Scene 21 ---------- Staci’s Bedroom
* When Kuwabara enters the young girl is sobbing uncontrollably in Yukina’s arms. Yukina casts an angry glance toward him.
Kuwabara- Staci, I’m sorry.. I just lose my temper when it comes to that little..
Staci- He doesn’t love me.. I know he doesn’t.. I know that I shouldn’t..
Yukina- It’s just the pregnancy, Staci. Please try to calm down.
* Staci shakes her head and lifts a hand to lay on the tiny, faded dragon-shaped mark on her neck.
Staci- I.. thought this was.. just a tattoo that I.. forgot about getting.. But it’s his.. mark? He marked me? But he doesn’t.. want to.. keep me.
Yukina- Staci, it’s just.. a demon thing.. Enough now, you’re stressing the baby.. You have to calm down.
* Kuwabara and Yukina look up when Koenma hurries into the room. He jackslaps the back of Kuwabara's head as he passes him.
Koenma- I just happened to be monitoring their visit.
* The Teen continues over and touches Staci’s forehead. It only takes a small amount of his energy to overwhelm her to unconsciousness. Yukina then situates her on the bed as Koenma straightens up.
Kuwabara- These spells are getting worse.
Koenma- Well, overhearing your callous words didn’t help any, Kuwabara.
* Koenma watches the burly redhead’s shoulders slump.
Kuwabara- I’m just the stupid Human caught in the middle of this whole mess.
* Yukina sighs, then stands and moves to wrap her arms around Kuwabara.
Koenma- The spells are getting worse because Hiei hasn’t been around to see her.. The baby’s starving for some of his energy.
Yukina- I feed her some of mine now and then.
Koenma- You know that she’ll need more of his as she grows closer to giving birth. If that stubborn apparition don’t clear out his brain and show up pretty soon this baby will be born with a deep.. resentment..
* Yukina gasps and looks up at the Prince. Understanding dawns on two of the four occupants in the room.
Yukina- He’ll be driven by the need to.. find Hiei and..
* Yukina covers her mouth. Kuwabara just looks confusedly between the two.
Kuwabara- And what?
Koenma- You explain it to him, Yukina.. I’m going to go see Hiei again.
Yukina- I would say that he doesn’t know, but he must since he.. favors his Fire heritage more than I do.
Koenma- If he don’t know I’m going to make sure that he does now.
* Koenma leaves to return to his portal in the livingroom.
