Scene 22
Okay, Tachi. In going through my paperwork here I think I've found the perfect character to put your name on. It probably won't show in the next sequel, but in the one after it. Good things, like fine wine, take time. (Here's the old ketchup commercial song echoing in my head "Anticipation" lol). Now, I don't want any of my other reviewers to feel snubbed or anything, it's not that I'm playing favorites or anything like that. Something about the name just clicked with me. This is the first time I've ever inserted a reviewer's name into my work, so I'm a little nervous about it, but I hope that it will work out and I won't make any enemies. All of my reviewers are precious to me (gives out cookies and group hugsies).

Scene 22 ------------ The West Wall Cave
* Following his nose, Habataro has tracked Hiei to this smaller cave. The Lynx hesitantly enters and proceeds down the earthen corridor cautiously. When he reaches the entrance to the inner chamber he studies the small, dark form inside. To show that he means no form of aggression whatsoever, Habataro sinks to a completely bowed position. He remains this way for several minutes before Hiei recognizes him, and the fact that he's not going to go away.
Hiei- Go away, cat.
Habataro- I won't do that, Master.
* Habataro raises his eyes to meet Hiei's dull red ones.
Habataro- You came to help me during my time of distress not too long ago.
Hiei- Your mate lived.
* Habataro sighs deeply.
Habataro- When it is a demon's time to go, they go.
* Hiei looks away again.
Habataro- Did the baby..?
Hiei- Hn.. Looks just like me.
Habataro- I lost my son.
* After a moment Hiei looks back at Habataro. He remains quiet as the Lynx makes his way over closer to Hiei carefully.
Habataro- I know that.. emotions are hard for you to.. express.. But I know how much you must be hurting inside.. Please, allow me to comfort you as much as I can, sir.
* Hiei looks away again, but says nothing as Habataro gently positions himself behind his Alpha.
Habataro- Do you trust me, sir?
* Hiei closes his eyes.
Hiei(Quietly)- Hn.
* Hab nods and allows himself to relax. Hiei stiffens at first when Habataro embraces him gently. It isn't long until Hiei begins to let down his guard and allows the Lynx to actually feel his anger and sadness. Habataro tightens his embrace slightly and begins to purr comfortingly to his Alpha.
