Chapter two

Yoko held his stomach in a protective and soothing manner. `This hurts like hell! ` The poor Kitsune thought as he ground his teeth in pain. He was back in his human form and Kurama was constantly mentally lecturing Yoko for his actions the day before. Or was it the night before? Neither was really sure any longer, because they were not only in real pain, but also at Genkai’s temple. The koorime siblings had brought him here and much to the Kitsune’s surprise, they had helped him, well, he was surprised that they had BOTH helped him.

`What is going on here!?` Kurama thought, and not for the first time in last 8 hours, `It’s like something’s making a big joke of us all. `

Suddenly, the two beings inside one body felt a strange sensation running up and down their spine, and after it subsided the two were utterly shocked, as for the very first time into their lives they looked into each other’s faces.

“This isn’t happening!” they said to the other at the same time, right in front of a very curious looking apparition named Hiei, who could not believe what he had just seen!


Genkai tried her hardest not to freak out at the picture her mirror presented her. She was young again! `How could this happen?!`

The spirited old lady was completely pissed about this new fact. She had finally gotten through all the madness that came with youth and now…This! Genkai found this not in the least amusing and returned her gaze to the cringing Koenma in front of her;

“Are you positive;” she asked in a dangerously calm voice; “that you have nothing to do with this?!”

The young ruler of Reikei cringed even more if that was possible and nodded hurriedly.

Inwardly Koenma was trying to make sense of this. How all this could happen to his Reikei Tantei was a complete mystery to him, he didn’t know what could cause such an effect. Not to mention that he was trying his hardest to find the one to blame for it.

He had absolutely no clue *who* was to blame for the strange events that had occurred to his Reikei Tantei! Genkai was young again all of sudden, and what could have happened to Kurama? The damned Kitsune wouldn’t tell him one single word! Hiei hadn’t made it any easier either, he was brooding about the fact that someone must have told his sister who he was and hence tried constantly to find out who it was so that he could kill him or her!

Koenma sighed loudly, as if this all was not bad enough, Yusuke had arrived only minutes ago, covered from head to toe into a thick layer of dirt and mud, in a mood that could easily rival his dad’s! But what was comical about it was that he had promptly fainted after being greeted by the sight of a young Genkai coming out of the temple!

All this couldn’t really be happening to him, the tiny ruler of Reikei thought; it must be some kind of a very bad dream…

Suddenly Koenma felt the strangest urge to take his beloved pacifier out of his mouth and change his appearance to his adult form. In fact, he couldn’t stop himself from doing those very things.

And so, the next time Genkai turned around to ask him something, she was greeted with the sight of teenage Koenma. Arching one delicate eyebrow, the currently young psychic only mentioned his current state of utter confusion with a cool; “Welcome to our little club, Koenma.”

Keiko was having a really bad day! First she woke up late; she only wished that her teacher had slept late too, for the first day of his life; and second, she could not find her right shoe!
Instead she found a pacifier under her bed that she had been searching high and low for several years ago, when she had babysat her niece for a day.


Suddenly thinking of Koenma she wished that he would be more mature, instead of being so childish all the time. Then Yusuke would take him more seriously, and maybe he wouldn’t make so much trouble all the time.

Then her dreams from last night came to mind, and made her blush. She had a very naughty dream about Kurama and his Kitsune counterpart, Yoko, who were kissing her and caressing her body in a sexual manner. “I would really like to know if those two could be separated, even if only to find out how the two would get along with each other. I wish I could see them separated at least once in my life; it must be the most beautiful sight ever. But it would have to be painless; if I had one wish, I would give Yoko a new body, and let Suichi have the powers that Yoko’s presence gives him. They deserve to have some peace, especially Suichi.’


Her teacher arrived at university at the same time Keiko did, so she got away with being late this time. In her class, she was preoccupied, thinking about her boyfriend, not for the first time, but this time she was thinking of more serious matters. She could not understand it, why couldn’t he grow up a little and be more mature for once? She idly looked at the pacifier from the morning. Sometimes Keiko was thought she was baby-sitting a five years old!
He would never grow up. At least not in this century, she decided and turned her gaze back to the teacher in front.

She almost inaudibly wished that Yusuke could meet his demon friends here in ningenkai.
Without Koenmas ability to send them back there for awhile! Especially the ones from the tournament, maybe he could get rid of some of his tension by sparring with them and would not behave as childishly the entire time in front of them. But Keiko didn’t really believe it could happen.

After class had ended, Keiko went back home. On her way she met Shizuru who was talking excitedly about something to Kurama, who was holding his stomach. After a few words Keiko understood what she was talking about;

Keiko was shocked! It seemed that every single one of the wishes she had spoken out loud to herself since yesterday had come true! That meant… oh no! Not good!

The young woman hastily excused herself from her surprised friends with a berry red face and tried her hardest to understand how this have could happened
