part 2
Be Mine, Valentine By: boysluvcraft
Part two…
Yesterday was St. Valentines Day, a human holiday dedicated to the celebration of love, romance, and other such trifles. Hiei never cared much about human holidays, but on that one, he had attended a party held by his human and humanized acquaintances. On that Valentines Day Hiei had received his first valentines chocolate. He got it from one of the few beings he would venture to call a friend; Kurama.
Traditionally, giving someone a chocolate on that day meant that they had special, romantic feelings for them… or so said Botan, the blue haired dingbat. Of course, Hiei didn’t really think that was the fox’s reason for giving it to him. More likely it was some silly game the fox was playing with him. However it did put a notion in his head. What if he and Kurama…?
Kurama had always supported him, even if he didn’t think Hiei was right. Well, except for that one time he stopped him from killing Yusuke. But that was actually for Hiei’s good in the long run. If he had killed the detective, Hiei would have faced eradication, rather than a term of probation. Kurama had always been so patient with Hiei as well. If there was an issue Hiei seriously didn’t want pressed, Kurama would not press, but if things ever fell apart on Hiei… there was little doubt that the fox would have been there to help him pick up the pieces. He was a more than good friend. Hiei got to thinking, maybe there was a chance they could be more than friends. What’s more is the thought of it, him and Kurama together, put butterflies in his stomach… and he liked it.
Today, Hiei sat up in a tree, feeling like a complete idiot. He tried to get romantic with Kurama and struck out. Idiot. Hiei had known his entire life that emotions were a weakness and here he has giving in to he blasted things. What was he thinking? That he could entice the sexist being in the three worlds to look his way. Idiot. He gambled his friend for a lover and lost him. It hurt. It was hurting him deeper than he’d ever hurt before. Idiot. He kissed Kurama, and even offered him his body! IDIOT! Even now Hiei, like a fool, couldn’t get Kurama off his mind. He wondered what the fox was doing right at that moment. Hiei could picture it, Kurama humming absently to himself while fussing with his plants, or reading some damn book, safe and warm inside his house. Meanwhile he sat up a tree, out in the cold, broken hearted, and to top it all off it had started raining!
He had to see him. Hiei knew he shouldn’t use his Jagan to spy on people, but hell getting the thing installed hurt like hell! He earned the right to play peeping tom all he wanted! He ripped off his bandana. The Jagan flared to life with an intense purple glow. He focused him mind on Kurama, Kurama’s energy, Kurama’s being. The Jagan reached out, finding Kurama and taking his mind with it. Soon a clear image formed in his head, clear as if he were in the room himself.
Kurama was in his room, lying on his bed; not unusual. Yusuke was with him which would not have been unusual, except that he was in Kurama’s bed too. Kurama was resting on his back. Yusuke was lounging at his side, his arm lazily resting on Kurama’s chest. It couldn’t be what it looked like, Hiei told himself.
“You feeling alright, Kurama?” Yusuke was speaking.
“I feel a little uneasy,” Kurama answered, “But I suppose that’s to be expected. It has been a day full of surprises.”
“Awe, I thought you’d like surprises,” Yusuke smirked.
“I do enjoy the occasional thrill,” Kurama admitted.
“Yeah?”
Kurama went on, “And maybe you were right. I should just sit back and let things happen, every once in a while.”
“In that case,” Yusuke leered, “Wanna do it again?”
Something like a smile touched the corner of Kurama’s lips, “I don’t know. Surprise me.”
With a deep chuckle, Yusuke leaned over with both hands pressed against Kurama’s chest, and kissed him. He kissed him long and softly, and then pulled back, a grin on his face. Kurama smiled back as his hands traced along Yusuke’s arms, up over his shoulders to come to rest at the back of the brunette’s neck. He pulled Yusuke back to him.
Hiei cut off contact, roughly re-covering his third eye with his headband. He couldn’t watch that for another moment. Hiei had been in error earlier when he thought he was hurting more than he’d ever hurt before. NOW he was hurting more than he’s ever hurt before. Before he could take some solace from the delusion that Kurama’s rejection wasn’t personal. He knew Kurama feared that anyone he loved would become a target for enemies would who take advantage of such things. More than one foe has tried that using his mother as a shield. Of course, that hardy applied for Hiei. He could take care of himself. But still Hiei could reason that Kurama just wasn’t looking to be in a relationship at that point. Or even that he’d rejected him because the human culture frowns on homosexual relationships. But now… Kurama was with Yusuke.
It was clear that the problem was Hiei, himself. He was rejected. And it was raining. The tree’s leaves couldn’t hold up to the large water droplets that were falling from the heavens. The rain fell on Hiei plastering his hair to his skull and soaking his clothes. It was cold, but cold he could handle. He was birthed by an ice apparition after all. But he hated being damp. Normally during rains like this he’d seek shelter at the fox’s house. Kurama would dry his clothes and give him hot chocolate. Then if the rains didn’t let up by night, they’d sleep in the same bed. Kurama’s bed was always so warm and it smelled like spring fresh dryer sheets. Hiei sighed. He wouldn’t be crawling into Kurama’s bed anymore. That was Yusuke’s job now, he thought bitterly.
Hiei went back to the demon world after that. Demon world, where dark overcasts and lighting storms were the typical forecast, though it didn’t necessarily rain. Hiei stood out on a balcony of the mobile garrison, watching the storms pass in the distance.
“So, the clerk was right. You are back,” a soft and familiar voice sounded behind him.
“Toya,” Hiei acknowledged him.
The ice apparition waked up to stand at the rail next to him, looking out over the distance, perhaps wondering what it was out there that had grabbed Hiei’s attention so. “You haven’t been to see Mukuro yet.” It wasn’t a question.
“I don’t have to check in with her. She’s not my mother, no matter how much she tries to pretend to be,” Hiei snapped. In fact, Mukuro was very much like a mother to him. Damned if that woman couldn’t read him like a book, too. One glace and she’d know exactly what went down… and then she would mock him or worse; she’d want him to talk about it! For that reason Hiei actually considered not returning to the demon world, but bumming around the human world for a while. At least until he managed to bury the pain the of Kurama’s rejection deep enough into his subconscious mind that he might even be able to convince himself it never happened. Yeah, that seemed like a healthy thing to do.
“Fair enough,” Toya let that subject drop. “So you went to the human world to celebrate one of their holidays, huh? Sounds exciting. Back when I was Shinobi, I got to hear a lot of stuff about human holidays, but I never got to celebrate one. February 14th, is that the one with the rabbit and the eggs?”
“I don’t think so,” Hiei responded, taken aback. Rabbits and eggs? “It was Valentines Day. It has something to do with chocolates and… lovers. Crap like that.”
“It’s too bad we don’t celebrate in the demon world,” Toya said absently, “It’d be nice to have something to look forward to, you know.”
Hiei snorted, “Half the population was acting like fools in heat and the other half was depressed nearly to the point of suicide-- really something to look forward to there.”
Toya didn’t reply. Good. Hiei hoped that the ice master would decide to go away. It wasn’t anything personal against Toya. It was just that the ice apparition had always made him uncomfortable. It was his aura, cold as never ending winter … it was too much like the place where Hiei was born… the place that had rejected him… rejected. It seemed to be his life story.
A cool hand on his shoulder shook Hiei from his musings. Toya stared concerned into his face and asked, “Are… are you alright?”
“I’m fine,” Hiei irritably brushed the hand off and started to pace toward the door and away from the ice apparition. Whatever gave Toya the idea that he would want to talk to him? When in the history of knowing him did Hiei ever encourage him to associate with someone like him? When did he ever consider-- Hiei stopped short of the door, his hand hovering over the doorknob. A thought occurred to him, “Toya, would you care to accompany me for a cup of coffee in my apartments?”
A short time found Hiei and the ice apparition in the former’s apartments. As an officer Hiei had his own apartment with a living area and private kitchen and bath, unlike the barracks that lower ranking solders had. Toya had one just it, which surprised him. For some reason he thought that Hiei’s would be more extravagant, being Mukuro’s favorite and all. But no, it was standard issue-- and still looked standard, Toya noted as he paced the living area. Most demons brought in pieces of furniture, decorations, personal items, but Hiei’s room had none of this. The only proof that anyone lived there was the smell of coffee that waffled into the room.
At that point Hiei came back from the kitchen with two mugs of hot coffee. He gave one to Toya and gestured for him to sit on the couch. There was a chair in the room that Hiei could have sat in, but instead he chose to sit on the couch next to his guest. He watched the man for a moment as he raised the cup to his lips, but then decided it was too hot and just held it. Hiei took a sip of his own and said brusquely, “You have a lover, Toya?”
“Pardon?” The ice apparition said a bit startled.
“We were talking about Valentines Day earlier,” Hiei reminded, “It’s a holiday for lovers, you know.”
“Oh,” Toya said, “Not at the moment-- I’ve had lovers before. It’s been a while, but… So, what is it that lover’s do on Valentines?”
“Nothing that they couldn’t do on any other day,” Hiei smirked, “But for some inane reason they think that doing it on that day makes it more special.”
“That’s silly,” Toya agreed.
Hiei didn’t say anything after that, causing a silence that was a little awkward. But then, without any warning, Hiei smoothed his hand over Toya’s cheek. He opened his mouth, maybe to gasp, maybe to speak, they’d never know because at that moment Hiei pressed his lips against Toya’s. Hiei’s kiss wasn’t too demanding, but just aggressive enough to make it clear what his intentions were. He moved his hand back around Toya’s neck, while his other hand snaked in to grasp his hip. It wasn’t until Hiei started to press the blue haired boy down onto the sofa, did Toya raise a hand to push back on Hiei’s chest.
Their mouths parted with slick sucking sound. Toya panted, “Uh, okay… this is sudden. I didn’t expect…Wow.”
“You want to continue?” Hiei asked then added, “No strings attached, just for… fun.”
Toya looked shocked for a second before nodding, “Okay.”
Hiei then took Toya by the hand and led him into his bedroom, which was just as personal looking as his living room. He laid Toya out on his standard issue sheets and went to devouring his lips. This time Toya was more participating, opening his mouth for Hiei and pressing back on Hiei’s tongue when it entered his mouth to play. As fun as that was, Hiei soon abandoned the apparition’s mouth to his jaw and then down his neck, licking and biting as he went on his way. The blue haired man gasped and moaned under Hiei’s skill, much to Hiei’s delight. He liked those sounds so much; he decided to reward the boy by reaching down to cup the bulge that had developed in his pants. Toya tossed his head back and moaned.
“What a reaction,” Hiei chuckled, moving to slip his hands under Toya’s shirt and pushing the material up to expose the other mans strong muscled chest. Hiei growled, “Show me more.”
He fell on Toya’s chest, exciting a hiss from the man. Hiei raked his hands down Toya’s front, over his hard stomach to his hips, where Hiei caught his waistband under his thumbs, and without missing a beat, pushed them down to the man’s knees. He brought his hand back up to cup Toya’s swelling erection, again. This time without the fabric in the way, Hiei could feel the soft skin on the hard length and the surprising heat that came off of it. Toya groaned and bucked his hips, wanting more attention. Hiei planned to give it to him.
Hiei stepped down from the bed, leaving Toya’s half naked body exposed to the cool air. Hiei pulled off his shirt, not taking his eyes off Toya. Toya did look very sexy like that, with his usually stoic features flushed with passion and a strong erection jutting up from the nest of azure colored curls, between his legs. He was shivering a bit; it wasn’t from the cold. Hiei licked his lips and reached for his belts.
“Wow,” was all Toya could say.
“See something you like?” Hiei smirked and made a show of stroking his flesh.
“I do,” Toya murmured as he kicked off his pants. “It’s been a long time though, too long.” On that note, Toya popped two figures in his mouth. When he removed them, he immediately moved them down to his entrance to start preparing himself for Hiei’s girth. Hiei, for his part, just stood by, squeezing his dick while patently watching the man finger himself.
“Ready for me?” He asked when Toya removed his fingers from his rectum and collapsed, panting, on his back. Toya nodded slightly and spread his legs wider so that Hiei could settle between them.
“Right, here we go,” Hiei murmured as he started thrusting into Toya’s willing body, “ahh….”
Twenty minutes later, Toya sat up and stretched like a cat, obviously enjoyed the way his body felt post-coitus. He glanced at the clock. “Oh, if I don’t hurry, I’ll be late for my shift,” he said, hurrying to put his clothes on, “Sorry to run out on you so soon. That was… ohh, I’ve got to do that more often.”
Hiei answered with a vague grunt as he, too, climbed out of the bed. He turned and headed for the shower. He didn’t look back, even as Toya rushed out the door. Hiei turned on his shower and climbed inside. Then he stood there, one arm resting on the wall, letting the warm water run over his naked body, which still tingled a bit from the orgasm he’d experienced only minutes before. He had sex with Toya. Hiei thought the encounter would have made him feel better, more desirable, wanted. And the ice apparition was more than willing, excited even, to be with him, but….
“Not Kurama,” Hiei muttered to the drain,” Damn it, what’s wrong with me?”
At that same time in another dimension, the object of Hiei’s desire was standing outside of his gardening shed as he had been doing for some time. It was silly, but Kurama was actually nervous about walking into his own shed. Strange things happed in that shed. Nonetheless, he couldn’t allow his plants to go untended just because his life had miraculously turned into a BL manga. He swallowed and stepped inside. He sighed. Everything was as it should be. Then as he crossed the floor something crunched under his foot.
“This is…” He picked it up; a little, now slightly squished box with a crumbled little bow on it. It was the box of chocolate that he gave to Hiei on Valentines Day. Hiei must have had it with him and dropped it there the day before when…. Kurama remembered, Hiei’s hands moving on his body, Hiei’s body pressed so tight against him, while his hot mouth stole his breath. And then Kurama said those words, “I don’t love you,” and then Hiei was gone. He remembered that look of pain that crossed the demon’s face right before he bolted.
Suddenly, Kurama’s legs felt like they could no longer hold him and his chest ached. He gasped as it hit him, really hit him and sunk in, “I’m never going to see him again.”
The ache in his chest persisted throughout the day and followed him in to the next day and the next. Weeks passed and he got used to it being there, and at times, he could even forget about it. But Kurama knew it would ever really leave him. It was a thing Kurama lot about, because he had a lot of it stored up from his long lives. It was regret.
In Makai those same weeks later, Mukuro was sitting at her desk with her nose scrunched up in distaste. Hiei was across from her, she could smell that ridiculous pretty boy on him-- what was his name? Shishi? Yes, that was it Shishiwakamaru. The day before, it was that Jin fellow. Before that, Suzuki, and someone else before that. It was someone different-- sometimes two somebodies-- almost everyday. Mukuro crossed her arms and said to her underling, “It’s nice that you’ve finally gotten over your awkward shyness, but don’t you think you’re going a bit far?”
Hiei narrowed his eyes at her. He only came in there to hand in a report, not to be lectured, “Mind your own business woman.”
“This is my business, Hiei,” Mukuro told him with a smirk, “What if King Enki calls and tells me there’s been some sort of crisis somewhere? How am I supposed to respond if my entire garrison is down with sore asses, huh?”
Hiei growled at her, but she wasn’t impressed. She said, “You know you’re awfully cranky for a guy who’s getting laid so often that I could set my watch by it. I won’t ask you what your problem is-- you wouldn’t answer anyway. But I will suggest you take a few days off. You can go away to the human world, perhaps, and sort things out.”
“I don’t need a vacation,” Hiei groused.
“When I said, ‘suggest’, I meant ‘order’.” She said definitively as she pulled a form out of her desk and started to fill it out, “From now until, oh lets say, whenever I feel like it, you, Hiei the Jaganshi are officially on mandatory vacation. If I see you around here, I will have you arrested and tossed in the dungeon.” She stamped the form, ripped the carbon copy sheet off the bottom and handed it to Hiei, “Have a lovely time and do send me a postcard.”
“I’ll send her a postcard of my ass!” Hiei raged after he was ejected from her office. He crumpled up his discharge papers and tossed them down the hall. So he was no longer welcome here either. What else was new? Hiei thought bitterly, no matter where he went or who he was around, he would enviably be tossed aside. That was just how things were.
Hiei didn’t need to stop at his rooms before he left the fortress; he carried his only things of real value with him at all times, that is his sword and his mother’s tear gem. He set off, with a destination already in mind. He didn’t see a future there, but who needs a future?
In her office, Mukuro picked up the phone and dialed a few numbers. “Front gates? Has Hiei departed, yet? I see. And what direction was he headed? I see. No, I don’t want you to fetch him back. Thank you.” She hung up the phone and dialed another number. “Operator, I would like to place a long distance call. To the human world. Yusuke Urameshi. Yes, I’ll hold.”
It was the middle of the night in the human world. Kurama was shocked out of sleep by the sound of the phone ringing. He stumbled over to his desk and picked it up.
“Kurama!” Yusuke’s voice deafened him.
“Yusuke, do you know what time it is?” Kurama whispered as if it would help the ringing in his ears.
“Sorry, but this couldn’t wait till morning,” Yusuke told him, “I just got a phone call from Mukuro-- I didn’t even know I could get calls from Makai. Shit, I wonder what that’s going to do to my phone bill!”
“Yusuke, what did she want?” Kurama got the boy back on track.
“Oh, it was about Hiei. She said that she stuck him on vacation cuz he’s been acting like a nutcase. She hopped he‘d come here to work out his issues, but he didn’t,” Yusuke explained, “Anyway, she said that she don’t know what’s wrong with him, but she’s sure its our fault, cuz he started acting like this after the last time he was here, so she says we gotta fix it. Kurama?”
“Y-yes?” Kurama was still trying to process that through his half-sleeping brain.
“You think this has to do with, ya know, Valentines Day?”
“Where exactly did she say he was heading?”
“Toward Gandara.”
“Shit,” Kurama cursed, “Okay, try to get some sleep. We’re heading to Makai in the morning.”
Convincing his mother that there wasn’t anything wrong was not easy. What, he gets a phone call in the middle of the night and then suddenly in the morning he has to go on a trip to someplace far way, where he may not be reached, for an undetermined amount of time and everything is fine? Somehow he managed and was able to met Yusuke.
“This is all my fault,” He said to Yusuke as they traveled, “I turn him down far too harshly.”
“It‘s not your fault,” Yusuke shrugged, “I mean, I gobbled your sausage, but I wouldn‘t do that sort of thing with, like, Kuwabara or something. You can’t help it if he’s not your type”
“That‘s… not the problem,” Kurama shook his head, “To tell the truth, Hiei’s not bad looking.”
“I never thought so either,” Yusuke said flippantly, “He’s kinda got that shouta look to him, but not in a pedophile-ish way, ya know. I think it’s the rocking body that pulls it off. Never seen below the belt, I wonder if the candy’s fun sized or king sized, either sounds tasty.”
Kurama could only gap, “How can you say stuff like that?”
“Well one, it’s true,” Yusuke smirked, “And two, I’m talking to you. I mean, ya would think you can be frank and honest with a guy after you’ve tasted his spunk and all.”
“You’re mortifying me, Yusuke,” Kurama muttered into his hand, “And you have a girlfriend-- poor girl, her man is obsessed with dicks!”
“Hey, we’re not talking about my issues today,” Yusuke pointed, “We were talking about you and Hiei, and stuff.”
Kurama sighed, “His looks were not the issue, and it’s not that I don’t like him. It would have been so easy to just let go and have sex with him. It would have been so easy. That‘s all in the past, nothing I can do about it, now. We need to focus on this new issue.”
“What new issue?” Yusuke glanced at the redhead.
“Hiei’s gone to Gandara,” Kurama told him, “And who lives in Gandara?”
“Uh, Yomi?”
“And who is Yomi?”
“A real tough guy, uh, your ex-partner, and-- oh! You two, uh…”
“It’s sort of a cliché in demon world,” Kurama told him, “If you’re attacked to someone who loves someone else to challenge that someone else to a duel. I think Hiei’s gone to Gandara to challenge Yomi over me.”
“But you and Yomi haven’t been together in like forever,” Yusuke pointed out, “So it ain‘t like beating him is gonna win you and besides….”
“Yomi is way too powerful for Hiei to beat,” Kurama finished it. “Hiei knows that. And he’s counting on it.”
Yusuke interjected, “Wait you’re making it sound like--”
“He want’s Yomi to kill him, yes,” Kurama confirmed, “Hiei would never admit it, but he just loves to be dramatic. It has to be Yomi. That way, when he’s gone… I’ll know that it was my fault.”
“Shit,” Yusuke cursed. And that was the last of the conversation. After that they focused on speed as the hurtled toward Gandara, in hopes that they would reach their destination before it was too late. When they arrived their path was blocked by a gate and a fat guard that the two were half way tempted to kill rather than deal with.
“I need to see Yomi, right away,” Kurama told him.
“Have you an appointment?” The overfeed specimen grunted.
“Appointment? Who the fuck do you think you are?” Yusuke growled, “And for that matter do you have any idea who we are?!”
“Sorry, but Lord Yomi can‘t be disturbed right now. He’s very busy dealing with a guest who came to see him earlier today.” the guard told them.
“Uh, this guest would happen to be named Hiei, would it?” Yusuke demanded.
The fat guard frowned, “Hmm, I think so. He’s that guy who works for Mukuro right?”
“That’s Hiei!” Kurama made to push past the guard, but the fat demon held his arms out to block him.
“Sorry, can’t let no one pass without okay from Yomi,” The guard said unmoving, “and Yomi can’t say okay till he’s done with his guest.”
In a flash the guard was sprawled out on the ground, unconscious while Kurama was standing over him with his hand balled in a fist. For his part, Yusuke stood aside with his jaw on the ground. Did Kurama just strike out on impulse? He opened his mouth to make a remark to that affect, but Kurama spoke first, “Sorry, this may get messy now, but I haven’t the time to play things cool.” In one move he reached into his hair, summoned his whip and cut down the gate. Before Yusuke could ask what had gotten into him, the fox had bounded through the gate and disappeared into the complex. Yusuke of course, now had problems of his own. The other guards had sensed their comrade slip in to unconsciousness and were already flocking to investigate.
At that same moment in Yomi’s gardens, a certain dark haired fire apparition took off his shirt and flung it away into some bushes as he narrowed his eyes predatorily on the demon before him.
Yomi addressed him, “I must say that it is an honor that you’ve come to be for this. There’s any number of demons you could have gone to.”
“A comforting thought,” Hiei snorted, “I’ll have plenty of back ups, in case you fail.”
“Oh, you do know how to pose a challenge,” Yomi said with a touch of excitement entering his voice. “Well now, why don’t you move over here so we can get this started?
Kurama had picked up both Yomi and Hiei’s aura-- they were in no way trying to keep them subdued. The intensity was rising slowly, not yet anywhere near their true potentials. Maybe he wasn’t too late… or maybe Hiei just wasn’t putting up much of a fight. Kurama neared the gardens. He could feel them close, a breath away, just over the hedge. He leapt over it and as he landed he cried out, “Stop!”
Kurama opened his eyes, he didn’t realize he’d shut them-- and found a scene he had not expected at all! Hiei was with Yomi, but they were hardly in the wedges of battle. Yomi was seated on an iron bench, while Hiei stood up between his knees, his hands cleverly sneaking into the parted material of others shirt, and his head tipped up to join with the others lips. It was almost comical. Even standing, Hiei had to crane his neck to kiss the much taller apparition. But then at the fox’s sudden entrance, Hiei started and broke away from Yomi’s lips.
“Kurama,” Hiei gasped obviously surprised to see the fox.
“Hiei… Yomi,” Kurama said in shock, “You’re not fighting.”
“Kurama. So good of you to stop by. I was just thinking we don‘t visit nearly often enough,” Yomi’s bemused voice came to him, “But now, if I didn‘t hear you right, why would Hiei and I be fighting?”
“Uh, because I rejected his affections in an inexcusably rash manner, thus breaking his heart, so he has come to challenge one of my former lovers in hopes to end his life,” Kurama felt stupid saying it.
Hiei laughed at this point, “You think I’m committing suicide over you? You really think way too highly of yourself, fox. I’m here because Mukuro got tied of me fucking every pretty ass in her army, and tossed me out. Now, on that note, Yomi and I would like some privacy.” He turned back to the blind demon and proceeded to nibble a path up his strong jaw.
Kurama could only gape as he processed the information. Hiei had been sleeping with other people. He didn’t like it, the idea of other people touching Hiei, kissing him, loving him. It couldn’t be true. But here, he couldn’t deny it! Hiei was right in front of him, entwined in another man’s arms, letting him taste his lips and sample the favors deep in his mouth, while the man’s hands mapped out the untried contours of his body. Kurama couldn’t have this, no. And then before, his rational mind could stop him, Kurama lashed out with his whip, snatching Hiei around the waist and jerked his away from Yomi. In the next second Kurama had taken his place between Yomi’s knees, but he only thing Yomi got to kiss was Kurama’s fist.
The moment passed. Yomi was on the ground, topple by Kurama’s blow. Hiei was also on the ground, several feet away where Kurama had tossed him before attacking Yomi. He was in a state of utter disbelief. “Kurama, what are you thinking?”
“I‘m not thinking at all,” Kurama responded, falling on the smaller man. Gripping his shoulders and pressing him into the ground, he aggressively claimed Hiei’s lips. Between kisses he gasped, “See, what you do to me? All these years of practiced mental discipline… and careful planning… in everything I do.” He paused to chew at Hiei’s ear. “Ohh, now look what I’ve done. It’s all your fault! Never, in my existence, have I known another being who could throw me off so completely. And… I love you for it!”
Hiei’s eyes grew wide as he stared up at Kurama’s flustered face. All he could manage was, “Prove it to me.”
Kurama took his lips with even more enthusiasm, if that was at all possible. He ground his hips into Hiei’s causing the smaller apparition to growl in pleasure. He liked that sound and rolled his hips again to cause it again. He could feel Hiei, hard and burning hot inside his pants. The man was fumbling to reach between them, wanting to get rid of the cloths that separated them. As difficult as it was to part from Hiei, Kurama moved back so that the demon could lower his pants. Hiei was only able to get them half off, however, before passion demanded Kurama embrace his love again. Kurama for his part, did manage to unfasten his fly to release his manhood, before he pressed his body back to Hiei’s.
Hiei’s body was so firm and so hot against his. Was he really that hot or was it just his own passion that made the fox’s body so sensitive to the heat? Either one was very possible. Kurama moved his hips desperately against Hiei’s each time that unbelievable heat seemed to flare between them. The sensation tingle up Kurama’s spine and like a thousand pin pricks of pleasure. Kurama could already feel his end coming up on him. It was almost embarrassing how little self restraint he had at that moment. He bit his lip, in effort to hold off his orgasm just a while longer. This was his first time with the man he loved and he wanted to be inside him at least once before he came.
He moved his hands down to cup Hiei’s round little ass, before slipping his fingers into his crevice. Kurama startled. Hiei’s entrance was already so open and slick.
It only took a second for Hiei to work out why Kurama had stopped. He explained, “I prepared myself before meeting up with Yomi. The foreplay thing is only bothersome when you don‘t care for whom you‘re with.”
“Very well,” Kurama’s voice was a slightly jealous growl, “but for now on you’ll let me do this for you.” He pressed both his fingers in at once-- yes, Hiei had done a thorough job on himself.
Hiei tipped his head back and moaned, “Ohhh, yes…, ah, Kurama!”
Kurama pulled his fingered out of Hiei’s rear and immediately replaced them with his dick. “Ahhh, I love you sooo, much… ngh,” he moaned and came after only in a few short thrusts. Their first time together was embarrassingly short, indeed, but still very satisfying. As the after effects of his orgasm waned, Kurama’s normal composure returned to him. He found himself kneeling over his near-naked and recently ravished best friend, and all he could think was how beautiful he looked.
“Kurama,” Hiei’s voice sounded parched, “Say it again.”
“I love you,” Kurama said without hesitation.
“Hn, I love you too,” Hiei sat up and kissed his lightly on the lips. He smirked, “Now, why don’t you take me to a room where we can take our time and do this right?”
“Anything you want,” Kurama scooped Hiei off the ground and headed toward the guest wing of the complex.
Yomi watched them go-- well he listened to them go-- as he had listened, all but forgotten, during the entire exchange. When they were gone, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a mobile phone. A few button punches latter he said in to the receiver, “Mukuro? Yes, he came. He did. Oh yes, they did, right in front of me too. Yes, you were right about them. I know, a bets a bet; I buy lunch next time. Until then.” He hung up and in a moment spoke to the bushes, “I didn’t know you were into voyeurism, Mr. Urameshi.”
Called out, Yusuke stepped out of the bushes, grinning, “Heh, they are a sight, so can ya really blame me for staring?”
“Not in the least, though it seems to have caused you some… trouble,” Yomi gestured vaguely to the bulge in Yusuke’s pants. “I could feel your body heat gathering in that spot and I have to say, it’s rather impressive. I wouldn’t let it go to waste if I were you.” He paused to stroke the bulge in his own pants, calling Yusuke’s attention to it. He heard the boy’s heart skip and his body heat rise. Then he asked, “Would you care to engage in some… recreational activities?”
“Eh, why the hell not?” Yusuke chuckled before hopping into the older demon’s lap. Lord Yomi was going to be indisposed for some time yet.
It was one month past that fateful Valentines Day and the former Reikei Tantei gang was getting together for a White Day party at the Kuwabara residence-- the Kuwabara’s just loved parties. Kurama had poured through this closet and found just the right thing to wear. Everyone would be there. He heard that Yukina was going give Kuwabara a promise ring. Botan, Shizuru and Keiko of course wanted to be there to see that. Of course, Yusuke would be there with Keiko.
On that note: Yusuke’s curiosity with males seemed sated ever since his tryst with Yomi. Well, enough so that he could stop chasing dicks and start behaving like a proper boyfriend to Keiko. However, the boy and the former Makai lord had taken to frequent correspondence through letters, the contents of which only the two concerned were privy to. A little hint though, Yomi always sighed the letters; Counting the days, yours always-- Yomi.
Kurama was just approaching the Kuwabara’s front door, when a light foot fell behind hind him. He smiled and said, “You took off so early this morning, I thought you were trying to dodge this party.”
“It is my understanding that on this day you are supposed to reciprocate a gift to the people who gave you chocolates on Valentines,” Hiei said, sheepishly pulling a small box out of his coat, much to Kurama‘s surprise.
“I didn’t think you’d have heard…” Kurama trailed off as he looked in the box. It held a little sliver pin, shaped like single rose with a simple legend engraved on the stem; H&K. He looked up at Hiei. He had the most adorable blush on his cheeks that he would later blame on the cold. He pulled Hiei into his arms and kissed him on the nose. At that moment Kurama could feel that something wonderful was happening to him. He fully intended to let it happen.

Part two…
Yesterday was St.
