I Am A Plan To Oust Hiei!
Um... Yeah. SO--I went to look at my reviews and someone asked about 21. Confusing. Looked at it, and there were only like... three lines there! So I went to edit my chapter and fix it... and IT'S ALL HERE ON THE SAVED CHAPTER! This... is incredibly confusing.
SORRY!
StormAZ—why thankyou! You gave me the most review-like review I’ve had in a long time. Someone that actually comments on various aspects and what they think of them all at once. * love *
Just remember… Kat loves all her reviewers! ^_^
Anyone else notice that I'm starting to seriously lack in chapter title ideas? If only I hadn't decided on the "I Am --" theme. alas.

“Somebody just kill me,” Kurama groaned in pain, holding his head as he sat up from the position he’d passed out in. Evil looked down at him from where he was lounging in his favorite recliner, receiving a rather noisy blowjob from the blue-headed Botan. Kurama cracked an eye to see what they were doing, then groaned and fell back down.
“Do you guys ever stop?” he asked plaintively, flinging an arm over his eyes. Evil delayed his answer in favor of a groan of pleasure, then looked back at Kurama.
“You could join in,” he said, wriggling his eyebrows suggestively, which caused Botan to jump up in anger and slap him.
“What do you mean, “you can join in”?! What am I to you?” she screeched, causing Kurama to roll into a ball, clutching at his ears. Evil shushed her soothingly and pulled her back down to resume her blowjob.
“Nothing, nothing. I was just teasing him. As you were busy teasing me. Now Kurama, what are you going to do today?”
Kurama uncurled slowly and stood, noting that there was still some alcohol in his system, despite the horrible hangover, as he swayed. Had he really killed that 1/5th of crown?
“Nothing. I’m going to bed,” he grunted, stepping over Botan to get past her in the small living room. Evil shook his head.
“You’ve got to go talk to Hiei!” he protested tersely, gripping Botan’s hair with one hand. Kurama snorted.
“It’s too late. I’ve ruined everything,” he said dejectedly as he headed for his room. Evil let out another groan, more prolonged this time. Botan’s head was bobbing frantically now.
“What’s this quitter attitude? I’ve never seen the like from you before. You’re just giving up? How pathetic. Think… about… how Hiei’s… feeling… right… now… Oh shit girl!… oh god… oh god… Oooohhhh!…” he trailed off as his hips started to buck against her lips, and Kurama shook his head, leaving the room so he wouldn’t have to watch Evil cum for her. What did he see in her? She just annoyed him, usually.
Evil did have a good point though. How was Hiei feeling right now?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Hiei, Kurama’s here to see you,” Yukina called softly through a closed door in the temple. Kurama waited patiently for a moment, but his hungover mind quickly lost patience with the lack of response.
“Oh, no, not this again! Hiei!” he knocked on the door rapidly. “Come on, Hiei, I want to talk to you! Please?”
Silence.
He growled.
“Hiei! Stop this shit! You’re sulking like a girl! No offense, Yukina. Come out of there, damnit! Act like a man!” He banged on the door a few more good times before swearing a prolonged stream of curses. Yukina touched his arm and shook her head silently before leading him away to the kitchen. She brewed some tea while he sat with his head on the table and brought him a glass. He sipped it, not thanking her with his usual extravagant display of manners.
“What has happened, Kurama? We all thought everything was mended when you woke. Why is Hiei so sad? I’ve never seen him so sad. And why are you so angry? I’ve never seen you display such a loss of control!”
Kurama raised his head to stare at the little ice demon. Loss of control? Yes, she was right. Hiei was sad? It made sense. His anger was helping nothing. He was glad she had led him away before his anger went any further. He smiled slightly in apology.
“It’s just this headache, Yukina. I can’t think around it. The real loss of control was last night when I drank so much,” he admitted, rubbing his temples. She came around the table and laid her hands on his head, sending a cool wash of relief through his body until the hangover was gone. He smiled at her.
“Oh, thank you, Yukina! That is so much better!” Yukina smiled in response and sat back down.
“Now tell me what has happened,” she commanded quietly, and he nodded.
“When I awoke the next morningwas was scared. Everything had been so clear, so simple when I woke from my mental unrest, but the next morning I realized that to love him meant a change in my sexuality, a change in the way people knew me, a change in everything and I… I convinced myself it wasn’t worth the trouble. I said something… cruel… to Hiei and left. I was doing so well at lying to myself until I found out that…” he stopped, looking at Yukina. She was his sister. Would it not be better to let him tell her? He shook his head. Hiei wouldn’t tell anyone.
“Hiei was pregnant with my child when he transformed,” he continued quietly, staring at the tabletop intently. Yukina’s gasp made him wince, but he continued. “My mother and Evil knew; Koenma knew as well. I just found out last night. The feelings that it invoked… made me realize that I couldn’t keep lying to myself about how I feel. But… he apparently is right back where he was before, not speaking to me. I want to talk to him about it, but he’s been acting so… different… since he changed. I’d hoped he would be back to normal once he changed back, but…” he shrugged, indicating his lack of ideas. Yukina nodded thoughtfully.
“I have no answers, but I do have a theory,” she began tentatively, continuing when Kurama nodded encouragingly at her. “I’ve believed since the beginning that Hiei was born with the same gentle soul all of our people are born with. It’s always been there, but he’s faced so much more than any of our species has ever had to face, and it started at his birth. Why, if I, an almost grown ice demon, were to experience a handful of what he has had to, I’d probably lose my mind. I believe when he lost all of his powers and had to start over new with his way of dealing with things, he had no reason to hold on to his adapted way of life for several weeks… and he still hasn’t worked out what he wants. To be a gentle soul like he’s found he can be, or to be the tough and powerful eonleonless demon he’s been. I suspect losing the baby and you shook his resolve to go either way, and now he’s doing the only thing he is certain won’t affect anything either way. He’s hiding from the world,” she shook her head and stood, taking their empty glasses to the sink, leaving Kurama to think.
“So maybe the only way to get him out is to get someone who’s not involved… involved?” he mused aloud. Yukina nodded as she put away the dishes.
“What about that friend of his? The evil one?”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Hiei! Come on out, man! I’ve got this new combination of Pucker’s that you’ve got to try out!” Evil banged on Hiei’s door, causing the diminutive Yukina to cringe slightly. He was just so big! Her brother was friends with this human? He was huge, he was loud, he was dark… well, maybe she could see it. Hiei wasn’t answering though.
“Come on, man, you know you wanna. You’ve gotta come check out all of the new shiny and deadly weaponry I just hung on my wall!”
“What kind of weapons? And what flavors of Pucker’s?” a quiet voice came through the door, more in the tone of a demand than anything. Evil winked at Yukina, who sighed in relief and walked down the hall.
“Well, you inspired me to get that katana from the mall… and I’ve got sour apple and red razzberry. Now come on! You love sour apple!” Evil waited with a grin until Hiei had opened the door, staring up at him suspiciously.
“Kurama lives there now, doesn’t he?” Evil nodded.
“He won’t be home tonight, it’ll just be us. Kurama doesn’t appreciate the finer aspects of my wall décor anyways.” Evil grinned at the short guy and started down the hallway… quickly correcting himself when Hiei pointed out that he was going the wrong way.

Give me a few more votes and I'll finish the story up... now I've got GOBS of homework I've been putting off to get these last couple of chapters in--I've gotta finish before 5! *tips hat, steps out*
