Hiei's Harem: Pt. 7 - Consequences

Scene 2 ----------- Lily's Flower Garden


* When Hiei reaches the treeline he finds the blonde human sitting indian-style in the middle of the meadow. He sees that she's staring down at a wooden bowl full of berries. She closes her eyes when she hears him land softly not far from her. Hiei pauses a moment, feeling her apprehension grow, then calms himself and slowly goes over to stand beside her. For several moments he stands there in silence thoughtfully.


Hiei(Quietly)- You should know that I won't stop you.


* Staci flinches at his soft words until she recognizes the tone with which they were spoken. She raises her tear-filled eyes to look up at him. Hiei can't bring himself to meet her gaze.


Hiei(Quietly)- I cannot.. force you to carry my..

Staci- You don't want me to..!


* Hiei growls.


Hiei- You misunderstood my words!


* The Koorime gathers himself. He slowly realizes that anger is not what's needed right now. With a deep sigh he settles himself down to sit beside her.


Hiei- Have you eaten any, yet?


* Staci looks down into the bowl again.


Staci(Quietly)- No.. I.. I wanted to, but..


* She swallows thickly as the sentence dies with a sob. Hiei finally looks at her to watch her wipe her damp cheeks. Staci glances at him.


Staci- Oh, Master, I.. I want to.. keep it..

Hiei- Then do so.

Staci- But you don't.. want..

Hiei- As I said, you misunderstood.


* Hiei lowers his eyes, a bit disdained at the jumbled emotions he feels coming from her.


Staci- Then.. help me to understand.. Please,.. Hiei.. I'm not a demon, I can't read minds and..


* Unable to distance himself from her emotional distress, Hiei gives up and looks up at her again. He grasps as much of his control as he can to keep himself calm.


Hiei- I broke my promise to you..

Staci- How do you figure that?

Hiei- I hurt you after I promised you that I wouldn't even touch you.. I lost control of my instincts and.. ravaged you that night.


* Staci's face reddens with a blush that spreads across her cheeks.


Staci- Rav-..? Is that..? Oh, d---, Hiei.. That was the best.. sex.. I ever had since being brought here.


* Staci lowers her eyes as Hiei blinks at her. She shrugs nervously as she fidgets with the tattered hem of her raggity dress.


Staci- I mean.. Sure, I was.. sore.. when we woke up, but..

Hiei- I do my best to honor my words, Girl.. When I realized how much I'd hurt you.. I was truly ashamed of my actions.


* Staci closes her eyes and bows her head forward.


Staci- I-I thought.. your shame.. was that you'd done.. that.. w-with me.. A filthy human.


* Suddenly, Hiei feels the need to embrace her so he reaches out gently and pulls her against him. Staci hides her face against his chest and sobs.


Hiei- Listen to me,.. Staci.. I am not ashamed of you in the least.. If you were not so strong.. you would not have survived here this long.. Let alone survive my.. loss of control.


* For several moments Hiei just holds Staci as she sorts out her thoughts.


Staci(Quietly)- Do you.. want me to.. keep it?

Hiei- Hn. I do.


* She looks up at him. Her blue eyes misty with remnants of tears.


Staci- It'll be half human..


* Hiei lifts his unwarded hand to wipe her cheeks.


Hiei- It will be half you.. Silly girl.


* A small smile touches Staci's lips. Hiei looks away guiltily. But he realizes that it's not from his desire to comfort his mate.


Hiei- But how can you ever.. trust me again? I treated you like.. an animal.


* Staci lifts a hand to caress Hiei's cheek, making him look back down at her again.


Staci- Mistress Sarista explained to me why that.. session.. was like that.. She said that it was the way your.. instincts reacted to my.. willingness.

Hiei- Hn.

Staci- She told me something before that is making a lot more sense to me now.. I was upset once after Gamock sent me away from him during one of my.. periods.. Sarista came and consoled me. She told me that it wasn't my fault.. That it was Gamock's own weakness that made him repel me during those times.. She said that it would take a demon that was a h--- of a lot stronger than Gamock to.. accept me.


* When a smirk slips onto Hiei's lips Staci takes the chance to position herself to face him completely, straddling his lap.


Staci- Now,.. as for whether I trust you or not..


* She leans to capture his lips. Hiei's eyes widen a moment, then he slowly relaxes to accept the kiss. Having grown accustomed to no longer rejecting such opportunities, his hands calmly move to her waist to embrace her closer. Staci feels him begin to send his energy into her but he, himself, just continues the kiss not even noticing what he's doing. Until Staci gasps at the sensations that pulse through her, connecting to something deep inside her. She realizes what it is as Hiei pulls back and she sobs.


Hiei- What..?


* Staci smiles at him through her fresh tears.


Staci- I'm going to have a baby.. I felt your energy connect to it inside me..


* Hiei lowers his eyes to her middle, but her overwhelming feeling of happiness soon overrides his attempt to concentrate on feeling anything. He raises his eyes to meet hers and lifts one of his hands to tangle his fingers in her silky, blonde hair. Once again he is drawn toward her and he positions her gently beneath him as he captures her lips. Neither of them take any further notice of the bowl of berries that gets pushed far aside by their amorous actions.
