Hiei's Harem: Pt. 7 - Consequences

Scene 23 ------------- Inside The Hut


* Habataro and Coutaro both look up from the couch where they were discussing a village issue. Habataro's mate, Roqueyo, is busy straightening up the kitchen area of the good size room.


Habataro- Master Hiei,..

Hiei- We need to talk.


* Hiei glances toward Roqueyo when she starts to move toward the door.


Hiei- It's not necessary for you to leave, Woman.

Roqueyo- Yes. It is, M'Lord.. I need to go check on the cubs.


* She bobs her head politely to Hiei as she continues on out. Hiei shrugs and looks back toward the couch. Coutaro's eyes are obviously scoping Troiyoku out, but the Koorime ignores it for now. Habataro motions toward one of the two armchairs.


Habataro- Please, make yourself comfortable, Sir.


* Habataro then jabs Coutaro with an elbow as Hiei moves to the first chair. Troi follows to settle down on the floor beside Hiei's chair. The Koorime motions Kuma to sit in the other chair then looks back at Habataro.


Hiei- I had a visitor yesterday.


* Habataro casts a scowl toward Coutaro.


Habataro- I told you not to..!

Hiei- It wasn't him, d--- it.. Will you all calm down..?! I'll get to why I brought my sub along as soon as I get this out of the way.. My visitor was a Ninjini demon that works for me..

Kumataro- Ninjinis can get through most types of barriers.

Hiei- I know this. It's why I acquired the services of this one and his clan a long time ago.

Habataro- What's the problem then?

Hiei- What can you tell me about a demon named Dagon?


* The three brothers exchange glances, then Habataro shrugs.


Habataro- He's a trader. He's been travelling around in this region for most of his life.. He's a rogue actually, but not a harmful one. In fact, he's one d--- rich Crow from what I hear.

Hiei- So you've never dealt with him personally?

Kumataro- Our village is completely self-sufficient.. We've never had need of anything he peddles.

Hiei- And that would be?

Habataro- Whatever someone makes requests for.. He's been known to trade everything from slaves to clothes.

Coutaro- Why would you ask about him?

Hiei- It seems that I'm garnering a bit of attention around here.

Habataro- Word does travel fast in this region.. New alphas are always cause for concern..

Kumataro- Especially ones as strong as yourself.

Coutaro- Or from the outside.

Hiei- Whatever.. This.. Crow.. wants to meet with me.. Should I trust him?


* Again the three brothers look at each other. Then Hab shrugs.


Habataro- Like I said, he's always been harmless.

Kumataro- Word has it that Dagon can be pretty dangerous if you get on his bad side, though.

Coutaro- He's been known to place some kind of a kanji spell that can control other demons.

Hiei- My Ninjini already told me about this spell he uses. I have no fear of other demons' parlor tricks.

Habataro- Well, we've never had any personal contact with him. So I can't really tell you just how strong he actually is.

Coutaro- Have you agreed to this meeting?

Hiei- Hn. But I won't meet him until I've scouted him out.

Habataro- You wish us to accompany you to this meeting?

Hiei- That won't be necessary.

Kumataro- But it will show him that you're not alone.. That you have allies.


* Hiei nods thoughtfully. He's well-aware of how important such shows of alliances are when bargaining. He then glances down at Troiyoku and notices why the boy has remained so quiet. Coutaro also notices the attentions and their eyes become locked.


Hiei- I'll consider it.. D---, will you two go find a room, already? Your scents are distracting me.


* Troi looks up at Hiei guiltily.


Hiei- It's okay. I'm giving my permission. Return to the ravine when you're done, Troyo.


* Coutaro looks nervously at Habataro.


Habataro- Lord Hiei has given his permission. You can use my bed.


* Coutaro stands and motions Troiyoku to follow him.


Hiei- Try to keep the noise down. I know how you can be.


* Troi again glances down at Hiei blushing some, before disappearing through the curtain behind Coutaro. Kumataro looks at Hiei.


Kumataro- It's a rough time for young, unattached demons. Please forgive Cou, Sir.

Hiei- It's hard for any virile male to be unaffected by this time of the year.. I, myself, have found it a bit.. difficult to resist.. certain.. situations.


* Kumataro chuckles and Hiei looks toward him.


Kumataro- I bet your pack has been keeping you pretty busy.. How many mates do you have?

Habataro- Besides us, of course.


* Hiei avoids Kuma's question to look back at Habataro. The two Lynxs silence their amusement and glance at each other nervously.


Hiei- I didn't mark you three as my mates.


* Habataro and Kumataro both look back at Hiei quickly.


Hiei- Do you wish me to release you? I can do so anytme you want free.


* Habataro shrugs. Hiei senses the twinge of disappointment filter through his bond and hones his attention over to Kumataro.


Habataro- So far you've given us no reason to desire to be released.. When we're ready I'll let you know.. Fair enough?

Hiei- Hn.. I've been in the position of being nothing but a.. possession before.. I despised every minute of it.


* For several moments none of them speak. They all glance toward the bedroom when the heavy silence is broken by the quiet sounds of meshing passions that begins to waft from behind the curtain.


Habataro- It's not many alphas that would allow one of their mates to do.. that.. with another.

Kumataro- At least not for free, anyway.


* Hiei scowls toward Kuma again.


Hiei- I'm not a pimp, Cat.. So far I find no problem with your brother and my Boy being attracted to each other.. As you said, it's only a natural thing for us to feel such lusts during this time.

Habataro- You can trust Cou to conduct himself honorably.


* Hiei nods and looks toward Hab again.


Hiei- Hn.. And what about this one?


* Hiei tilts his head toward Kumataro. Hab hesitantly glances toward his younger brother. Kumataro clears his throat nervously and stands.


Kumataro- W-would you care for some.. tea.. or s-something, Master?


* Before getting an answer Kuma hurries over to the kitchen area to busy himself. Hiei looks back at Habataro.


Hiei- Alright. What's his story? I know he's not a virgin..


* Hiei watches Habataro look toward Kumataro a moment.


Habataro- He was mated to Cherese during their first heat cycle.. They loved each other from the moment they first met as cubs..

Hiei- Darieth's mother?

Kumataro- Hai.


* Kuma slowly turns the stove off, realizing that his ruse is unnecessary.


Habataro- She was the only mate he ever claimed.


* Kumataro turns and comes back into the common area, hands back in his pockets once more.


Kumataro- Cherese was my life, Sir.. I was faithful to her..

Habataro- It's a trait with some males of our species.

Kumataro- I just couldn't.. stomach being with.. anyone else.

Hiei- Then relax. I told you when I first marked you that I wasn't going to force any of you..

Kumataro- But it's not really fair to Hab and Cou to always be taken.


* Hiei looks back at the elder Lynx.


Hiei- Did you feel forced..?

Habataro- No.


* Hiei studies Habataro a moment, then stands.


Hiei- I'm going to go back now. I know Troyo will return when he's..

Habataro- Master, I..


* Hiei shakes his head and starts toward the main door. Kumataro lowers his eyes guiltily.


Hiei- Your village is doing what I require of it. That's pleasing enough for me.


* Hiei exits to find Roqueyo sitting on a carved log near the door. She looks up surprsed when the apparition comes out so soon.


Hiei- Did you find your kids?


* Roqueyo nods.


Hiei- Good.


* Hiei continues on his way.


Roqueyo- I wasn't spying, Sir.


* Hiei stops.


Roqueyo- I understand that there will be times that Hab will have to be with you.


* Hiei scowls then turns to look back at the pretty demoness.


Roqueyo- You're the Master.. You can have anyone in this village..

Hiei- And how the h--- can you be so.. understanding?


* Roqueyo shrugs.


Roqueyo- My Father and Grandfather were both alphas in this region.. My Father almost succeeded in becoming the Ultimate Alpha.. He was only a couple victories away from defeating all the others when a new alpha moved in and killed him.


* Something about her account niggles at Hiei a moment.


Hiei- And that new guy's name was..?

Roqueyo- Gamock.

Hiei- The old b------ I killed.

Roqueyo- Hai. Gamock was a lot younger then. Actually, I find this whole situation rather.. ironic.


* Kumataro and Habataro come out as Roqueyo speaks.


Hiei- So you think your complacency is required?


* Roqueyo quiets when Habataro lays a hand on her shoulder.


Habataro- Sometimes my wife tends to speak her mind too much, M'Lord. If you have an issue with her you will take it up with me.


* Hiei looks up at Habataro.


Hiei- She just informed me herself that if I wanted to.. do anything with her that you couldn't stop me.


* Habataro lowers his eyes, unable to dispute his Alpha's words. Hiei shakes his head.


Hiei- I may be an Alpha, but I'm not a tyrant.. If you need me I will come.. If I need something I will let you know.. But I have no intentions of ruining your lives.


* Before any of them can speak Hiei flits away.


Kumataro- D---, he's fast.

Habataro- Yeah.. I'm convinced now, more than ever, that I made the right decision in giving up to him.


* Roqueyo looks off after Hiei.


Roqueyo- He has what it takes to be the One.


* Habataro and Kumataro look at her. Roqueyo nods with a smile.


Roqueyo- The right Alpha to unite this region.

Kumataro- There's no doubt that he's strong enough.

Habataro- Hai.. But he doesn't have the desire to do so.

Roqueyo- Perhaps.. But some rush to their deaths, while others go blindly to their destiny.


* Roqueyo stands. She smiles at her mate and brother-in-law, then she moves between them to go into the hut. In a moment she comes back outside blushing.


Roqueyo- Who..?

Habataro- Cou.

Kumataro- And that Troiyoku boy.

Roqueyo- The one that belongs to..?

Habataro- Yep. Lord Hiei gave them permission.


* Roqueyo shakes her head in disbelief.


Roqueyo- Odd one indeed, this alpha.


* The brothers both nod, then Kumataro mozies off toward his own hut.
