Chapter One
I awoke when it was darker. There was something in my mouth. Restricting me from talking. I looked around the room. Two of the four were still here. The one with hair red as a rose, the other hair black as night with a starburst were the ones that stayed. Red hair was sitting in a chair with his eyes closed while the one with black was looking out the bay window. I must have moved for the one with black hair looked up at me. Red eyes. I tried to talk. That must have alerted the one with red hair.
“Don’t speak. That is a feeding tube in you. We are trying to help you regain some strength. Do you understand? Blink once for yes and twice for no.”
I closed my eyes and opened them and tried not to blink again until he started talking again.
“My name is Suichi Minamio. This over there is Hiei. You are in a room to heal in Koemna ruler of spirit world’s office. Do you understand?”
Again I closed my eyes and opened them. But I had questions. I lifted my hand with some effort and pointed to the tube. Then made my fingers like a set of scissors and tried to cut the tube.
“You want the tubes out?” Open. Close. Open. “Let me get Boton.” He walked out of the room and left me with red eyes. He just looked at me. Like he was studying me. I was too weak to glare.
“You have the ability to steal energy from other life forms to heal your own wounds. Why don’t you?”
How could I tell him? I have a tube down my throat. Even then could I speak? Too long since I spoke to someone and have they respond. It had been too long since I have heard my voice.
“I am back with Boton to remove the tubes. Then maybe you can tell us more about you.”
“Just relax and we will get those out.” The one called Boton walked over and placed her hand over my eyes. I got sleepy. I have to stay awake. I have to…Darkness.
