She couldn’t sleep that night, this couldn’t be right; something like this would never happen, to some one like her. How could it have serviced, it had almost been a month; since her first mateing with Hiei. “Hiei,” She called the sleeping demon, laying next to her. “Hn” he answered sleepily. “Wake up,” the fire demon was fighting against her request “maybe it’s better if he doesn’t know” she said as she stood. She walked to the bathroom. Now more observant; of her body. Her stomach was slightly puffy and her nipple was slowly hardening.

She looked into the mirror, “I can’t keep it.” she attempted to reassure her self. “We’d be horrible parents anyway.” She looked down to it. “I will contact the fox demon; he should have poison for this.” she thought to herself, she drew her self a hot bath, as she then sat in it. For some reason, baths always helped her.

Hiei had been awoken by his mate. But by the time he was awake, he heard bat water. He blinked a couple times, as he looked out the window; dawn hasn’t even broken. He could hear Mukuro, singing her lullaby. Never really understood langue, she spoke. She was several hundred years older; than him self. Her knowledge was far grater than his. He stood, he himself; Decide not to dress as well. He opened the door, stopping her song as she looked to him. The bathroom was steaming. “What did you want?” he asked. “I can’t sleep,” she said. As she slid father; into the bath tub. “Liar,” he said coldly; as he slipped into the tub himself.

“Think what ever you please,” she said. As she relaxed; Hiei reached over turning, the water hotter. “Hiei,” she scolded him; “Not hot enough,” he replied, sitting down again. “Damn fire demon,” she growled teasingly. “Your body isn’t healed, is it?” Hiei attempted, to start a conversation. It was really the only way, to get him to talk. “I am fine, “she growled; “Stop worrying about me.” “Don’t die,” is all he said. As he began; to wash his body. She could at least, enjoy that view.

Kurama walked back to the room, some what defeated. He hadn’t accplished anything; that he set out to do. As he closed, and locked the door; that separated there little wing. from the rest of demon world, he looked down; to see Kekio in the kitchen. “What are you doing up?” he asked. She was in her pajamas, and hair in a pony tail. “Do you know where Yuskue went?” she asked. As she poured herself, a glass of water. Offering him one, the spirit fox nodded; thanking her for the glass. “Yes, he went to his ancestors land. He is going to rescuer, as many men as possible; for us to win this war quickly.”

“Why dose he have to get involved in these things.” Her voice cracking, holding back tears. “He is a very intelligent, “lucky;” he thought in is head. “Man and he is need in demon world. I know how you crave, to have a normal life. But you must learn; that Yusuke is not normal. And to love him, you have to love his responsibilities as well” she nodded, as she looked down; into her glass of water. “It feels so strange, staying here. And were stuck in this small place; until it is over. Could be over, it could be months or years!” she began to raise her voice, as Kurama took her hand. “calm down Kekio. No need, to wake up the others.”

She blushed, at her outburst. Kurama was a wise man, and it was easy to talk to him. “Mukuro is being very generous.” He said, “She is taking all of you; in her fortress, “She eats humans!” Kekio interrupted. This brought Kurama’s speech, to a halt. “Where did you hear this?” “Yuskue,” “that boy; needs to chose his words more wisely.” He thought to himself. “Yes, but that was over 200 years ago. She has not had one since.” He promised, the human woman. “200 years ago?!” Her eyes widened, “Yes Mukuro; is a wise old demon. I am not aware, of how old she is. But it is impolite, to ask a lady her age”

“They spoke for sometime; Kurama was begging to feel tired. He placed his hand on Kekio’s, “You must get some rest. You have had a long day; I myself, am retiring for the day as well. He smiled, as he put the glass in the sink; and walked back the large room. at the end of the hall, He opened the door quietly, as Kuwabara was sound asleep. On the twin bed, And Emilia; was asleep on the right side of the larger bed. Kurama quickly, slipped in to his pajamas. Wearing long white pajama pants, and a button up shirt. He slipped in beside her. It had been some time, since he had laid in bed with a woman. And the thought of her body, next to his made him; begin to feel uncountable. She smelt of lilacs, and he shook his head; he turned on to his side. And prayed to the gods, that he woke up before she did.

Shura had been late coming to the chambers, he was to stubborn to ask a guard; so he wandered around. He sniffed for his fathers sent, finally realizing his location. He opened the door. As he looked the room was, his father was in the bathroom. He noticed, this was a previous used room. He could smell the demon; that used it before they did. He also noticed that it was one large bed. This meant, he would have to share a bed with his father. “Uhh,” he dreaded this. He slipped his shoes off, and striped down to his under pants. he reached grabbing a towel, that was in a pile out side the door. he leaned against the door, waiting for his father to finish.

“Your late Shura,” he said; though the bathroom wall. “I couldn’t find where you were at.” He said, as he began tapping on the wall; He knew this drove his father crazy. Would make him hurry. Yomi ignored this, He knew his son wouldn’t ask; he sighed as he had finished washing his hair, he rinsed his hair out; there hadn’t been much hot water left. He was aware, that Mukuro and Hiei; were bathing with each other .And he would wait, for it to come back; before cleaning the rest of his body. Was he meant to stay alone? He knew he was lucky enough, to have Shura; and appreciated the annoying child. He is simply a mere image of him. So it was easy to predict, what he was doing. It had been a very long time, since he had been with some one; in that matter. He would admit, that when he was younger, he admired Yoko Kurama He was a strong giving leader.

he found himself, attempting to be like the fox. He would admit, if were to have the chance; he would clamed the famous fox demon. As his mate, He began to wash his body; washing down, he noticed; that he was becoming aroused. By the though, of the famous thief and sighed. “Not in font of the boy,” he said to himself. as he ignored it thinking of something beside the fox. He continued to wash the rest of his body, as he then heard his offspring whining again. “Patient; Shura,” he rinsed off his body; as he stepped out. Drying himself, as he slipped on a pair of his pajama pants; and threw his towel and outfit into the dirty Landry shoot. He opened the door, and luckily dogging the pre teen, as he clamed the bathroom. Yomi laughed, as he heard the door lock. He walked over, choosing the right side of the bed.

“Other people are trying to bath,” Mukuro said; as she looked at the fire demon. “So,” he looked back; to her as they sat in new hot water. She sighed, rolling here eyes. “Hiei can you tell, where the energy; is feeding from?” she asked, hoping he would figure it on his own. “Yes, mostly your torso” he said; “doesn’t that seam strange?” she asked. “When the attacks, where at my upper body” she attempted, to make the apparition think. “Dose this mean your?” he was intruded, when a demon knocked on the door “My lady, excuse my interruption; but King Enki is at our door!” both there eyes widened, as the slipped out of the tub, drying them self off. Hiei made sure the guard was, gone before they quickly dressed.

They walked down the stairs; Enki and his wife Kukuo. were in the entrance way; of the fortress. “Enki sir,” Mukuro said. As the loud, red demon laughed. “Good morning, Mukuro and Hiei;” he laughed. “Morning,” She said confused. “Your probably wondering, why I am here. Well, a nice little story; that goes a long with this.” We were tacked, by a large swarm of demons. We kicked some serious ass; but it was the 3rd swarm’s was running out my booze,” Kukuo interrupted. “Grate,” Mukuro though. “More people, for the fortress.” “you are seeking shelter?” she asked. “If you have any room!” he laughed. “there is room for you.” She said, you can send your men, to wing 101, and 102 is open if need. “But I am to warn you now.” She said “There are humans, in wing 103; and if any of them are injured. There will be a price to pay.” Hiei; intruded Mukuro.


“Enki nodded, yes mama.” He called forth; his head commander, and gave the orders. “She looked towards Kirin, who had been stood beside them. “Do you mind, sharing a room with Shurige; for a while until; the construction is done. “Anything for you my lady.” he said, as he bowed. “I will show you, to your room.” he spoke, as he looked toward the king. “You go on a head sweetheart; I have to speak with Mukuro.” Sure what ever;” she said s she followed the demon. “It must be nice to finally home huh?” he attempted to make small talk with Mukuro. He was always looking for a nice conversation. “Yes,” she stated back she would have been more that happy to continue toe conversation but wasn’t in the mood. “Oh yes,” he said. Apologizing for his leaning off topic; “I can since that you have Yomi, in your home. Along with the spirit fox Kurama. If we can Waite in the morning I would like to call a conference to find away to protect the fortress. We are now a main target. And I would like to have us all safe. “She nodded as she agreed.”

“It will begin, at sun rise.” She said, he nodded. “Very well,” he nodded as he followed Kukuo and Kirin who still in site “Pleasant dreams” he called to her. “The same to you king” she sighed. “And they keep coming,” She said to Hiei. as they walked up stairs; back to her chambers. “Let’s spar,” Hiei said. Bring her attention, from her thoughts to him. “Now?” she asked, confused. “I can’t sleep,” he replied. “I’ll go stick you outside; and when you fill your share, killing any demons you want.” she teased. “Not the same,” he said; as the walked to the door, opening it and Mukuro stepped in. “not to night Hiei,” Hiei looked, as if he was pouting. “Why don’t you go visit yukina, or something? You can’t spar with the fox, he is a sleep.” She said, as she took the words; out of his mouth. She still, stood at the door. “Yes, so you can be weak; and be beaten by your brother.” Her eyes flamed, as she grabbed the unspecting apparition; and slammed in into the wall.” “I seem to be the only one, fighting him” she said back. As she backed up, from the man as he fell.

He stood again, as he attempted to hit her. She blocked the attack, with her right arm; and with her left and grabbed his member. Stunning the demon, “I know one way, that will put you to sleep” she said, with a smirk. “Hn.” was all he said, as he attempted to get way. She could feel his member, was already becoming hard. She then dogged his attack, as attempted to hit her. He grabbed, his katana; as he began slashing at the woman. She looked down, as her cloths ripped in to pieces. With one swing; shirt fell, of and with another her pants, were slowly coming off. “Cheater,” she teased. as he then pushed her onto the bed.

He had been attempting; to figure out, why her body was feeding off his Youki. She seemed to be fine, But she was hiding; something from him. He could tell, because she wouldn’t look into his eyes. And after a horrible comment, that he had made. she would have spared. He pined her arms, above her head; with one arm. as he leaned forward, to kiss her. He felt his youki, being leached onto. He lay there, for a moment as he looked into Mukuro’s eyes; as his widened. “Your with child” she nodded he couldn’t believe it she would keep something like this away from him. He released his hold as he stood up breaking the ties between him and the child. “How long have you been hiding this” he growled.

“I myself have just recently; found out.” She said; he figured that is what she was attempting to tell him, in the bathroom. He stood up, as she sat up. “I’m going to Kurama, in the morning; to get a poison called erithmacal.” he raised is brow, “it will terminate, the pregnancy.” She said, “Unless, you want to keep it.” “Do with it, as you please” he said, in a cold voice. He opened the window, and dispersed into the forest.

To be hit with something like this, in the middle; of all the other problems. They were encountering, she was with child. Is what repeated, though his head. He never thought, it could happen to him. They weren’t the parent material. Both of them, raising themselves. How would they tend to a creature, that can’t fend for its own? It would only slow them down. He thought, as he walked out into a camp of demons; that would most likely; planed on raiding; the fortress in the morning. He could tell by there power level, that they would be an easy match. His mind was in other places, as he sliced; and killed the demon pack.

He fed this think his energy, think it was Mukuro. Worried; that she was dieing, and not telling him. He thought, as he cut the head off two demons; but then again. He thought. This was another being, what would have happened, if his mother would have terminated him. He shook his head again, as he then was hit in the back; by the blade of the learder. He turned around, attempting to attack the man. They put up a good fight; he could never defend it, the way it needs to be. This would be a horrible setting, for a child to grow up.
He made up his mind, as he fought with the demon.

He now realized coming, out of his anger he was loosening the fight; against this demon. He was strong, and made Hiei think about his next attack plan. He hid up in the tree, as he attempted to catch his breath. He then came down, behind the demon; the demon turned around. When he felt the dark energy; around the fire apparition. “Dragon of the darkness flame” he screamed. as the tattoo of the dragon, dissapred off his arm; and into action. it grew as Hiei forced it, to the larger demon. The demon was in shock, as it was taken by the dragon. a huge whole was formed, I the middle of the forest; as the trees collided in. covering, it along with the burnt mark of his foe.

“You still got it, after all these years Hiei.” Yuskue laughed, as he and his father’s fighters, followed behind him. There were only, the four of them. “Hn, glad you think so.” he said, as he leaned against the tree. “And I’ll kick your ass, any time any where” Hiei said, as he began to close his eyes. “Well not today buddy. He said. as Hiei slid down the tree, and fell asleep. The large spirit beast Puu, picked up the small demon; and placed him on his back. “That’s Hiei for you,”Yusuke laughed, they walked back to the fortress.


He placed Puu back into the large room, where Mukuro; use to store her vehicles. It was well furnished, and Yukina; found blankets. to lay down, so the large bird had a place to sleep. Yusuke, took the sleeping male; off of Puu’s and placed him on to his. “alright guys;” he said to the men, following behind him. as he open the door. leading them into the large place. The all admidly, smelt the aroma of humans, “The smell,” one of the said. As Yusukue; looked back with a glare. ‘ I have no where else, to put you. And if you attempt, to lay a hand on any my human friends. I will kill you all, with out a second thought.” When he threatened; them the angered look of Rizen, came upon his face. They were frightened, as they nodded. “Yes my lord.” He laid Hiei, on the couch and slipped off his shoes. The men began to meditate; as Yusukue left.

It had become dawn, and Hiei’s body woke him up. He was use taking his turn; as scout. He sat up; as he looked to see the monks; from Yusuke’s fathers land meditating. He stood up, He walked down the hallway; to the fox’s room. He was aware, that he was sharing a room, with the human baka. And his supposed, female companion. He didn’t bother to nock, as he walked in. Kuwabara; was spread out across the small bed. He had been wearing; shorts and a t-shirt. He mumbled, in his sleep. “How pathetic,” he thought as he looked, to see the human female. she was still laying on her back. And the fox was a sleep on his side. He walked over to him, and shook him lightly. “Kurama” He growled.

The sleeping fox demon was hard to wake up. Did admit; he had a fear of wakening, up the sleeping demon. That the dreaded day, would repeat it’s self. “Kurama!” he said, a little louder. The demon opened his eyes, blinking a bit to see Hiei; staring down at him. at first, this took him off guard. He sat up quickly. “huh?” he said, now fully awake. “ What is it Hiei?” Hiei wasted no time. “Mukuro is with child,” he said. This threw the fox, into a loop as he stared at him dumbfounded.


“What?!” he whispered loudly, still in shock. “you heard me fox, she told me a few hours ago.” “Why do you smell of demon blood?” he asked. as he kicked off the covers. “I’m not happy about it.” he said, as he stood back. letting the demon stand; “I can tell. the fox still in shock, about what he was told. “I’ll be out in a moment,” He said. As he walked over grabbing his robe.


Hiei met him in the hallway; they walked to the kitchen. Attempting to get more privacy, away from the meditating monks. “And you killed demons, to get rid of anger.” Kurama started there conversation, as he put some coffee on. He was surprised, and pleased that Mukuro’s men had gotten them; everything they requited to be comfortable. The amount they had, would last them months. “I need a bottle of erithmacal.” He said. as he looked to the fox demon. “Hiei; why are you asking for this? Are you sure, Mukuro feels the same about this.” “Hn,” he said. There is no need, to jump to this. Your just getting cold feet.” He couldn’t believe; that he was talking to Hiei, about pregnancy. This shocked him, just as much as it did them.

“She’ll die after birth.” he said, as his watch Kurama, get two coffee cups; out of the cabinet. He raised his brow “And how so,” “You should know best fox; you’ve mated before.” Kurama; placed a cup in front of the demon. “I never stayed around, for the birth Hiei. Most demons’ separate, after the mateing” he had a point, Hiei thought. But he had lived though many mateing seasons. He remembered the first year, he lived though it. he was interested, as he followed though; he watched the mateing process. The male demon stayed, until he was sure; she was pregnant. The demon then stayed in hiding; and would become weak. A few weeks later, she gave birth; and died. As her young left, He didn’t want this to happen, to Mukuro. He would kill it, before it would her.

Sometimes Kurama could read Hiei like a book, knowing what he was thinking’ and the demon sat beside him, as he laughed. “This wont be like most mateing, you see in the lower class demons Hiei. Mukuro is an S class demon, and will be weaken by it at first. But if you help feed the fetus; your youki as well, it will take less stress of the mother. and bond you closer to it.” he looked less disgusted, as the fire apportion sipped his coffee. “I still want the erithmacal,” he said coldly. “Before I give it to you, I’d like to speak with Mukuro first.” He said the fire demon finished his hot cup of coffee as if it were water. The fox ;still attempting to cool it off.

“Hiei, think about this before you go.” He said. “It might be an trouble now, but think of what a child can bring. It can be a heir to your and Mukuro’s fortune. And if that doesn’t help. Remember Hiei, Yomi and Rizen had children for a reason. The fire demon looked back, to the fox as he walked out of the doors.

“I’d thought, he act like this.” Mukuro said, as she walked out of the shadows. “His emotions, to high to realize I was here” Kurama had nodded, as he had noticed her when he walked out of his room. She sat beside Kurama, He attempted to offer her coffee; but she declined. “No thank you,” she said, as she looked down, “Hiei is right, I am not a fit mother; and it’s better off dead.” she said, He could tell, there was something missing in her eyes. Did she secretly want the child? “I’m not growing any younger. I’m over 700 years old,” she confessed to the fox. “Out living most of my kind. “It wouldn’t be such a bad idea, to have a heir. And to keep Hiei Company; when I pass on.” The fox nodded, “He is interested, in your health” he said. “We are both new, to this mateing business.”

She looked at him; “I’d like the bottle, of erithmacal.” she saw the look of dissepiments; in the foxes eyes. “I will discuses this, with Hiei before it is final. but I do apreate your words, and will take them into consideration. Thank you Kurama” she said. as she stood up, she waited against the table. as she watched the fox, walk into his room; he came out of the room. With a little purple vile, “please think this though.” She nodded. as she took the vile.

“I am also here, to tell you that your presents is requested; we are having a meeting. in a hour to disuse, what our security plans will be. As you are a ware now, Enki and is wife are upstairs. We are be coming, a large target. And your wisdom, can be greatly used. Kurama nodded.” see you then,” he said to the dissapring figure. As he walked back to his room, he looked to see that Emilia; was awake she rubbed her eyes, her hair was all messed up. as she looked to the demon “Shuichi” where am I”

That’s chapter 21, wow I cant believe it. So much is going to happen, in the next chapters; my brains are going to explode. Okay maybe not explode; but I’ve been waiting for this part for some time now I’m so exited I hope you continue to read!
