Scene 25 ------------------------------------------- One Hour Later
* When Hiei wakes up again he finds himself being stared at by three familiar faces. The koorime blinks in disbelief until Ichiro and Jiro look at Chiisai.
Ichiro- Go get Uncle Koe, Chi!
Jiro- Yeah. He said to get him when Papa woke up.
* Hiei moans as Chiisai blinks away yelling for Koenma as he leaves the room.
Hiei- What the.. h---..?
Ichiro- Uncle Koe found you, Papa.
Jiro- Are you okay?
Ichiro- Uncle Koe wouldn't let us go with him to help get you.. I wanted to..
Jiro- Yeah, so did I, Papa.
* Hiei slowly remembers the exploding wall. He raises a hand to rub his throbbing temple. Chiisai reappears.
Hiei- Ahh.. d---..
Koenma- Is that any way to speak in front of your kids, Hiei?
* Carefully, Hiei sits up and embraces his three boys.
Hiei- You nearly.. killed.. us.. And you're worried about how I'm.. talking?
Koenma- Yukina was there.. She was able to keep you from dying.
* Hiei glances up at the Teen godling who is smirking behind his pacifier. The koorime feels his sons' concerns and looks at them.
Hiei- (Quietly) I'm okay, boys.. You can stop fretting now.. Shh..
* When they settle down Hiei relaxes.
Hiei- Where is Yukina?
Koenma- She took Kasaba back to the temple so he could rest after she was sure you were okay.
* Hiei climbs off of the couch, glancing around the apartment that he and the boys have lived in for the past two years, orienting himself. The twins remain attached to his arms and Chiisai to his neck until he speaks again.
Hiei- You can go play now, boys.
* Hiei watches them flit away toward their playroom. Koenma quietly watches the short, dark demon limp toward his kitchen area, rubbing his back.
Koenma- (Quietly) I understand that we got there just in time.
* Hiei freezes, then half turns to glance up at him.
Hiei- Hn.. How the h--- did you find us? The b------ moved us just after Ryuji left.
* Koenma follows Hiei on into the kitchen. He tilts his head when he watches Hiei take a can of beer out of his refrigerator and pops it open.
Koenma- Is that.. human alco-?
* Hiei turns and gives Koenma a look that shuts him up. The koorime then moves to sit down at his table to drink it.
Hiei- You just about blew me.. us.. to bits and you're worried about what I'm drinking?
* Koenma sighs. He figured the koorime would be in a foul mood. The godling moves to sit down across from Hiei as he gulps down half the can quickly.
Koenma- Of course I'm concerned.. When did you start drinking.. again?
* Hiei sets the can down and stares at it, ignoring the question. Koenma studies his friend as Hiei gets lost in his memory of what happened between he and Yukina. Carefully, Koenma leans forward.
Koenma- (Quietly) We did get there in time.. Right?
* Koenma's question snaps Hiei back to the present. He glares at the Teen, again ignoring the reference to that incident.
Hiei- Answer my question, d--- it! How did you find us?!
* Koenma straightens up.
Koenma- Well, this thing came up with that half brother of yours..
* Koenma motions toward the bracelet he's still wearing.
Hiei- Ryuji? Please tell me he didn't go after Mukuro..

Koenma- No.. We jailed him as soon as him and that.. skink demon came through the portal..
* Hiei stands and leans toward Koenma.

Hiei- No, he wasn't.. Ryuji told me that the blast that killed her came from somewhere else.. That b---- Mukuro had him infiltrate that band of rogues because she got a tip off that they were after Yukina.. The group was notorious for..
Koenma- Demon smuggling.. Yes, I know. I've already interrogated the leader of the gang when he showed up here.
* Hiei straightens up and reaches out his hand toward Koenma who glances at it.
Koenma- What?
Hiei- Either give me the key to Ryu's cell or come open it yourself.
* Koenma stands and crosses his arms.
Koenma- I planned on releasing him to Mukuro when I go to cooberate..
Hiei- I'm her Second, aren't I? You can release him to me.. I just did the cooberating for her.
* Hiei heads toward the doorway. Koenma sighs and follows.
Koenma- Does she know that you call her that?
Hiei- Know? H---, she insists that we call her that.
