So...

Daydream – Chapter 3 - So...

A/N: wow, I’m so sorry this took so long. I had actually had like 4/5 of it written already but then school had started and time just ticks away. Anyway, I don’t have much more to say but thank you to everyone who reviewed, and here’s the next chapter.

He looked up to see that Kurama had fallen deep asleep, bodies a little too close. It was causing an uncomfortable heat, though Hiei was sure that was not all it was creating. Pulling of his top, he put it on the floor beside the bed, folded.

“Fox, you’re rubbing off on me. Cleaning, keeping things neat, everything...”

He turned back to Kurama, it was better that way since Kurama’s position, and hold on him would make any other position, shall we say, odd. With that, he tucked them in and also fell into a deep slumber.

Rays of warmth shone through his window and met with his green emeralds. He quickly shut his eyes, only to find himself with a rather painful headache. ‘Hangover. Ugh, damn.’ It was then he noticed the warm bundle in his arms, with silky strands of hair tickling some of his nose.

“OHMYGOD!”

He couldn’t think straight with the headache, but he DID notice that Hiei was topless. “DID WE?!”, he was going to have a heart attack. Lifting the covers, he gave a sigh of relief, “bottoms still on…” This was all too much for him; he reached into the nightstand next to his bed and grabbed some aspirin. He swallowed two pills and looked over to the other demon on his bed.

Others would misunderstand the demon’s defense mechanism as a petulant attitude. That’s probably why he KuwaKuwabara argue as they do. There is no place in for heroes in the Makai, it was more important that any enemy you had, you caused trepidation at sight. “Hiei, you’ve been strong for so long, and have gone through what most demons have in a lifetime… when can this end?” He brushed through the bangs of the handsome koorime [A/N: VERY HEHE, oh sorry this was so tempting], with one of his hands. The headband that concealed his Jagan was a bright contrast to his dark hair. In his sleep, he resembled an innocent, untainted being, maybe even ebullient. But Kurama knew not to be deceived by it.

After being abandoned in the Makai, and having to fetch for his own, Kurama knew. But the fact that Hiei wasn’t a completely acrimonious was a wonder; his love for his sister and trust in the Reikai Tantei proved that much. He watched as the koorime inhaled and exhaled, as the muscular chest rose up and down. His attempts to draw his eyes from the attractive demon were abortive, no longer to abnegate the koorime’s face.

It was Hiei’s sudden fluttering opening of eyes that had abashed the youko, Hiei him staring at him! They stared into each other’s eyes for what seemed like hours but were only seconds.

“Can I help you?” Hiei’s deep, rich took Kurama’s out his trance.

“Oh… nothing. ^^;; Ano… would you want to use the shower first?”

Hiei just gave the fox a dubious look and told to go first. Kurama got off the bed and went towards his closet. Finding his clothes, he headed towards the bathroom. He shut the door behind him and removed his articles of clothing. He adjusted the water and stepped into the shower. He let the warm water flow down his body. He closed his eyes and tried to relax. What happened last night anyway? Everything was such a blur. He hoped he hadn’t made any confessions that he didn’t want to make drunk.

Still under the sheets on Kurama’s bed, Hiei waited for the fox to finish his shower. But the bad thing about being alone was that you got to think, and he began to wonder about what the fox was saying last night. He really wished now that the fox was more serious with him sometimes. He was sure that there would be questions later on; Kurama was always an inquisitive one. One thing might lead to the next. The koorime was not in the mood to voice any of the thoughts that had come to his head when he was with the fox.

A/N: Another short chapter. I’m sorry but I’ve tried to lengthen them as much as possible. But I find that unless, I get something posted, no new ideas pop into my head. Anyway please review, criticism is welcome. Thanks for reading. =]
