"Well, hn isn't an answer." Yusuke presses Hiei.
Kuwabara and Kurama watch this, silent for once. A small smile of amusement creeps onto Kurama's lips. Kuwabara is barely holding back his impending giggle fit.
Hiei glares at Yusuke and then goes back to looking out the window.
Yusuke glances down at the line, then back at Hiei. He takes one tentative step over the line. Hiei's head twirls to face the detective. Yusuke pauses for a few seconds before bringing his other foot across the line.
Hiei's at his throat in seconds. His hands wrap around Yusuke's neck, choking him. Only to release him a moment later, and with a quick shove, Hiei pushes Yusuke back, onto the couch behind him.
Yusuke sits in stunned silence for a moment, only to be brought back by the rough laughter of Kuwabara. Kuwabara manages a few words between his laughs. "Hiei... has... a... soft... spot... for...Yusuke!!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH!" Kuwabara rolls on the ground, laughing his ass off. Hiei and Yusuke both glare at him and by this time, Kurama has return to his enrapturing book.
Okay, finally, Ch. 3 is up. Sorry at cutting off here. but I dont want the chapter to go on forever. And yeah, I know I keep switching between past and present tense. Ill fix it after I have the entire story up. PLZ REVIEW!!!!
