Revelations

This chapter is dedicated to kiri. I also want to thank all of my fans for supporting me through these months of writer's block.

Suuichi just stared into Hiei’s teary eyes as he tried to catch his breath. He curled up against the wall as far away from the man as he could get. In his struggle, he had managed to kick Hiei in the groin and was able to escape the man’s forced ministrations.

Hiei pulled his gaze towards the shaken boy and blinked his eyes rapidly. When he had been hit, the pain had brought his senses back and he had found himself atop the weeping boy. However, that had not been the worst of it. He had disgustedly discovered that his index and middle fingers were improperly encased within the boy’s backside.

“Suuichi…” Hiei was absolutely sickened with himself as he saw the boy try to melt into the wall behind him. He could not fathom how things had gotten so out of control. All he could remember was having his back rubbed by the boy’s delicate hands and then he was sexually assaulting him. “Suuichi… I am sorry… I…” He reached out a hand towards the redhead.

“Oh, Gods… please, please leave, Hiei… please…”

Hiei closed his eyes and let his head fall completely revolted. The boy had called him by his given name. He was not at all surprised. After what he had done, he knew he did not deserve the boy’s respect and trust. “I am not leaving until I speak with your mother and step father. I will explain what happened.”

Suuichi started to sob again knowing that his mother would think that it was his fault. “Leave… I just want you to leave.” He let his head fall onto his knees and covered his face with his arms.

Hiei took the opportunity and flung himself across the cot and pulled the struggling boy against his chest. “I am not leaving you like this, Suuichi. I did this to you and I will take full responsibility for my actions.”

Suuichi yelled as the man entrapped him in his arms, but was unable to fight much longer. Hiei was stronger and easily immobilized him. Suuichi gave in and struggled no longer. He was then able to think of what Hiei had just said. He stilled knowing that he was partially to blame for what had just happened, but he knew that his curse was not the sole cause either. Suuichi had lusted for this man and it had cost him dearly. “It is not your… fault. I should not have… tempted you.”

Hiei ground his teeth at Suuichi’s blame casting and brought his hands to each side of the boy’s face, making sure he had the redhead’s full attention. “Do not dare blame yourself for what I did to you. You could have paraded yourself nude in front of me and I should have had the decency and the morality to not assault you, Suuichi. You did nothing wrong. It was me. I… took you against your will. I heard you, time and time again asking me to stop and I did not. Do you understand, Suuichi?”

Suuichi heard as Hiei’s voice quivered at those words. It was clear to him then, that Hiei would have never touched him if it had not been for his curse.

“Do you understand that, Suuichi?”

Seeing Hiei’s hurtful eyes and hearing him ask the question forcefully, Suuichi nodded indicating that he understood. However, he could not allow Hiei to approach his mother with this. “General, please… when my step father finds out about this… he… he will be very upset. He will castigate me for such. I do not wish for you to tell him what happened. Please… let it pass and I will approach my mother when the time is right.”

Hiei just held the boy in his arms and continued to caress his hair. He still could not understand the reason why he acted so foul towards this boy who had befriended and trusted him enough to bring him into his home.

“Please, General… I beg of you to let this pass for now. I do not wish my step father’s anger upon me.” Suuichi knew that the man had never before put a hand on him in reprimand or otherwise. However, what had just happened may be deserving of such actions. He had been somewhat intimate with another man. He had let Hiei fully kiss and touch him thoroughly. He had been fully nude and on his cot with Hiei. He had been penetrated if only by the man’s fingers; yet still that was abhorrent and distasteful and he could not bring himself to tell either his mother or step father about it. “Oh, by the Gods… no… Gods…”

Hiei held the boy even tighter as he sobbed uncontrollably. He felt perverse after performing such wicked actions on this boy. Yet how in the Gods’ heaven could he have done such a vile thing, he could not comprehend. Maybe it was best if he left and thought about it. He certainly did not want Suuichi to take a beating for his mischief. Hiei closed his eyes and continued to try to calm the frantic youth. “Suuichi, I do not wish any harm to come to you because of my despicable actions tonight. I will not cause you any more hurt; however, I will stay with you until you have calmed. Is that agreeable?”

Suuichi slowly lifted his eyes towards the man and stared at him for a moment. He felt sick to his stomach to have done what he did. Hiei was obviously a man of honor and values and he had forced him to commit such a distasteful deed. He closed his eyes tight and slowly nodded then rested his head on Hiei’s chest once more.

“Good, now just serene. I do wish to discuss this at a later time, Suuichi; just you and me.”

Suuichi knew that such conversation was inevitable. He owed Hiei that much for having such a part on tonight’s debacle. “I just want to ask you one thing, General. Please do not deny me such a request.”

Hiei stilled the hand that was caressing Suuichi’s hair for a moment and took a deep breath.

Suuichi closed his eyes and regained his composure a bit before he spoke again. “Tell me that you… forgive me, General.”

Hiei could not accept Suuichi’s request. The boy insisted on taking blame for it and he would not allow it. “Suuichi, I…”

“Please…” Suuichi lifted his pleading eyes to Hiei once more. “Do not deny me… you will understand my reasons… at a later time. I just want you to forgive me… please, General.”

Hiei ground his teeth in distaste. Suuichi’s words were ripping into his soul and he gave in. He pulled the boy into his chest and held him tight. Maybe even a little too tight for Suuichi’s comfort, but he did not care at this time. Hiei fisted the boy’s hair and heard him whimper. He immediately let go and placed a linger kiss on the top of the boy’s head.

Suuichi’s heart was racing again as the fear began to overwhelm him. He was not sure of it, but the pain he felt when his mane was pulled and the hurtful embrace that Hiei had given him was making his whole body tremble. He knew that a man like Hiei could be violent if the need be. He was just hoping that he had not pushed too much.

Hiei let the tears roll down his face as this was the only outlet he saw possible as the rage consumed him. He did not want to comply, but it was obvious that the boy needed to hear it. He shut his eyes tight trying to compose himself and that was when the revelation came to him and he saw pieces of Suuichi’s future.

Suuichi yelped as his hair was pulled and he was forced to look the man in the eye. He did not know what to do. He could not possibly bolt from this man’s arms and he could not fight him if Hiei was to cause him harm. Suuichi could not help but let a whimper escape his lips as he saw the tears of anger that flowed down Hiei’s face.

Hiei recognized the renewed fear in the boy’s eyes and he hated himself for causing it yet once again. He took a good look at Suuichi’s face; his trembling eyes, his pale expression, his wavering lips. He then realized this boy in his arms was the embodiment of pureness. He was an obvious innocent who needed safeguarding. Hiei then recognized that such deed was his responsibility to take. Even if it meant that Suuichi needed to be protected from him as well.

Suuichi’s heart stopped and his eyes closed as Hiei leaned towards him and gave him a lingering kiss on his forehead, then his eyes, then his nose and then a chaste kiss on each side of his mouth. Suuichi slowly opened his eyes again and gave Hiei a questioning look.

“I do… forgive you, Suuichi. I also vow that as long as I am able I will protect you from harm. I fear, Suuichi that it is forthcoming that matters will deteriorate for you in the future.” Seeing the look in Suuichi’s eyes, he elaborated. “I have the gift of prescience and… I cannot let what I saw come to be. So, as long as I have the strength, I will protect you, Suuichi. You have my word of honor.”

Suuichi once again let Hiei take him into his arms. He rested his head on the man’s chest and thought of what he had just been told. It was obviously futile to fight it. As he had feared, his curse will eventually take its toll on him. He just needed to make sure that he kept his family out of it.

----

Majari opened his eyes and smiled. He had just been in contact with Itsuki and was given new orders. He was going to have a lot of fun in the next few days.

----

Yusuke’s frustration was evident as he stomped up the stairs towards the other room. Kazuma and Hagiri knew well that they should have been fed and ready by the first light of dawn. Their mission was not to be delayed by any means. They could not afford for Lord Karasu’s men to find Yoko Kurama before they did. If that was to happen, the only alternative then would be to slay the demon. That was an option that Yusuke was trying to avoid at all costs.

He knocked once on the door and there was no answer. Yusuke proceeded to let himself in and to his amazement the door had not been bolted. “Idiots…” He murmured to himself as he let his eyes adjust once he entered the room. It was obvious the men were still asleep; the room was pitch black.

Yusuke ground his teeth and stomped towards the window and with a forceful motion opened the curtains to let the sunlight in the room. “You are just a pair of laz…” He found the words easily leaving his brain at the site in front of him. Kazuma was snoring and slobbering over Hagiri’s back as if he were a pillow. Not only that, but he also had his leg over Hagiri’s legs which in all the position did not disturb him. Only the fact that Hagiri was obviously nude and Kazuma shirtless was what threw Yusuke for a whirl. “What in the God’s heaven is going on with you two?!”

Hagiri was the first one to stir after hearing Yusuke’s loud question. “Ummm, what?” He made an attempt to move, but was obviously unable to due to the heavy sack of potatoes on top of him. Hagiri then felt the moisture on his back and realized that Kazuma was drooling over him. “Geez, man, get off me you slob!”

Feeling the elbow to his severely full and now painful bladder, Kazuma opened his eyes and wiped at his mouth with the back of his hand. “What is going on here?” He then saw Yusuke’s look on his face which was clearly annoyed with an underlying shock to it. Kazuma slowly brought his eyes to the man under him and it was like a bolt of lightning hitting him as he jumped and slammed his back against the wall. “Gosh… man… what... I…”

Yusuke was somewhat relieved to see Kazuma’s expression. He was not sure how he would have reacted if his two most trusted men were having such a relation with each other. Not that he was against it, but he just could not fathom Kazuma being with another man. Now, Hagiri was questionable and that was how he preferred that to be. He just did not want to know. “Get your lazy asses downstairs or I will put you both on watch for being negligent.” And with that Yusuke stomped out of the room and slammed the door not giving a flying horse as to whom he awoke.

Hagiri sat on the bed with his back towards Kazuma. His entire body was sore from the long ride and the fact that Kazuma had obviously slept over him all night did not help.

Kazuma watched as a drop of saliva slid all the way down Hagiri’s bare back and when it reached a certain part he turned away. “Ummm, I am sorry, Hagiri… I did not mean…”

Hagiri stood and walked to the washroom to relieve himself. “It is all well, Kazuma. Do not fret over it.”

Once Hagiri was out of sight, he got up and dressed himself as fast as he could. He would relieve himself some other place. Kazuma wanted out of that room. He was mortified to have found himself violating Hagiri’s person in such a manner. He just could not believe that he had actually slept all night over another man’s nude body. “By all the Gods…” The most disturbing part was that he had had the best night’s rest of a long time. That was not something he felt good about. Knowing that Hagiri would come back at any minute, he gathered the rest of his things and bolted out the door.

----

The sun rays were determined to blind his eyes. Hiei brought up an arm to cover his face as he stirred from his slumber. Just then he realized that there was someone sleeping on his other arm and shoulder. He caressed the soft hair and kissed the top of Suuichi’s head. Hiei knew that he needed to wake the youth as the morning was withering away into noon. “Suuichi, wake up.”

Suuichi opened his eyes and found a pair of ruby eyes staring at him. “Gods, General… I… I must rise at once. My parents will be home shortly.”

Hiei smiled and sweetly kissed Suuichi on the forehead. “I know; that is precisely why I woke you. I will take my leave now. I have matters to attend, but will come to you perhaps tomorrow so that we may have our discussion.”

Suuichi felt his cheeks flush and tried to cover his eyes under overlong bangs. “As you wish, General.”

With that Hiei stood and left towards the bathing room where his clothes had been discarded. After a short period of time, he came back into Suuichi’s room. The redhead was fully dressed and attempting to bring his long tresses under control.

“You know where I stay, Suuichi. Please, come forth if you need anything from me before tomorrow.” With that said, Hiei turned and left.

Suuichi was still a bit overwhelmed by all that had happened. The one part that he was unsure about and wanted to know more of was Hiei’s prophecy. He must protect his family at all costs. There was only one viable option. Maybe it was time Suuichi left his home and lived his life away from his mother. He closed his eyes and tried to control his breathing. This was not something he would look forward to. He knew his mother would not agree, but he would do it if it meant her safety.

Once under control, he was on his way towards the stables. He would see his mother when he returned home and he was not looking forward to that. Suuichi could never hide anything from Shiori and it would just be a matter of time before he told her the truth of what happened between him and Hiei the fore night.

----

Yusuke decided that it was time he went about it a different way. They had visited numerous places in search of word of either Lord Karasu’s men or Yoko Kurama with no success. Another matter that was frustrating him was how Kazuma and Hagiri seem uncomfortable with each other. He would make the men talk things out and fix the problem immediately. Yusuke did not have the patience to entertain childish bouts between grown men. “I need to go to the city. I must send word that we have arrived and await any new orders. You two keep the search. Let us hope that we find him soon.”

Hagiri took a look at Kazuma and then back at Yusuke. He needed to ask because he knew that Kazuma would not. “General, would it be possible for me to procure a third room while we stay here? I am afraid that the current arrangements will not do.”

Kazuma turned white as a paper as he looked between Hagiri and Yusuke. Even though he did want his own room, he knew that Yusuke was running on a short fuse.

“Listen to what I am about to say because I will not repeat myself. You two have shared rooms before with no incidents. Make it so again. I do not care what you do as long as you deal with this immature behavior.” He turned around and started to walk towards the stables. “I will see you two at supper. Please, give me good news then.”

Hagiri exhaled and looked up at Kazuma. He had to smile at the man’s pouting face. “I am certain that we can work through this, Kazuma. How would you like to go about it?”

Kazuma looked up at him in exasperation. “I do not know how to go about it. I feel very uncomfortable about what happened, Hagiri. I hope you understand that it was never my intention to do such thing.”

Hagiri threw his head back in laughter at Kazuma’s disposition. The man looked as if he was about to faint he was hyperventilating so badly. “Calm yourself, Kazuma. We can talk about it at supper before Yusuke returns. Let us continue our search or we will be up all night on watch.”

Kazuma exhaled and followed Hagiri to the market.

---

Hiei was about to leave the room when Majari walked in. He immediately noticed the wicked grin across the man’s face and he knew what the man’s intentions were.

“Lieutenant General, where are you headed this morning?”

Hiei finished hiding his daggers and knives throughout his clothing and then turned to the nagging man. “We have a demon to locate or have you forgotten why we are here?”

Majari laughed at that and sat on the cot. “No, I believe it is you who may have forgotten why we are here. I noticed that you did not sleep in this room last night. Care to share?”

Hiei took his sword and angrily sheathed it before he walked out the door. “My personal matters are none of your business, Majari. Do not test my patience. Not today.”

The blue haired demon stood and walked towards Hiei. “Very well; however, I must advise you that Itsuki has contacted me and there is a matter that we must discuss at once. But first, let us have brunch, huh.”

Hiei ground his teeth knowing that Majari was the worst partner that Karasu could have assigned to him. If not for his current situation, he would have slit both their throats.”

----

Yusuke cursed as his horse was not where it should have been. “These good for nothing morons cannot care for a single horse.” He then went stall by stall to see if they had moved his horse without him knowing. After what seemed like an eternity, Yusuke spotted his steed on the far end of the building being groomed by one of the stable boys. “Gods be damned… just when I am in a hurry.” He stormed towards the unsuspecting youth who was going to receive a piece of his mind.

Suuichi was startled as he was painfully pulled by the arm.

“Why is my horse out of his stall? He should have been groomed hours ago. I am in need of him to be saddled at once!!”

Suuichi took several steps back trying to get away from the irate man when he tripped over a bucked and fell backwards. He fell on his rump but the back of his head hit one of the center columns making him see stars. “I am so sorry, General. I…. uhhh.”

Yusuke was just in time to catch the fainting boy before he injured himself further by hitting his head on the floor. “Gods… me and my stupid mouth.” He felt lower than dirt now that he had calmed a bit. Yusuke pushed the long bangs away from the boy’s face and tried to awaken him. “Hey… wake up. Hey…!”

Suuichi opened his eyes and felt a bit nauseated as the room spun a bit. “What happened?”

Yusuke helped the boy get to his feet, but had to hold him around the waist as his head lolled a top his shoulders. It was obvious that he had hit his head harder then Yusuke thought. “You tripped and hit your head. Are you okay?”

The redhead gripped on to Yusuke’s tunic as he felt his legs give a bit under him. He then looked up at the man hoping he would not enrage the him further by being so bold as to grab onto his clothes. “I am sorry. Gods, I feel dizzy.”

Yusuke felt so bad about it that he decided he would not leave until the boy felt a bit better. “It is I who should apologize. I startled you and all you were doing was grooming my horse. I should not have yelled at you.”

Suuichi’s face blushed and he tried to hide it behind his bangs as he bowed his head. He had taken too long to groom the horse as he was thinking of the recent events. The distraction had made him loose track of time. “I should have been finished with him already, General. It is my fault. I shall have him ready for you in no time.”

Yusuke saw as the boy staggered a bit towards the horse and then proceeded to saddle him. “Do you need help with that?” He took a hold of the saddle just as it was about to slide off the horse. “It is alright, I can finish this. Please, go sit over there. You are still a bit unsteady on your feet.”

Suuichi felt mortified seeing how once again a General in the King’s army took handle of his chores. “General, let me finish it. It is my duty to carry out such labor. I cannot let you do this for me.”

Yusuke looked at him once and gave him a sideways look. “I will finish this and you can help me by guiding me in the city. Go and saddle another horse so that we may leave at once.”

The command took him by surprise. “General, I am on duty and cannot leave the stable until my tasks are completed, furthermore I…”

Yusuke finished with his horse and turned to the redhead. “I am the General of King Yama’s army. Do you think there will be a problem if I request you as my guide?” Yusuke waited until the boy slowly shook his head. “Your tasks can be completed by someone else. Saddle a horse at once.” Yusuke noticed as the boy slowly got up and nearly stumbled once again. “Actually, let us not have you ride on your own. You will ride with me. Come on.”

Suuichi walked towards the horse and Yusuke helped him get on the saddle.

“You will ride in front of me. I do not want you to have a fainting spell while at full gallop and fall off the horse.” Yusuke swiftly got up on the horse as well. “I am sorry, my manners have gone to Hades all day. What is your name?”

Suuichi felt as one of Yusuke’s arms held him around his waist. “Umm, Suuichi Minamino.”

“Well, Suuichi, hold on because I am in hurry.”

After passing the Stable Master and Yusuke informing him of his need for the redhead, they headed for the city.

----

Lord Karasu considered the news that Itsuki had just revealed. “You are certain that this is true.”

Itsuki inclined his head as he answered. “It is the only explanation, my Lord. He matches all of the specifications. After what Majari told me that happened between the boy and Hiei, I have no doubts that it is him.”

The news of what had transpired between the boy and Hiei did not please him at all. “The boy still retains his virtue. Correct?” Karasu watched as Itsuki nodded in reassurance. “Make sure that Majari verifies it and that the boy is brought to me untouched.”

“As you wish, my Lord.” Itsuki bowed and turned to walk away when he was called.

“Itsuki… show me this boy. I wish to see what he looks like.”

“Yes, my Lord.” Itsuki approached Karasu and placed a hand over his forehead. He then proceeded to show him the images that Majari had transferred to him.

Karasu gasped as the images flowed through his head. The boy was absolutely exquisite. A wicked smile drew itself across his face knowing that such boy belonged to him. “Excellent, ensure that my orders are followed exactly.”

The green haired demon then walked out of the room. He needed to ensure that Sensui will not make the same mistake again. Apparently, Karasu had been smitten by the youth as he once was when the saw Yoko for the first time. Lord Karasu will not tolerate the mishandle of his property again. That was certain.

Once the demon was gone, Karasu could no longer contain his glee. He knew that the being that held Yoko’s soul had to be unique, but he had not envisioned such a breathtaking boy. He knew that he had found him again by the way he felt just by looking at the youth’s images. Soon, he would replenish his power and he would be a mighty contender against King Yama’s ruling.

----

Hiei was furious as he stormed from the stables. He had come looking for the redhead and was distraught to learn that he had left with none other than General Urameshi. Not only did Majari give him the new orders from Lord Karasu, but King Yama’s men were here and he had not been aware of it at all.

The fact that the men were here could only mean one thing. That Yoko Kurama was here as well. Hiei headed back to his room. He needed to alert Majari as well as ensure that their mission was completed at once.

----

“You know your way around very well. How long did you live in the city?”

Suuichi had enjoyed visiting the big city again. It brought him a lot of good memories as well as ones he would rather forget. “I believe I was eleven when my step father decided to move to the outskirts.”

“Thank you for your assistance. It would have taken me three times as long to find where I was going. Do you have plans for supper? I would like for you to join me as repayment for your efforts.”

Suuichi thought about it before answering. His mother would not appreciate him missing supper, but he knew that he had to begin severing his ties with her. “That would be pleasant. Thank you for the invitation.”

Yusuke smiled and held the boy closer to him. After spending half the day with the youth he felt somewhat strangely comfortable with him. He had not bedded another man since his years at the academy. However, he did not think it to be of any problem to get closer to Suuichi. If he was to be in this city for an undetermined period of time, then he should have a bit of entertainment as well.

----

Hagiri stared at Kazuma once more and then decided to answer his question. “Yes, Kazuma. For the last time, I am not upset over what happened. I just did not appreciate you drenching me with your dribble while I slept. The fact that you slept atop me does not bother me.”

Kazuma lifted his gaze from the mug of ale he was nursing and stared at Hagiri. “I cannot understand why it does not faze you.” He leaned a bit closer to the man to make sure others did not hear their conversation. “I would rather not share the cot with you, Hagiri. I would not be able to sleep at all. And if that is the case, then I would rather sleep on the cold floor.”

Hagiri exhaled and decided to say whatever Kazuma needed to hear in order to calm the man down. “If it is of any help to you, I do not bed men, Kazuma. On the same token, I do not see any ill from two comrades sharing a cot if there is no sexual intent in the act. Yusuke has made it clear that the current arrangements will not be changed; therefore, we must resolve this matter now. I have gone to such extent as to ask for a spare cot without luck. If you insist, then it is I who shall sleep on the cold floor.” With that said he slammed the mug on the table and walked away in order to relieve his bladder. “Order us another round. Will you?”

As Hagiri walked away from the table, Yusuke walked in the tavern and approached Kazuma. “I hope that you two have resolved matters?” He waited until Kazuma nodded even though the man had not lifted his eyes towards him. “Excellent. Let me introduce you to Suuichi. He assisted me in the city and I have invited him to share supper with us.”

Kazuma lifted his eyes to see who it was that was to sit with them and was totally taken aback. “Umm, nice to meet you; I am First Lieutenant Kuwabara.”

Suuichi then realized that he was going to be joining the King’s soldiers for dinner and he felt a bit nervous about it. “The pleasure is all mine, Lieutenant.” He reached towards the hand that Kazuma was offering him.

As soon as the boy’s fingers touched him, he felt the hairs on the back of his head stand on end. His heart started racing and a number of emotions ran through him. Kazuma had to take a step back to get a hold of himself just then.

“You alright, Kazuma?” Yusuke noticed the man’s disposition and even took a step towards him in case the man did faint.

Kazuma realized that his actions had been noticed and decided to play it off. “Oh, yeah, yeah. That goes to show you to never indulge in hot ale on an empty stomach.”

“Well, then let us not wait any longer and get us a decent meal.” Yusuke smiled as he sat down, but he knew Kazuma better than the man thought. There was something else there and he had the impression that he knew what it was. However, that was something that would be discussed at a later time. “Where is Hagiri?”

“He stepped out for a minute. I was about ready to order another round of ale.”

Suuichi sat besides Yusuke and decided to take a look at the people around him. He just hoped that no one went back to his mother to tell her that he was at the tavern. He would do it himself; he would never hold any truths from the woman. But he just did not want to disappoint her any more. As he lifted his eyes towards the back, he did notice a man intently watching him. His eyes were piercing and all of a sudden he started to feel the pressure on his chest returning.

“Suuichi, are you alright?”

The redhead turned his attention to Yusuke who apparently had been speaking to him and he had not even heard a single word. “Please forgive my behavior. I have never been here and was just distracted.”

Yusuke did take a glance at the direction that Suuichi had been looking in, but other than a few inebriated fools, there was no one there. “I was introducing you to my Lieutenant General Kaname.”

Suuichi immediately stood up and offered the man his hand in greeting. “Suuichi Minanimo, it is a pleasure to meet you, Lieutenant General.”

Hagiri took a moment to admire the youth’s delicate features. Even though he had told Kazuma that he was not into men that had just been a farce. “The pleasure is all mine, Suuichi.”

Suuichi immediately lowered his eyes to the table and sat back down. He could always recognize that look. As he had watched the people around the room, he had noticed more than one person looking at him in such manner. It was obvious this was a place he should never frequent while on his own.

Yusuke noticed how both Kazuma and Hagiri glanced and sometimes even stared at the poor shy boy and he did not like it one bit. He made it a point to clear his throat loud enough for both men to take their eyes off the boy and direct their attention to him. “Do you have any news for me?”

“Ummm, no… we did not find any new information.” Kazuma tried as he might not to be so nervous, but there was just something about the youth that was alarming to him and he just could not place it.

“We went to the market, the academy and even the priesthood. No one could tell us for certain; however, we did manage to get a list of names.” Hagiri handed Yusuke the parchment and then took another look at the boy.

“There are too many names on this list. How are we supposed to go through them all in such a short period of time?”

At that time, the server girl came with a number of plates filled with meats, fruits, cheese and bread and Yusuke just put the list away until after supper.

----

Hiei walked in the tavern and headed straight for the back bar where he knew he would find Majari. It did not take him long to locate the blue haired man. “Majari, we need to discuss a matter that I have been made aware of.”

Majari looked up from his mug of ale and crossed his arms over his chest knowing that he was way ahead of anything that Hiei might tell him. “I am all ears. Please do tell me what you have found out.”

Hiei took a seat across from the man and signaled the bar girl to bring him some ale. “There are guards from King Yama’s army in Medieva. We must be getting close to Kurama. There is no other reason why they would be here.”

Majari exhaled and pretended to be thinking of what Hiei had just told him. “Really, that is very interesting. Might you know exactly who our beloved King Yama has sent to do his dirty work?”

The red eyed demon took several long gulps from his mug before he answered. “It is none other than General Urameshi and his men. I am sure that it has to be because of Yoko Kurama; otherwise, why would he send his best men here.”

The blue haired demon smiled as he though of how Hiei would react to his next statement. “Ah hah, I knew I recognized him.”

Hiei looked up from his mug with a questioning look. “Who are you speaking of?”

“I am referring to the men over at the far table where your beloved Suuichi is sitting. Just look at that, what a coincidence, huh?” Majari knew very well who the men were. He had been tailing the boy since he had had word from Itsuki.

Hiei felt his stomach revolt at the news and could not cover his startled reaction as he turned on a dime and searched frantically until he located the redhead. As Majari had said, there he was having supper with Yusuke and his men. Even though he knew that the boy was not in any danger especially while he sat with the King’s soldiers, he was still upset that the twisted fates had allowed the boy to meet Yusuke.

“Now, now, Hiei… how do you think your best friend is going to react to the fact that once again you are at opposite corners?” Majari loved torturing Hiei and the fact that his words made an impact on the demon every time made it the more worth it.

Hiei turned back to his mug and cursed aloud. “Gods be damned, Majari. I swear that one of these days I will slit your tongue from your mouth and stick it up your ass.”

Majari threw his head back as he laughed uncontrollably. “Oh, my dear, Hiei. Are you sure that is what you want to do? Would you not rather have your own tongue up my ass?”

Hiei immediately stood up from the table and stomped outside of the tavern. He had to get away from Majari or else he would make his threat a reality right there and then. He could not afford to slip right now. There were lives that depended on him completing this mission and Hiei would rather deal with his own torment than loosing the ones he loved.

----

It had been four days since Suuichi shared General Urameshi’s company at supper. However, every day after that Yusuke had come to the stables to request his assistant for one thing or the other. He could not believe that he had befriended the man without effort. The one matter that was not clear to him was why the soldiers were in Medieva. It seemed as if they were looking for something.

That fact was also true about General Jaganshi (otherwise known as Hiei). It had been longer than four days since the man had crossed his path and Suuichi was not certain as to why that was. He did not want to dwell on things, but he had not even had that one conversation he was supposed to have with Hiei and that was because the man had not come procuring him as he had expected.

Things around the home were changing as well and Suuichi had to deal with a lot of different situations which were not pleasant to him. The morning after he had dined with Yusuke, his mother had confronted him about it and Suuichi had not denied it. It took a lengthy dialogue in order for Shiori to understand that he had decided it was time for him to live his life away from Medieva.

Suuichi exhaled as he took the last of his things before he headed to the stables for another day of hard work.

----

Once again here he found himself guiding Yusuke through the main castle. They had gone back to the city and Yusuke had received some type of message from the King.

“Suuichi, wait a moment.”

The redhead turned to see Yusuke peering out of a window. He walked towards the man and looked outside as well and was just fascinated by the site. It was the royal garden and it was absolutely magnificent.

Yusuke noticed as the boy’s eyes lit up and he could not hold back a pleasurable smile. “Would you like to visit the garden? I am sure that I can clear us passage.”

Suuichi looked Yusuke and then back out the window as he did not believe his ears. He loved plants of all shapes and sizes. The grass, the flowers, the trees; he just adored nature. Suuichi did not get to indulge in such things near his home. It was mostly dusty dirt roads and the only flowers grew up at the prairie where he did not get to go very often. “That would be glorious.”

Once again Yusuke found himself smiling he could not control the need to brush Suuichi’s long bangs away from his eyes. The absolutely loved the fact that the boy leaned into the caress. That was a very unexpected but encouraging action on the boy’s part. “Come, let us see what we may find in the garden.”

----

Suuichi could not control his laughter after he once again lost in a game of tag against Yusuke. He found himself lying on a bed of Sakura petals and the aroma was just exhilarating.

“You are no good at this game, Suuichi.”

The boy smiled and sat up to look at Yusuke. “I believe you are not fair at this game, General. I could not possibly outrun you barefoot while you were your battle boots. It is an unfair advantage you have over me.”

Yusuke threw his head back as he sat next to the boy. “You are not serious. I have never seen another man who could outrun a gazelle. I am not quite sure of what you are referring to.” Yusuke then proceeded to pick up one of the red roses that he found on the other side of him and carefully placed it in Suuichi’s hair. “There, it goes well with your complexion and your hair.”

Suuichi brought a hand to caress the soft petals of his favorite flower and a smile escaped him.

Yusuke could not hold himself back and leaned towards the boy. As their lips were but a mere two inches from each other, he noticed how Suuichi leaned back a little. So, he placed his hand at the boy’s nape and ensured that he would not go anywhere as he closed the gap between them and fully kissed Suuichi.

----

He had not been so flustered and frustrated so many times in a long time. The fact that he once again went to talk to Suuichi and found the boy nowhere in the stables made his anger swell. It had been more than three times now that Suuichi had willingly accompanied Yusuke to the city and Hiei was not sure as to the current emotions that were attempting to make his ears bleed.

Hiei would one way or the other ensure that Suuichi broke his ties with Yusuke. He knew that nothing good could come from that. If Yusuke was only looking for a night of pleasure with the boy, Hiei would make sure that the man would not get within ten paces of the boy.

----

Suuichi could not believe what was happening as Yusuke devoured his mouth, lips and neck for the third time. He could barely breathe and his heart was attempting to escape his chest. “General… wait.”

He did not want to wait, but he knew that he was in a public garden and someone could walk in on him and Suuichi, so he broke kiss and stared at the breathless boy beneath him.

The redhead tried as hard as he could to speak, but his mind was scrambled and he was unsure of what Yusuke’s intentions were with him. He was the only man who had initiated any type of sexual advance without his instigation.

“Suuichi, I have been attracted to you since the first time I laid eyes on you. I cannot explain it, but I would love for nothing more than to bed you tonight.”

The boy’s eyes widened at such bold admission and he was praying that the man understood he was not ready for such intimacy yet. “I do not think I should… ummmppphhh.”

Suuichi was silenced by yet another passionate kiss which did not break even as Yusuke rolled them over so that he laid upon the man. He felt as Yusuke positioned his legs to straddle his hips and he felt his face flush as the man’s hardness was felt between his thighs.

Yusuke took the opportunity to knead the boy’s round bottom and grind his erection on his hip. He even snaked one of his hands in between the redhead’s tunic and gasped as his fingers touched that soft skin.

The boy’s eyes widened in horror as he felt his bare skin stroked by Yusuke and pulled himself back to break the kiss. “No… General, please… I cannot do this.”

As Yusuke took the boy’s neck once more, he heard the pleading request. He stilled and it was then he noticed the redhead trembling. Yusuke slowly turned the redhead’s face towards him and he was astounded to see the tearful eyes.

Suuichi was mortified and ashamed. He had wanted this just like he had wanted Hiei’s touch; however, his fear was also overwhelming. “I am sorry… I…”

It was then that Yusuke realized why the boy was so discomposed. “By all the Gods… you are a virgin.”

The boy hid his shame under his bangs as he tucked his face away. “Yes… I am. Please unhand me at once.” For some reason, it angered him that he had been desired by so many people and yet he could not please any of them.

Yusuke held the struggling boy as he tried to get away from him. “Shhh… it is quite alright, Suuichi.” He wrapped his arms around the boy’s back and once the boy stilled he began to caress his shoulders and back. “You are even more beautiful to me now; a precious gem, a pure pearl that has been placed upon my path.

Hearing Yusuke’s words made Suuichi gasped in admiration. He had assumed that the man would reject someone as sexually inexperienced as him. However, hearing such endearments made his heart race and before he realized it his member stirred.

Yusuke took the boy’s lips once again and savored the taste of such innocence. He had wanted for nothing more than a warm bed while he was in Medieva; especially if it was someone as appealing as Suuichi, but now that had changed. The boy in his arms was an innocent and he could not take such a gift from him. He would wait until Suuichi was ready; even if he had to take the boy with him once he returned home.

----

Kazuma walked into the room and his eyes immediately went to the cot which had mysteriously found his way towards the other end of the room. Furthermore, there were two sets of sheets now. One covering Hagiri and one nicely folded on his side of the cot.

He walked into the room and closed the door. Kazuma then proceeded to take off his tunic and boots and got into bed.

Hagiri felt the movement and assumed that Kazuma was back from his bath and was now in bed with him.

“Hagiri…”

He opened his eyes hearing his name whispered by the other man. “Yes, Kazuma.”

There was a minute’s pause before he heard the other man speak again.

“Thank you… for everything.”

He smiled at that knowing what Kazuma was talking about. “It is no problem. I must tell you, it is expected to be a cold night. Do not hesitate to warm us up.”

He almost sat up on the bed after hearing Hagiri’s comment. “That is just wrong, Hagiri. I was trying to be nice.” Kazuma proceeded to turn on his side to make sure his back was towards the other man.

Hagiri continued to smile as he rearranged himself on the cot. He loved sleeping on his stomach and he never covered up all the way; just the important parts. “So was I, Kazuma. Have a good night’s rest.”

Kazuma crossed his arms and furrowed his eyebrows. Even though he pretended to be upset, he found himself somewhat relaxing. Hagiri had once again made it known that he would not be upset if Kazuma invaded his space. However, he would try to avoid it as much as possible. Kazuma just hoped it did not get too cold during the night.

----

Yusuke could not believe his luck. He had come to find out that Lord Karasu had sent none other than Hiei and Majari to search for Yoko Kurama. He had even run into them while on their search for the demon. Yusuke had been held back by Kazuma before he made trouble for himself by attacking Hiei in public view of everyone.

He laid back down on the cot and tried to think things through. There were so many things he could not understand. He and Hiei had become enemies from one day to the next. They had been at the academy together. Even assigned to the same company; then things changed and now Hiei worked for one of his greatest enemies, Lord Karasu.

Yusuke turned on his stomach and his attention fell upon the list on the chest. The list he had been given as the best mean to find Kurama. It had the names of all the youths that matched the criteria. They had to be male, of seventeen to eighteen years of age and born in the province. From dawn until dusk they had searched for the youths and verified if there was any indication that they could be the one they were looking for.

But there was one name on that list that he was not ready for; the name of the one boy who had somehow stolen his resolve and maybe even his heart. He had been thinking of him since the day he met him at the stables. They had gone through just about half the list with no luck. That made it even the more worrisome that in fact Suuichi could be the one.

----

Suuichi was so tired that he did not think his legs could hold him a second longer. He had worked way too long mostly because one of the stable boys had been ill and he had been assigned part of his chores.

He was finishing up by stacking the shovels and rakes when he heard a loud noise. Suuichi immediately turned around to find someone standing at the entrance of the stall. The light was dim and he could not make out who it was. The boy took a step back and his hand grabbed one of the rakes in case he needed it.

“I hope you know how to protect yourself with that or else you might as well not fight me.”

Suuichi sighed as he recognized the voice. “General, why are you in the stables so late in the night?”

Hiei took a couple of steps inside the stall and stared at the boy. “I went by your house and your mother told me you were not home yet. I figured this would be the only other place you would be at this hour.”

The boy’s eyebrows furrowed not completely understanding the situation. “But, why would you be looking for me?”

The demon took one of the rakes from the floor and twisted and flipped it around as a weapon should be handled. “We need to speak.”

Suuichi could not take his eyes away from what Hiei was doing with the rake. It was obvious the level of skill the man possessed. “I thought we would be speaking much earlier than this.”

Hiei walked towards the boy and placed the rake on the nail by the wall, but instead of removing his hand he placed it flat on the wall itself right by Suuichi’s face. He then brought his other hand to the other side and stood but a mere two inches away from the boy. “I have been busy. I am here for a mission and that is my top priority.”

Suuichi started to feel a bit uncomfortable, especially now that he could smell the ale on the General’s breath. “I understand… are you certain that you would… like to speak of such things at the current time?”

Hiei smiled and gently removed the stray hairs that were blocking the boy’s eyes. “I am not here to speak to you about what happened between us. There is something else that I am curious about.”

Suuichi did not mean it, but he leaned towards the fingertips that caressed the side of his face. “What would… that be, General?”

Hiei leaned into the boy’s ear to make sure that no one else could hear their conversation. “Why are you spending so much time with General Urameshi? That is what I am curious about.” As Hiei pulled back to look into the boy’s shaky eyes, he could not avoid the fact that Suuichi smelled of oats and hay. The smell was somewhat appealing to him.

“Umm… the General has requested my assistance; mostly in directing him around the city. Nothing more.”

Hiei’s brows furrowed at that bit of information. “Where exactly has he been to in the city?”

Suuichi did not know if he should be speaking of such things. There was something wrong in the way Hiei was acting and he was becoming nervous about it. “General, I do not wish to talk about this. I do not believe that I am at liberty to say.”

Hiei realized that the boy had started trembling and knew that he had crossed the line. He brought both hands to each side of Suuichi’s face and stared into those wavering emerald orbs. He then kissed the youth on the forehead as his way of apologizing for his behavior. “Come, it is late and your mother is worried. I will walk you home.”

Suuichi had not been aware that he had been holding his breath, but was relieved that Hiei came to his senses. He let the demon take his hand and guide him out of the stable and towards his home. Suuichi was starting to get the impression that he had just stepped into something that he should not have any business in. He just had to figure a way to get himself out.

----

Minor Lord Itsuki bowed as he approached Lord Karasu. “My Lord, you called.”

Karasu stood from his chair and walked towards the window. He gave Itsuki his back as he addressed the demon. “Give me some good news, Itsuki. My patience is running thin.”

Itsuki chose his words carefully. Even though he would never betray his Lord, there was just one matter that he was not willing to reveal at the present time. “My Lord, Majari is making excellent progress. I assure you that your wait is coming to an end. Yoko Kurama will be yours again soon.”

Karasu continued to look out the window. He did not want Itsuki to see the smile on his face. Karasu immediately wiped it away before turning to address Itsuki. “I am tired of these vague prophecies. You have until the third full moon by the end of which Kurama shall be here in my arms or face the consequences.”

The green haired demon swallowed hard knowing that Karasu would never make any threats in vain. “Yes, my Lord. I will inform Majari at once.”

----

Suuichi was listening to the others as they all ate their noon meals.

“My mother said the same. They asked a lot of questions and wanted to know if I had ever troubled them at all.”

The redhead stopped eating immediately and stared at the boy who had just spoken. “Who are you speaking of?”

The boy had his mouth full of bread and could not respond, so the one next to him answered. “The guards that are in town; they asked my mother the same as well. I am surprised that with your history they have not approached your mother yet.”

Suuichi felt the knot on his throat become almost unbearable. “Why would they ask such questions?”

The first boy finished swallowing his bread and continued his story. “Father mentioned that they are looking for someone. There is a prophecy of sorts.”

“Prophecy?”

“By the Gods, Suuichi. You are so naïve. Yes, a prophecy that a fox demon would reincarnate as a human. My grandfather told us the tale all the time.”

The blood just drained from Suuichi’s face as he heard those words. It would just be impossible that the person both Hiei and Yusuke were looking for happened to be none other than himself.

“Suuichi, are you okay? You look ill. The bread is hard, but it is not that bad?”

The redhead tried to recompose himself as the others continued to watch him. There was just one more thing he needed to know. “Has your grandfather ever described this fox demon to you? What he looks like?”

The first boy looked thoughtful for a moment and then he replied. “All I remember is that he has white hair and golden eyes.”

“And he is very powerful. Do not forget that.” The second boy chimed in.

That was when Suuichi really felt ill. “By the Gods… this cannot be.”

Both boys stood as Suuichi’s plate hit the floor and all the food scattered on the ground. “Suuichi, shall we send for your mother? You look as if you would faint at any moment.”

Suuichi stood and had to reach for one of the walls as the blood rushed to his head. His heart was beating so hard and his chest was so tight he thought he would faint indeed. “I must return home. I am not feeling well.”

“I will take you. Shiryu, please inform the Stable Master.” The other boy nodded. “Come, Suuichi.”

----

Hiei balled his fists by his sides wanting nothing more than to reach for his sword and remove the head from Majari’s body. “You are mistaken, Majari.”

Majari took two steps closer to Hiei knowing that the man was extremely upset, but also knowing that no harm would come to him. “I have received orders from Lord Karasu to bring Yoko Kurama to him by the third full moon and I plan on doing just as he has ordered.”

Hiei ground his teeth trying in vain to control his temper. “Then do so; however, you just said that you are going to bring Suuichi to Karasu. I must have misheard you.”

Majari tilted his head and crossed his arms across his chest. “That is ‘Lord Karasu’ to you Hiei, and no, you did not mishear me.” He took another defiant step towards the red eyed demon. “Do you not remember what you did to the boy, Hiei? You almost defiled him on that dreadful night.”

Hiei was completely taken aback by Majari’s statement. “How do you know of such things? Unless…”

Majari smirked once again and walked towards the cot where he sat down and crossed his legs. “Unless… yes, my beloved. Unless I was there and saw what happened.”

For a moment, Hiei found himself mute; completely unable to come back at Majari with a retort.

“The boy is Yoko Kurama; I have no doubt of that. How else would you explain your actions? How about the day we set foot in this town; the way he was being assaulted in the middle of the academy training grounds? He does not know how to control it, Hiei. That is yet another reason we must act fast and return him to Lord Karasu at once.”

It was then that Hiei understood the vision he had that day. Of what the future held for the poor boy. He felt his soul ache as he realized that he would have to either break his promise or loose his beloved. The only option was to go along with Majari until a better option became available. Hiei’s head fell as he realized that the boy would never trust him again.

Majari stood from the bed and walked towards the door. Seeing Hiei’s submission to what he had just told him was answer enough. “Let us go and catch us a fox demon, Hiei.”

----

Suuichi once again thought of his options. He knew that there was only one thing he could do. He must flee the city at once and ensure that his mother was safe from whatever his curse was to bring upon him.

----

“What are you doing here?”

Yusuke immediately turned around as he was addressed by a very upset Hiei. “I could ask you the same thing.”

Hiei took a couple of steps towards Yusuke and looked him straight in the eye. “You should back away while you have the chance, Yusuke. Or I will be forced to remove you from my path.”

Even though Yusuke knew that if he had to fight Hiei it would be an violent encounter, he was confident in his skills and knew he would come out on top. “Do not temp me, Hiei. There is a score that we must settle and I have no problem in doing so right here and now.”

In that very instant Shiori opened the door and was startled to see both men about to go at each other’s throats.

----

Suuichi gathered the last of his things and stuffed them in his saddle bag. He was not looking forward to leaving especially without even saying a word to his mother. But that was something he was willing to live with as long as she was safe. Maybe a note would suffice.

“What do we have here? Are you going somewhere, Suuichi?”

The redhead whipped around as he did not recognize the voice addressing him. There stood a man with long blue hair and Suuichi’s eyes opened wide as he recognized him from that night at the tavern. “What do you want? How did you get in my house?”

Majari lunged towards the boy and slammed him against the wall. He saw as the boy’s head hit and his eyes became a bit out of focus. “’You’ is the answer to your question. You are coming with me. Lord Karasu is awaiting your arrival and we shall not be late.” At that very moment, Majari took Suuichi’s lips in a forceful kiss. When the boy did not allow him in, the demon savagely bit Suuichi’s lips until he could taste the blood in his own mouth.

“Mmmmphhhh…” Suuichi had no choice but to let the man in. His eyes began to water as the pain of the bite became more intense.

Majari broke the kiss and slammed Suuichi’s head against the wall one more time. He then proceeded to rip the boy’s tunic and bite the boy yet again between his shoulder and neck.

“Aaahhhggg… nooooo… stop!!!”

The demon began to lick at the bite mark and savor on the boy’s blood. “Mmm, you taste even better than I thought.” He then looked the boy in the eye. “I had always wanted to do that. Ever since the day you set foot in Lord Karasu’s castle.”

Suuichi’s tears were now flowing. He did not understand a single word of what the man was referring too. He did not know a Lord Karasu and he had never been on the man’s castle.

Majari proceeded to lap at the boy’s tears as he ground his erection against the Suuichi’s hip. “I am immune to your power, Kurama. Lord Karasu made sure of that. But, I cannot control myself around you regardless. If he would not find out, I would rape you right here and now and take more pleasure in seeing your tears and your blood flow from your body.”

The redhead shook hearing such admission.

“Now, come before Hiei gets himself dead.”

----

“You men have no business coming to my home and behaving in this manner. I will not allow it.” The blacksmith was more than appalled at the current scenario.

Shiori walked towards her husband wanting nothing more than to ensure he did not become the object of the Generals’ rage. “Please, we ask that you take your dispute somewhere else. We are a family and do not wish such situations at our step.”

“Where is Suuichi? I need to speak with him at once.” Hiei did not take his eyes off of Yusuke as he asked Shiori the question.

Shiori looked at her husband and then back at the men in front of her. “Why should you request his presence at this hour? He is asleep in bed as expected.”

Everyone’s attention was brought to the front door as Majari appeared with a bloodied Suuichi in tow. “I beg to differ on that, dear. He is not asleep at all. About to faint, yes. But he is indeed awake.”

Suuichi grunted as his hair was pulled back and his neck was forced into an awkward angle. He opened his eyes and saw the horror in his mother’s eyes. “Mother… I…”

“What is the meaning of this? Why is he treating him this way?” Yusuke was ready to pull his sword and gut the demon for his actions. There was blood on the boy’s face from what looked like a split lip and more blood was over his shoulder where an obvious bite mark was visible. Yusuke looked at Hiei for answers.

Hiei could not believe his eyes. Majari had not only taken Suuichi from his bed, but had caused the boy harm. “This is unnecessary, Majari.”

For once, Yusuke was shocked to hear such words from Hiei. He had not expected him to be unaware of Majari’s actions. He felt a tug on his heart seeing Suuichi’s painful face and was ready to take the boy by force if need be. “Release him at once or…”

“Or what, Yusuke?” Majari proceeded to grab the boy by the throat and start suffocating him.

Shiori could not control herself and yelled. “Noooooo!!! What do you want with my son? What has he done to deserve this? Please do not hurt him any longer. I beg of you, please.”

The demon let go off the boy’s throat, but not before grabbing him by the hair to keep him on his feet. The boy was coughing frantically trying his best to catch his breath. “The only thing your dear son has done is have the unfortunate luck of being born.”

Hiei took a step forward knowing what Majari was about to do. “Majari… do not do this.”

Seeing the confused looks on everyone else’s face, Majari decided to indeed proceed and enlighten everyone. He licked at Suuichi’s neck injury before turning his attention to Yusuke. “You see, our little redheaded boy is none other than Lord Karasu’s pet which I am about to return to its master.”

Yusuke’s eyes widened hearing Majari’s words. “What are you talking about?” He turned to Hiei who just had a somewhat apologetic look in his eyes. “Hiei…”

“Yusuke, I…”

Everyone’s attention was back to Suuichi as they heard the boy yelp from Majari once more pulling on his hair. “You mean to tell me that you do not believe me.”

Yusuke could not even begin to speak. It was as he feared. Suuichi was in fact the one they had been looking for all along.

“Perhaps a little demonstration is needed.” Majari tilted Suuichi’s head so that he could speak into the boy’s ear. He then began chanting loud enough that only the boy could hear him.

Something inside him began to stir. The pressure on his chest was so unbearable he was gasping for air. “Aaarrrggghhh, please stop!!” He felt it getting stronger as if something wanted to burst through his chest. “Noooo… aaarrrggghhh!!!”

Yusuke could not believe his eyes. He was immobilized even though he could hear Shiori yelling beside him; even though he could hear Suuichi’s dreadful screams. He noticed the blood running from the boy’s nose and knew that he was in danger. “Stop at once!! There is no need for this.”

Majari looked Yusuke straight in the eyes and ensured that he heard the last sentence. “Reveal yourself to me!”

Suuichi could not take the pain any longer and his legs gave in. He fell to his knees and threw his head back as an agonizing scream escaped him.

Yusuke could only watch still mummified in place. “Suuichi…” Was all he could utter as right in front of his eyes he saw the transformation that Majari had called upon the boy. His hair changed as white streaks began to appear and when the boy’s eyes met Yusuke’s he saw in fact that it was all true. The emerald orbs that he had so admired were now a mixture of green and gold as Yoko Kurama materialized before his eyes.
