LOL, POH, stay tuned. But I'm not giving anything away too soon. :o)

Scene 22 ------------- Habataro's Village
* As Hiei and Troiyoku move through the village toward the main huts, the path is becoming familiar to the apparition. But this time Hiei takes his time to look around the now-established settlement. He pauses when he finds himself comparing this village, that now protects his new home, to Human World and the town that he once considered his home. Troiyoku tilts his head to study Hiei curiously when he feels the slight twinge of an odd feeling to come from his Alpha: Sadness. Hiei snaps out of his reminiscing of Yukina when he notices Troi's attention. Before he can say anything it is another voice that grabs his attention.
Darieth- Lord Hiei.
* Hiei turns to look at the approaching female. He quickly recognizes her as the one he saved from that rogue lizard demon. She reaches him and bows.
Darieth- It's good to see you again, Master.
Hiei- Hn.. How are you doing?
Darieth- We..
* She pats her belly, that's even larger than the last time he seen her.
Darieth- Are doing fine.
* Hiei motions for her to join him as they continue on their way toward the three huts.
Hiei- That's good to hear.
* He notices her checking Troiyoku out.
Darieth- Umm, you must be Troiyoku.
* Troiyoku looks at her.
Troiyoku- You know me?
Darieth- My Uncle Cou hasn't stopped talking about you. I think that he's..
* The young demoness catches herself and looks at Hiei again.
Darieth- Oh.. M-maybe I shouldn't have..
Hiei- Relax, Girl. I already know of their attraction to each other.
* Hiei glances up at Troiyoku.
Hiei- this is Coutaro's niece.. She's the one I rescued from that rogue.
Troiyoku- Oh. Hello.
Darieth- My baby and I owe our lives to Master Hiei.. I hope I didn't get Uncle Cou in trouble..
Hiei- No, you didn't..
Kumataro- Darieth, are you bothering Lord Hiei?
* They all stop and turn to look toward Kuma as he approaches from a side road. He places an arm across his daughter's shoulders.
Darieth- I hope not, Papa. I was just thanking him again.
Kumataro- Okay, Sweetie. But you have chores to get back to.
Darieth- Yes, Sir.
* Kumataro looks back down at Hiei as Darieth hurries off.
Kumataro- My daughter can be impetuous.
Hiei- She wasn't disturbing me.
* The tawny-skinned Lynx sniffs toward Troiyoku.
Kumataro- This must be Troiyoku.
Hiei- Hn.
* Kumataro lowers his eyes checking the younger male out and notices his slight bulge.
Kumataro- I hope this is yours that he's carrying.
Hiei- It is.. not Coutaro's doing.
Kumataro- Congratulations.
Hiei- I've come to meet with the three of you about another matter.
Kumataro- Hab and Cou are in Hab's hut. I was just on my way to see them, too.
* The three continue on toward the centermost area of the village. There is only a short pause when they come up on argument. Kumataro moves aside to settle the dispute between a couple underlings. When the two go their seperate ways Kuma chuckles.
Kumataro- Those two are going to either kill each other or end up mating.
* He glances down at Hiei as they continue on their way.
Kumataro- They've squabbled like this for the past couple springs.
Hiei- Why not just order them to mate and be done with it?
Kumataro- Nah. That's not how we run things around here.. We don't interfere in our subordinate's lives.. They live here because they want to, not because we own them.
* Kumataro pauses to look back down at Hiei just before they reach Habataro's hut.
Kumataro- That statement has no reflection on..
Hiei- Hn.
* The Koorime rolls his eyes.
Kumataro- Seriously. We're okay with..
Hiei- Shut the h--- up and stop grovelling, already.. It's pathetic, Cat.
* Kumataro looks at Troi nervously when Hiei pushes past him to continue on into Habataro's hut. The younger Fire hybrid shrugs and continues on inside, also. Kumataro sighs then pockets his hands and follows them inside.
