Yusuke frowned a bit and gave Karama his full attention, as did Kuwabara, Botan and Genkai. Yusuke tried to think if he had ever heard Hiei mention someone named Kaletta. He couldn't recall it. "Who is Kaletta?"

Karama sighed, this was not really his piece to tell. "She was his wife, she was lost to him awhile back. That is all he told me." He observed the stunned faces of the people in front of him. "Don't let it on that you know. He was reluctant to tell me of her. In fact that is all he did tell me. Didn't say how she became lost to him, if she is still out there, nothing. Not very odd, considering it is Hiei."

Yusuke nodded, and grinned "Well, it would seem he has feelings after all. Was beginning to wonder about that." Kuwabara grinned widely "Yeah, then he will know what it is like to be in love, the way I am with Yukina." The others in the room burst into laughter at this, as only Kuwabara did not know that Yukina and Hiei are siblings, other then Yukina herself. t?" t?" Kuwabara wondered why it always felt he was the butt of their jokes sometimes.

A small knock echo'd through the room. All turned to look at the door, still open from Genkai and Karama's entrance. A tall woman stood in the doorway. Her black hair hung frizzy around her face, pulled into a haphazard ponytail. She wore nicely tailored clothing. She emitted a nice vibe and aura, but was not the most pretty of women. One would guess her to be about 34 in age. Genkai looked at the woman. "Ahhh, Shaleeza Hintoro, i presume."

Shaleeza nodded "Yes, I'm sorry if I am interrupting anything, I fear I am a few minutes early for our meeting, Master Genkai." Genkai gave a small smirk "No, I do appreciate people who are on time. Come on in child, don't stand out in the cool air."

Shaleeza and her eyes took in the others in the room before returning to Genkai. She hoped she wouldn't have to tell of her dreams in the presence of others. The young man with pink hair was studying her curiously as was Genkai. The young man spoke first, "You have alot of spirit energy, ma'am." Genkai nodded to him "Yes, Kurama, I was feeling that too." She took in Shaleeza's confused face and eyes. "You do not know what that is, that is fine. Some people are content to stay away from their special powers and live their lives as normal as possible. Your sensativity is probably what is causing your dreams though..." Genkai's voice faded as she regarded Shal some more. A young woman with blue hair, wearing an old fashioned kimono spoke up from the corner, having not been noticed before this. "You also have an old soul. That would explain the dreams and your raised spirit energy."

Shaleeza shifted from one foot to the other, a bit uncomfortable at this attention. This is why I am an author. I can hide behind my computer, doing my stories. Not having to put up with people studying me, she thought to herself.

Genkai pointed to a spot on the floor and beckoned Shal to sit. Shaleeza sat cautiously and looked to the psychic as she also sat. "Tell me about your dreams and we will see what we can do about clearing them for you if you want." Shaleeza nodded, gave a covert glance at the others in the room and then took a moment to collect her thoughts before beginning.

"Every night I dream the same thing. I am standing in a field. I do not see myself, but it feels as if I am not in my body, or at least not in this body you see before you. Leaves blow on the wind as I stand there. They spin around me, not touching me at all. Dirt rises from the ground, over my feet, but instead of sucking me down, it just carresses my toes. Suddenly fire rises in front of me. For some reason I am never afraid of it. Instead I stand there, waiting for it to touch me. It never burns when it touches my skin. Instead it feels like the caress of a lover. It touches over me lightly..." Shaleeza's voice trails off. A soft blush covers her face and she looks at her hands.

Genkai studies this woman before her. "What next?"

Shal closes her eyes in embarrasement, not really feeling comfortable saying this in front of others "The feeling of the fire on my skin is very erotic. I usually wake up desiring release." Her voice is soft by the end of this statement, clearly embarrased about saying this in front of the the others. She knows she isn't much to look at and doesn't want people laughing at her.

Genkai studies this woman for a long time, thinking of the dream she was just told. Shaleeza studies her hands the whole time, still blushing.

"Do you have a green thumb?" Genkai inquires?

Shaleeza looks a little confused at this as she looks up. "Yes, actually. Gardening is one of my favorite past times. My garden is always one of the most admired on the street, unless I am writing, and even then it is lovely." Genkai nods. "You are very in tune with the earth, that is why we didn't hear you approach. It masked your footsteps." This is usually not disturbing to people, this dream you have. Do you believe in soulmates?" At Shaleeza's nod she continued "Well, it is just a reminder that you have a soulmate out there, someone who comfortable with fire and heat. It's almost a reminder that you need to be on the look out. He's close to you. Close to meeting you. That is why that spirit follows you around." Shaleeza's head shot up.

"WHAT?"

"That spirit over there, not really noticable. It's a newly formed spirit. One that wants to become a person. It happens to women whose biological clock is ticking. Just a reminder that you need to find this man and have a child...." her voice trailed off at the stricken look on Shaleeza's face. "What?"

"I can't bear children, i'm barren." Genkai frowned and looked over the woman's shoulder at the spirit that accompanied her and then back to Shal. "Are you sure?" Shal nodded "I don't ovulate. I've been to various doctor's to find out why, to get me to start, but I don't. No one can figure out why. I have eggs, they should be releasing, but they don't." She shrugged at this, but the others saw that it upset her to talk about this.

A deep voice sounded from the doorway behind them. "I'm back." The others looked up and nodded and smiled to Hiei. Kurama was surprised that he was back so soon. In truth so was Hiei.

He had been alone, wrapped up in his thoughts of her, when suddenly the need to return to Genkai's was overwhelming so he had immediately left. He arrived to see a seated woman sitting across from Genkai. He heard her admit that she was barren and no one could figure out why, but it really didn't concern him so he just stored it away and announced his presence.

Shaleeza had frozen at Hiei's voice behind her. For some reason it was familiar that she had, momentarily, an overpowering urge to jump up and run to this man's arms. She didn't even know what he looked like. She sat staring at the floor ahead of her, trying to regain control of herself before she looked over her shoulder at Hiei.

As she looked at his face, his eyes were inadvertently drawn to her face. Instantly he felt an overwhelming surge of Kaletta's presence, so strong that he took a step back and grabbed the doorjam to keep from reeling, the room spinned a bit. No one in the room noticed his reaction to her, their eyes were on her.

The minute their eyes met she had grabbed her head with a scream and pitched forward on the floor. Her eyes closed as images and names slammed through her mind. It was like a dam had opened in her head. Memories from a previous life and time slammed through her. As did who she was. By now she was screaming, both hands and arms wrapped around her head. Genkai was at her side, as was Boton, calling her name. Genkai looked up at Hiei and saw him steading himself against the doorjam, his eyes on Shaleeza. She saw a look on his face that she had never seen their before. It took a moment for her to realize it, hope and fear mixed together. By the time she figured it out, he was gone, having fled.

Five minutes later the surge of information and memories had stopped and Shaleeza lay wasted on the floor, eyes closed, hands over her eyes. She knew now who she was. Kaletta opened her eyes and looked at the others in the room. She lifted her hands and stared at Shaleeza's hand before bursting into tears, buring her face in her hands.
