Scene 22 ------------------------------------------- Demon World

* When Hiei wakes up again a couple hours later he feels a gentle touch swabbing one of his cheeks with a cool rag. He opens his eyes and looks up into big, gentle matching eyes. He recognizes them immediately.


Hiei- Y-Yu-kina,..?

Yukina- Easy, brother.. We're not hurt.. You were just..

Hiei- Gassed. I know.


* Hiei stands, ignores a brief spell of dizziness, and moves to the shield of plexiglass. It doesn't take him long to realize that the room beyond is a different one than before. Yukina stands to watch him.


Yukina- Please, you mustn't move so quickly..

Hiei- I'm fine.. We need to get out of here.. He's moved us.

Yukina- Yes.. He used us to capture you.


* Hiei half glances toward her as he begins to pace.


Hiei- How he caught me doesn't matter.


* Yukina raises one of her hands to nibble on a knuckle. Hiei feels her guilt through their sibling bond. Before he can turn to set her at ease any further Garuyun enters. He strides over to look in at the pair of koorimes calmly.


Garuyun- Ahh, it's good to see both of my pets awake, finally.


* Hiei snarls. Garuyun motions toward another plexiglass cell across the aisle.


Garuyun- Put the little halfbreed in that one.


* Yukina moves forward as a large, mean-looking, multi-armed demon carries Kasaba over to the other cell and shoves him through the plexiglass. The demon then taps a panel near the cell with one of his arms as he leaves. The plexiglass shield pulses with a brief flash showing that it has been activated. Hiei glares back up at Garuyun.


Hiei- You harm that boy and you are a dead man.


* Garuyun looks back down at Hiei.


Garuyun- My, my, you are a violent one..

Hiei- You obviously have no idea.. What do you want from us?

Garuyun- Do you realize that you and this lovely maiden are the only koorimes left in Demon World?


* Hiei half glances toward Yukina.


Hiei- Does your adled brain realize that we are..


* Hiei hesitates a moment, then decides he has no other choice but to continue.


Hiei- Twins?


* Yukina glances at Hiei surprisingly unperturbed by the 'news'. Hiei lowers his eyes. This is one of the few times he's actually admitted this openly, but definately the first time he's ever done so in her presence.


Garuyun- We both know that this doesn't matter with demons.. Have you been hiding away in those other worlds so long that your demon natures have been ruined?

Hiei- My demon nature is fully intact! Let me out of here and I will prove that!!

Garuyun- Good.. Then we'll see some results from my efforts here.

Hiei- I told you before.. I already have a mate..

Garuyun- I've heard the rumors from Mukuro's territory concerning your.. mate.. Besides, you and she are of fire demon heritage..


* Now Yukina looks back up at Garuyun.


Yukina- I'm an ice..

Garuyun- You resemble your ice heritage because you were the secondborn and a female.. Do I need to give you two a biology lesson in demon reproduction?


* Garuyun chuckles with amusement but Hiei growls again and moves away. Yukina catches a noseful of her brother's scent as he passes her. Garuyun smiles as she looks back up at him wide-eyed.


Garuyun- It's a beautiful scent.. isn't it, Precious?


* Hiei turns to look at Garuyun again. He half notices Yukina's blush before she turns to move away.


Hiei- You claim to be so smart.. What part of this aren't you getting?

Garuyun- The part about why you should hesitate.. Don't you want to preserve your species?

Hiei- My species?

Garuyun- This is what I do, Lord Hiei.. I search Demon World for endangered species.. I do what I can to keep them around, especially the helpful ones.. You two are the only pure, such as it is, koorimes left in all the three worlds..


* Garuyun glances toward Kasaba's cell. The boy is just sitting quietly in a corner, observing everything.


Garuyun- Well, the only two completely untainted.

Hiei- You're just out of luck, then, idiot. I'm not going to rape my sister.


* Garuyun looks back down at Hiei, the grin that is really starting to irritate Hiei back in place.


Garuyun- It's never rape when two consenting adults.. procreate.. willingly. (Chuckles) You're in heat, my little stud.. The longer you resist your instincts, the more feral you will become.. If you don't take her by the end of the week.. when you will begin to enter your High Heat stage.. it will truly be rape.. And you, Precious..


* Garuyun turns his attention to Yukina.


Garuyun- Do you really want to watch your dear brother go feral?


* Yukina hesitantly looks worriedly at Hiei.


Garuyun- I'm merely presenting the two of you with a perfect opportunity to create new koorimes..

Hiei- You're insane!

Garuyun- (Shrugs) Think what you like.. Your species will be re-populated.. And your mating to that.. vegetable Banshee.. will be left intact. Don't you see? It's fire demon law that.. relations between family...

Hiei- I know that law, d--- it!!

Garuyun- Then we have no problems.. There's no escaping this, my pet.

Hiei- I've escaped worse.. When I get out of here I will slit your throat..

Garuyun- I understand that you've been abused in the past.. I've done my research well.. There will be no abuse here.. Both of you will be fed well, taken very good care of.. Only violence against myself or your handlers will be disciplined, of course. But that is to be expected, wouldn't you agree? I'll go now and allow the two of you some privacy. We're not perverted voyuers here, after all.


* Garuyun turns away chuckling. Then pauses to look back at Hiei.


Garuyun- One last thing.. Through all of the abuse.. and mishandling you've been through, Lord Hiei.. I know that you have gained the experience to take your sister properly.. To show her pleasures she's never known before..


* Garuyun purses his lips toward them.


Garuyun- Have fun now, my pets.

Yukina- Wait!


* Yukina hurries closer to the plexiglass.


Yukina- What are you going to do with Kasaba?


* Garuyun glances toward the quiet boy.


Garuyun- As I stated, I'm not an abusive man.. The boy will be taken good care of as well.


* With that, Garuyun leaves. Yukina looks toward Kasaba a moment, then turns to look at Hiei timidly.


Yukina- (Quietly) He is correct, you know.. It won't violate your mating with..

Hiei- But it will violate you.. Just stay over there and ignore me.. I refuse to cave in to that.. cretin.


* Yukina hesitantly turns away to go sit on the low, modern-type bed that's obviously crafted to accomodate their stature.


Kasaba- That short, dark guy looks.. familiar.


* Being the first time Hiei's actually heard the boy speak, it sends chills through him. Yukina watches Hiei look toward Kasaba.


Yukina- (Quietly) I know.. He sounds just like him.


* Kasaba stands and moves up closer to his plexiglass shield. He tilts his head as he studies Hiei.


Kasaba- What's your name, Mister?

Hiei- M-mister..?


* Hiei swallows and turns away. He moves to lean against the back wall of their cell as memories of Sabaktu, and this grandchild he once breastfed, crash through his mind. Kasaba somehow senses that he's upset Hiei and moves back to sit down in the corner again.


Kasaba- (Quietly) I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to make you mad, Mister.


* Yukina sighs and looks toward Kasaba.


Yukina- It's not your fault, Sabie.

Hiei- Stop calling him that!

Yukina- It's what Shizuru called him..


* Kasaba lowers his eyes.


Kasaba- She's way up in the top world now.


* Hiei half turns to glance at him, then looks at Yukina.


Yukina- Shizuru said he.. knows things.. He senses things just like..

Hiei- Don't say it!


* Hiei moves to the farthest corner of their enclosure and slides down to sit with his back planted securely where the stone wall and the plexiglass meet until he feels the shield begin to drain his energy. He snarls and moves a bit until he's no longer in contact with the plexiglass.
