A Binding Promise

Well, I worked on this story a bit while the site was down...I actually have a either five or six chapters down...I don't remember at this point ^^;;; but anyway, they are very...VERY long chapters too...and I STILL have to work on a few more chapters...but that's besides the point.

Anyway, here is the chapter that I never got to post up before the site went down ^^. It's also the chapter you guys were waiting for....and I was kinda suprised that you all thought Hiei would 'punish' Kuwabara with (whispers) sex.....Hiei's dark and sometimes evil but he's not THAT evil ^^;;; I mean...you'll see what I mean, and when you see what Hiei's punishment for Kuwabara is...which he actually doesn't get ^^;;; hahaha, you will all think that Hiei is in character ^^, with his kind of 'punishment'....I still can't believe you guys thought this story would have sex THIS early in the story ^^;;; I'm gonna get there, don't worry! I just gotta build up to that point! ^^;;;

So enough of my blabbling ^^;; on to the story...and I beg of you all to PLEASE REVIEW!! I mean....I got reviews for it LAST time it was up...and now...it's got nothing ^^;;; I want to continue this, but if I get like NO reviews then there's no point....so this is the ONLY time I will be begging for this and putting this threat that if I don't get ONE review, then I won't continue....but this is the only warning ^^;;; I won't beg anymore after that...I just want to know if my writing is good or if it sucks ^^;;; so...yeah...

Disclaimer: I do not own anything in this story or anything related to YYH, though I have seasons: second half of second season, third season, and just yesterday FOURTH season...and soon I will be a proud owner of a Kuwa-chan chibi ^___^ ((thanks again Kat ^_~.)) But other then that...I don't own the rights to the show or the manga...which I have up to manga NINE now...and I am not making ANY profit from Yu Yu Hakusho being in this fic.

A groan escaped his lips as he felt pain wash over his body. He opened his eyes, but found that they hurt too much. He shut them fast with another groan.

“Get up.”

Kuwabara grunted, knowing that harsh voice anywhere. He opened his eyes again and looked over to find a very annoyed Master Hiei glaring at him. Kuwabara sighed and gave another grunt as he sat up, finding himself in his own bed back at Master Hiei’s place.

“What happened?” Kuwabara asked, as he held his head and found it bandaged along with his bare chest.

“You were kidnapped again.” snorted Hiei glaring at his injured servant.

“Kidnapped?” Kuwabara asked in disbelief.

“Yes, kidnapped. I was waiting for you with Goki to return with Kurama when I felt you get hurt through our connection. I left Goki there to check on you…” Hiei said, touching the thin black band around his right hand; his link to Kuwabara.

Kuwabara snickered.

“Awww didn’t know you cared!” Kuwabara said.

Hiei glared at him.

“Don’t make me have to punish you, human.” Hiei growled.

Kuwabara sighed.

‘He can never call me by my name…how hard is it to say Kuwabara?” he thought.

“Yes Master Hiei.”

Hiei smirked, satisfied.

“I followed your aura to an apartment and when you were alone, brought you home. I had to retrieve Kurama and he had insisted we wait until you awoke to discus the heist.” Hiei said, a bit annoyed and showing with his voice that he really didn’t like what the fox was up to.

Kuwabara raised an eyebrow at that.

“Really? Why would he do that?” Kuwabara asked.

“I’m not sure, but he won’t make a deal unless you are there…” Hiei snarled.

He didn’t know what that kitsune was playing, but he figured that he’d deal with him after he had gotten what he wanted.

“Oh…” Kuwabara said.

‘I wonder why…?” he thought, not understanding why he needed to be there.

“So are you able to walk, or do I need to drag you?” Hiei asked, standing up.

Kuwabara snorted, knowing that was Hiei’s way to asking if he was alright.

“I’m coming I’m coming!” he said, getting up, but having to wait for the room to stop moving for a bit before following his master out of his room. “Geeze…that guy really messed me up.” Kuwabara mumbled.

“Yes, he did, which means you need to train harder.” Hiei said.

Kuwabara groaned, but followed behind his mater as he walked out of the room.

“Don’t embarrass me, human, or I’ll give you extra weights during training.” Hiei said before reaching the door that lead out side of the house.

“Yes Master Hiei.” Kuwabara mumbled.

The two walked out of the house and into the woods. After five minutes, they arrived in a clearing, in the middle of the clearing stood Kurama and Goki.

“About time.” snorted Goki.

“Hn now that the oaf is here, let’s decide how we’re going to do this.” Hiei said.

Kuwabara stood off to the side with his arms crossed in front of his chest and looking bored.

“Are your injuries better Kuwabara, is it?”

Kuwabara snapped out of his train of thought and turned to the red head.

“Uh, oh um I’m find Kurama-sama and Kuwabara is right.” Kuwabara said.

“Kurama please.” Kurama said with a smile.

Hiei narrowed his eyes at Kurama before he cleared his throat, not liking his servant and Kurama being so ‘friendly’.

“Now if you’re done with playing ‘mother’, let’s get this meeting started.” Hiei said.

Kuwabara rolled his eyes at Hiei’s retort before going over to a tree and sitting down under it and lying against it, though wincing a bit from his injuries.

‘Man…I’m hurting from that guy…I’ve never felt this bad even with Hiei’s training…’ Kuwabara thought.

“Right.” Goki said.

“Let me introduce you to the infamous Youko Kurama.” Hiei said, pointing to Kurama.

Goki turned to Kurama and started to laugh.

“This is Kurama, you say? How pathetic! You mean that after being chased by the Hunter, you’ve come to survive by possessing this pasty human?!” Goki said, looking at Kurama who looked at him. “Show me your original form! Otherwise, I’ll never believe it!” Goki says, giving Kurama the middle finger.

“I can’t do that. It’s close to say that we’re merged together then, that I am possessing him. So while I am Kurama, I am also Minamino Shuichi.” Kurama said.

Kuwabara looked on a bit confused.

‘So wait…the guy Hiei’s been talking about is this guy? The same guy that helped him save me from nine hands?’ Kuwabara thought.

“Don’t make me laugh! This job has us stealing the treasures of the Spirit Realm! Do you think things are going to go right if we’re teamed up with this bastard?” Goki said, turning towards Hiei, who stood not too far from where Kuwabara was sitting, leaning against a tree. “Huh Hiei?”

“Why don’t you test him out for yourself to see whether or not he has any skills, Goki?” Hiei said with a smug look.

“Heh, that’s a good idea. I haven’t seen any blood recently. How about it Kurama-san?” Goki said with a snicker, turning his attention to the red head.

He blinked as smoke seemed to build up around Kurama. Kuwabara watched in amazement as he felt the yoki coming off Kurama was very powerful.

“It’s true; I don’t have the same degree of yoki as I had earlier. However, I found myself someone to protect in place of it. If it’s for those people, then I can become even stronger then before.” Kurama said, taking out a rose, a twinkle appearing in his eye. “Care to try me?”

“This is ridiculous!” laughed Goki.

“Rose Whip!” Kurama shouted, jumping into the air.

The only thing that Goki could see was what looked like flashes of lighting moving all around him. Kuwabara watched with wide eyes as he was barely able to see Kurama’s whip moving all around and striking the tree, including several he was near and leaning against. Kurama lands behind Goki, still holding the whip, slowly standing up with his back facing the demon.

Kuwabara yelped and jumped out of the way as the tree he was sitting under as well as many others fell over, having been sliced through by Kurama’s whip. Kuwabara heard Hiei snicker and looked up to find that he had crawled over to where Hiei was and was holding onto his Master like a scardie cat. He blinked a bit, blushing before letting go of Hiei and standing up, brushing him self off and trying to keep whatever was left of his pride in tact.

Goki stood there; shaking a bit from the sheer power he had just witnessed.

“I-I was joking! Let’s just get along with each other!” he said, with a scared smile on his face, not turning around to look at Kurama.

“Are you ok Kuwabara-kun?” Kurama asked, looking with concern towards the still shaken teen.

Kuwabara blinked, never having the honor suffix put at the end of his name before.

“Huh, yeah, thanks Kurama-sama.” Kuwabara said.

“Please, just call me Kurama.” Kurama said with a smile.

Hiei narrowed his eyes at the two, before clearing his throat. Kurama turned to Hiei, his smile fading.

“Yes, back to the matter at hand.” Kurama said, looking serious at Hiei. “We have the date of when we will commence with the heist, however, what method do you plan on using to retrieve the items?” Kurama asked.

“Hn, you’re the expert here, fox. I thought you would come up with that.” Hiei snorted.

“Yeah. You were the best of the best back in your day, it only makes sense that YOU would figure out how to do it.” Goki said.

Kurama sighed.

‘Figures.’ He thought.

“Well, the best way to go about this is to get in and out with out any casualties. Knock out the guards without harming them and go our separate ways with the items we are after.” Kurama said.

“And meet up somewhere not too long after words.” Hiei added, agreeing with Kurama’s plan.

“Hmph, sounds good to me.” Goki said.

“Fine, two days after we retrieve the items we will meet up back here and discus the rest of the plan.” Hiei said, turning and starting to walk away. “Human.” Hiei shouted without turning to Kuwabara.

Kuwabara sighed.

‘Just ONCE I wish he would call me by my name.’ thought Kuwabara, giving a sigh.

“Good bye Kuwabara-kun.” Kurama called.

Kuwabara stopped and blinked turning around and seeing Kurama was smiling at him. He smiled back and waved.

“Ah, yeah later to you too Kurama.” Kuwabara said, before going after Hiei.

“Hn, I don’t like you talking to him anymore.” Hiei said once Kuwabara was behind him, and when they were far enough away from the other two for Kurama to not be able to hear him.

Kuwabara looked at his master, raising his eyebrow.

“Why? He seems like a nice guy, a little weird, but still nice.” Kuwabara said.

“I don’t like him talking to you, and that’s it.” Hiei said his voice sounding a bit threatening as it was lower then normal.

Kuwabara felt a shiver go down his spine at the tone of his voice and at how Hiei’s aura seemed to flare up before going back down.

‘Geeze…he’s acting like I’m his girlfriend or something….’ Kuwabara thought about that and shook his head. ‘He’s not gay and neither am I…’

Kuwabara had these kinds of thoughts many times over the time he had been with Hiei. He had tried to convince himself that he was straight, and that Hiei was even straighter then him. Besides that, Kuwabara never thought Hiei would like him in any way, let alone in the love category.

“Human.”

Kuwabara’s head snapped up at Hiei’s voice.

“Yes, Master Hiei?” Kuwabara asked.

Hiei glanced at his servant. He didn’t know what it was about Kuwabara, but he felt that he needed to protect him. He thought that it was because he wasn’t able to protect his sister from the one who had captured her. It was her disappearance that caused him to capture Kuwabara, let alone get the Jagan.

“I will be gone for awhile. I want you to stay inside and do not leave for anything unless it’s for food, got it?” Hiei asked, looking straight ahead as their hut of a house came in sight.

“Yes Master.” Kuwabara said, nodding. “Do you know how long this heist will be?”

Hiei stopped, causing Kuwabara to stumble a bit, since he was walking right behind Hiei.

“No.” Hiei said. “Though it shouldn’t take longer then a few days.”

Kuwabara nodded.

“If…” Hiei started but then stopped.

Kuwabara looked at Hiei curious at what Hiei was going to say.

“…if I don’t come back then I want you to go back home…” Hiei said.

Kuwabara blinked in surprise at Hiei.

“I won’t need you anymore if I’m dead.” Hiei said before walking into the hut, stunning Kuwabara in his spot.

“Dead…?” Kuwabara said, shocked that Hiei didn’t think he would make it out alive.

Then another thought occurred to him.

“Home...” Kuwabara closed his eyes, a small smile crossing his lips.

He hadn’t seen his sister or his parents since Hiei had took him away from them three years ago. He doubted that they would even recognize him since he had grown about two feet since he was 11, not to mention the ‘body builder’ body he acquired while training with Hiei.

Kuwabara walked into the hut and found Hiei already in his hammock that hung near the ceiling. Kuwabara shook his head. It amazed him how much Hiei loved heights. Kuwabara walked over to his cot that was on the floor.

“I’ll stick to the ground.” Kuwabara had told Hiei once when Hiei tried to make Kuwabara sleep in a hammock one time.

Kuwabara lay there, staring up at where Hiei was ‘asleep’ though Kuwabara knew his master wasn’t sleeping but resting.

“Hiei…” Kuwabara said, a thought coming to his mind.

Hiei grunted letting Kuwabara know that he was listening.

“I promised that I would help you find your sister…so…so if you don’t come back, I won’t go back home until I find her.” Kuwabara said, yawning.

Hiei lay in his hammock, shocked at what Kuwabara had just said. Hiei was about to tell Kuwabara that he didn’t have to when a small noise came to his ears. Hiei glanced down and almost fell out of the hammock at finding Kuwabara sound asleep, his mouth opening wide as he breathed in and out; no noise coming out except for the soft snorts that came once in a while as he slept.

He looked down at Kuwabara in awe before a smirk crossed his lips.

‘Kuwabara, you are a fool.’ Hiei thought before he lay back in the hammock and closed his eyes, resting before the big heist that was to take place the next day.
