Controlled By His Own Weakness
HiestChick: Hey wow... Here's Chapter 2 of the story... I hope greatly that you enjoy! It's not as easy as it looks to write such things... Especially when one of the cutest red-heads in the anime-verse is being-- hurted and slaverized.
Hiei: Damned bastard youkai baka...
Kurama: -hiding behind Hiei from the having to be acted as a beaten slave-ish memory failed slave...thing Xx-
Hiei: -holds and protects Kurama possessively-
HC: Babies... On with the fiction which this, I most assure you this is... Boys?
Hiei + Kurama: Hiest owns nothing of yu yu hakusho...
Hiei: If she did it would be torture to one and all.
Kurama: But... I'd still get you, chibi hono'o -smile-
Hiei: Hn... good point... Beh... Go on.
Hiei cursed softly at the last and only possible place Kurama could be. His heart felt like it was torn from his chest at the sight of mangled forms of slaves. Some older, some younger, all shackled and near-death, though suffering through their chores.
All worlds be damned if his Kurama were here. He knew the youkaiuko, uko, from reputation only. He was a greedy, perverted, disgusting youkai. They were the worst kind, other then those with no guts.
He started his way through the crowd after leaping the gates easily. None of the slaves looked his way, or was it fear that was stopping them? Who knew? Hiei barely paid them any mind, as it were, many youkai were subservient and many stronger ones took said youkai for slaves. Most ended up dead from battles their masters put them in for money or power, others; servants, and others still; bed warmers. 'I'll kill anyone if they've laid such a hand on him' ran through Hiei's mind as he made his way to the door. Once there he rammed his fist to the metal, making a rather loud clank, not affecting his fist.
He kept his gaze forward as the door swung open. He walked in past the slave that’d opened it, “SOUKO!!” His scream rang throughout the hall, “GET OUT HERE NOW!”
“Who orders me out here??” The large man questioned, appearing, because of his speed, in front of the short koorime.
“You are the last person… What have you done with Kurama?!” Hiei ordered; his hand to the of of his sword.
The man laughed rowdily, glaring down at him, “There is no one here of this name… But please, I have a slave that is rather new, compared to the rest, Have a go at him, eh? Before you leave.” The ogre-ish beast said, his fangs gleaming grimly.
“Hn…” ‘I think I just might… But if I find out that you do have Kurama, you will pay.’ Hiei added in his mind before following the ogre. But right before they got to the room where Kurama was, the ogre turned, facing the koorime in the corridor behind him, “First, I think I’ll beat you up some… He’s a weak little ningen, you see, and I don’t want him killed.”
Hiei scowled, “You have another thing coming if you think that you are going to cause me any pain. I am not your average youkai.” He spat towards Souko. But Souko only laughed in response, completely taking the Koorime by surprise as he flitted again, appearing behind Hiei to hit him in the back. But Hiei could sense the attack and jumped, flipping to glare at him, “Nice… Try…”
Souko’s brows went wide as he realized that the small youkai before him was not bluffing at all as Hiei began bringing his youki up to the tremendous rate.
Kurama sat up. ‘I know that youki… Who?’ His mind raced, though no one came to his mind. But then that name again. Hiei. It just had to be. Then he felt Souko’s youki rise, and frowned, not realizing that Hiei’s was well above the other. “Don’t die now… at least let me know your face...”
Hiei back flipped, landing on one knee, his sword in his hand. A trail ran down his lip; blood. How did this baka manage to hit him?! He was ten times more powerful! He growled loudly. Kurama must be here, that’s the only explanation! He attacked again, sending his sword straight through Souko’s forehead.
Souko screamed out as the blade was driven up, then down, slicing him in half, destroying him forever. No youkai could survive being split in half, not by being sliced in half, anyways. Hiei spat on the corpse, “You lose.”
With that he called out down the corridor, “KURAMA!!”
The boy’s head jerked up, his eyes widened, “That voice. He survived… but how…?” He gave a strangled yelp, tugging at his bonds, which he only failed atanksanks again to the confining gauntlet like things on his biceps. He frowned, realizing how foolish it must seem… He’d heard the voice call a name, and highly doubted it was he the voice called for, as Souko had only ever called him slave or boy. But he had to get out of here, so he called out, “Help!”
Hiei heard the voice, but in disbelief. Kurama was here... Why didn’t he come out?? The voice sounded so pained, so much more hurt then he’d ever heard the fox. “I’m coming, Kurama... I’m coming.” He murmured, tracking the call of help down he corridor.
He listened to a few doors near where he swore he heard the voice, and, in the farthest one, he heard soft crying gasps, and a chain being moved. He wasted no time in pushing open the door, “Kurama!”
He stopped dead in his tracks. There, on the floor by the bed, chained to the floor, was the sobbing, naked, red-headed ningen Kurama. He was so pale and frail looking, Hiei wanted to cry himself, but he dot. ot. He forced himself to walk to the shaking form, cutting the chain on the floor nearer Kurama’s ankle, making Kurama jump in fear of having his foot cut off. Hiei untied his hands and lifted him up into his arms, still forcing back the tears he knew were bound to come, “I’m here now, Kurama… I’m here…” He murmured to the other, being as soothing as possible. He carried the form out of the castle and hurried to Genkai’s.
Kurama only stared up at the boy-like face of the man carrying him. On sight, he knew it was Hiei. He felt secure and safe in the jaganshi’s arms and before Hiei got to the portal, he had fallen asleep in his arms. The cuffs on his biceps still there, as Hiei didn’t realize that they were the cause of his kitsune’s weak ki, or, for that matter, his memory loss, which was not yet known by Hiei.
“Where did you find him?” a female voice asked as the shadow looked at the other, more similar shadow calmly, as she started to dress the wounds on Kurama’s form.
“Hn… A youkai slave owner named Souko. He took Kurama as his slave. I killed him though.” The other responded. Kurama groaned, knowing the voice was Hiei’s,”…Heh-Hiei… nnhh…”
“He’s finally waking up.”
“When’d you find him, shorty?”
“Hn.. Not that long ago and if you call me shorty one more time I’m going to kill you.”
“I’d love to see you try it, small fry!”
“Boys! Stop it this instant. Now get out! He needs rest.”
“Oh, c’mon, ‘baasan… He’s our friend…”
“Exactly, if you stay in here he may get worse because you won’t let him rest.”
se vse voices, He knew them... Didn’t he? Hiei’s stood out for sure, but the other’s felt… familiar. He knew them. But… Who were they? Would they do as o hao had…? ‘Gods, I hope not…’ He thought to himself.
Meanwhile, outside, the other tantei were waiting and talking, well, two of the three were, the other was watching the doorway intently.
“Hey, Hiei, Didn’t you say he was in my territory?” Yusuke looked at the shorter dark-haired male. Hiei only grunted a response.
“Yeah… I didn’t know you were into slavery, Urameshi. I may--”
“I’m not, Baka! It’s not like I can just waltz back and forth any damn time I please!” Yusuke cut the taller off, glaring at him, “I hate slavery; it’s so stupid. But that’s why I’m not angry at Hiei. Cause he just saved a bunch of youkai from that bastard.”
Hiei’s gaze remained locked on the door, zoning out the two arguing idiots behind him. ‘Kurama… Do not give up… se…’se…’
HiestChick: Well… Happy? He’s found… not that he knows if he’s in the clear. Hiei is way ooc, I know… I felt it. Anywho, I’m just gunna let Kura-chan say the adioses.
Kurama: HC will finish this story soon. Do not fear, the longer it takes the better the quality of her work… supposedly. Read and Review and perhaps she will post faster then she has been lately.
