Hiei's Harem - Pt. 12 - Dominating

Okay, well here are three new scenes.. Which brings us up to Scene 30.. on the 30th.. I just had to do it. :o) Happy New Year's everyone!!

Scene 28 ---------- The Main Barrier


* Hiei is standing, with his arms crossed, staring out through the slightly- frosted distortion the barrier causes. He senses the three brothers approaching and looks toward them. Kumataro yawns widely as Habataro greets their Alpha.


Habataro- When you said morning, you weren’t kidding.

Hiei- Hn.

Coutaro- Have you been waiting long?

Hiei- No. But I’m anxious to get this nonsense over with.

Kumataro- You’re riled up already?

Hiei- Don’t ask.


* They watch him close his eyes and feel him relax a bit.


Hiei- Alright. Let’s go.

Habataro- All of us this..?


* Just the look Hiei gives the taller demon over his shoulder shuts him up. Dagon is laughing and having breakfast with Pterrayu and his family in one of the trees. When he feels Hiei’s presence appear he quiets and stands.


Dagon- Come, Pterra.


* The two winged demons take off and soar over to where Hiei and the Lynxs are. As soon as they land Hiei speaks.


Hiei- Alright, listen up, birds. I want you to spread my orders to the others. I want this to go as smoothly as possible. I don’t want everyone rushing at me at the same time. These meetings will not be chaos.. Do you understand?


* Dagon cocks his head, studying Hiei a moment, then moves forward to hand him a rolled up scroll.


Dagon- I think you’re stressing out too much, sir.. I’ve taken it upon myself to make a list of all the alphas who wish to honor you.


* When Hiei takes the scroll and bites the string holding it closed the paper drops to the ground and rolls about three feet. Hiei scowls then looks back up at Dagon. The Crow chuckles nervously.


Dagon- Yeah, uhh.. They all signed up.


* Hiei starts to roll the scroll back up.


Hiei- This will take the whole f---ing day!

Habataro- But it is necessary to..

Hiei- Yeah, yeah.. Fine.. I’ll only see them one pack at a time, though.. Might as well start with your cousin since he is the first name on the list here, I see.


* Dagon nods and motions Pterrayu forward.


Dagon- Lord Hiei says that he’ll see you first, cuz.. I’ll go fetch the next one on the list.


* Dagon takes out his own copy of the scroll and takes off. Hiei looks up at the primitive-looking winged demon.


Hiei- Your name is Terra.. something?

Pterrayu- Pterrayu, sir.

Hiei- Whatever. What do you want to do?

Pterrayu- I wish to congratulate you on your most notable accomplishment..


* Pterrayu bows respectfully with a flutter of his slightly outstretched wings.


Hiei- Skip the big, fancy words and just get on with it.


* Pterrayu straightens back up.


Pterrayu- I wish to let you know that my flock is offered to your service whenever you need us.

Hiei- What kind of service would I be needing?


* Pterrayu gives a chuckling squawk.


Pterrayu- Well, surely, sir.. Now that you’ve won this region.. Rightfully, I might add.. You’ll be setting your sights higher.. Right?

Hiei- Higher?


* Pterrayu half glances toward the Lynxs, then holds up one of his three-fingered hands to count them off.


Pterrayu- well, there’s Mukuro, Yomi, and..


* Hiei holds up one of his own hands.


Hiei- Hold on right there, bird.. I..


* Hiei’s mind drifts away a moment on the prospect that Pterrayu’s words have planted. Then he shakes the images from his mind and glares back up at the bird demon.


Hiei- I haven’t even got this region organized, yet..


* Pterra bobs his head and touches his chest.


Pterrayu- Forgive my eagerness, M’Lord.. I merely wanted to make you aware that my clan is at your disposal for anything you might need.

Hiei- I have no further ambitions, Pterrayu. End of story. I accept your tribute, however.

Pterrayu- My trib.. You think that to be the same as.. money?


* Hiei’s temple throbs.


Hiei- I’m not going to require money from anyone, bird.


* The bat hybrid stares at Hiei a long moment, then his expression softens.


Pterrayu- That will set a lot of your new subjects as ease, Master.. This is a poor region and some were concerned that you were going to be a greedy little tyrant.

Hiei- Greedy.. no.. Tyrant.. That’s still to be decided, yet.


* Pterrayu gives his chuckling noise.


Hiei- If you’re done, you may go.


* Pterrayu bows again and takes off. Hiei looks up at Habataro.


Hiei- Honestly, going any further has never crossed my mind.

Habataro- But it’s always a possibility..

Hiei- Oh, not you, too.. At the most, I will probably only maintain peace with those three.. Especially Yusuke and Mukuro.

Habataro- Whatever you plan to do, know that you have our complete support.


* Kuma and Cou both agree. Hiei looks away as the next alpha is escorted over by Dagon.


Dagon- This is Candu, Master. He’s Ooshama’s younger brother.


* Hiei becomes immediately alert as he looks up at the reptillian demon who’s much smaller than Ooshama was. He allows his jagan eye to open behind the ward.


Candu- M’Lord.


* The skinny demon collapses in a bowed heap before Hiei trembling.


Candu- I-I-I’m the.. only.. s-surviving brother left f-f-from my clan’s.. r-ruling family.. Ooshama k-killed the others.. b-b-but left only m-me..

Hiei- Why?


* Candu covers his head a moment before answering.


Candu- B-be-because a childhood.. incident.. left me s-sterile and.. unable to produce.. B-big brother deemed me.. too weak to b-be any threat t-to him.. But he did.. enslave me as he d-d-did any of the others he c-conquered.


* Hiei glances up at Dagon who has decided to stay. The Crow nods to confirm Candu’s words.


Candu- Please, p-please.. Sp-spare me.. I pledge you m-m-my loyalty, Master.

Hiei- Will you submit to a thorough scan of my jagan eye?


* Candu looks up timidly as Hiei removes his bandana and tosses it aside.


Candu- Hai.. I-I-I under-st-stand what that is.. I w-will submit.. completely. I will open myself..

Hiei- I get the message. Relax and make yourself comfortable.


* Candu obeys and shifts up into a more comfortable sitting position. He swallows hard but looks directly into the glowing purple eye. For several minutes nobody makes a sound as they watch Hiei. When the jagan finally dims and Hiei opens his true eyes Candu sinks forward some. He shakes his head to clear it.


Hiei- I find your words true.. I sense neither hostility nor revenge in your being.

Candu- I only have gratitude for being freed from my brother’s servitude.

Hiei- Slavery would be more descriptive.

Candu- My clan isn’t very large.. anymore.. We don’t have but one thing to offer you to express our loyalty to your rule.

Hiei- You may offer it.

Candu- Ooshama’s fortress. It is yours, M’Lord.


* Candu bows his face to the ground again.


Candu- Along with our continued servitude..

Hiei- Hn. I’ll accept the fortress.. But I won’t require your continued slavery..

Candu- We won’t consider it as such.. It’s not slavery when it’s offered willingly.. Every one of us will even submit to being scanned.. If any of the half dozen of us left show any ill will toward you, their fate will be in your hands, sir.

Hiei- I’ll consider my decision.. You may go now.. Fetch the next one, bird.


* Candu bobs his head respectfully as he backs off, then skitters away into the underbrush. Dagon looks at Hiei.


Dagon- That fortress is huge.. It would easily house you and all of your growing family.

Hiei- Leave my growing family out of this and go.


* Dagon turns and waves a hand toward some thick bushes on the other side of the clearing. A small group of very small demons hurries forward and bows before Hiei.


Hiei- What the.. h--- type of demons are these?


* The largest of the furry, ewok-looking apparitions raises up slightly.


Nogooki- My name is Nogooki, Master.. These are my family.. We are Hamster demons. (1)

Hiei- Hn.. What could you possibly offer?

Nogooki- We only wish to pledge our loyalty to you..

Hiei- Very well. I accept.

Nogooki- Then please allow us to honor you with our Dance of Honor!


* Hiei nearly facefalls when the small group stands and begins to dance excitedly. Habataro covers his amused grin as he glances toward his brothers. Both of them are trying to control their own snickers. Hiei glances a hard glare toward them until they notice and sober up quickly. The Koorime then looks toward Dagon who is obviously enjoying the exuberant dance. When Dagon notices his Master’s attention he, too, stiffens.


Hiei- Go fetch the next one, Crow.


* Dagon bows and takes off. Hiei moves over to a small boulder and sits down to continue watching the ‘show’. He tries his best to remain as calm as he can as the dance continues. It would probably be considered bad form to wipe out the tiny clan for something so ‘trivial’.
