General A/N: I don’t own the characters or show. I’m bad at editing, if I do it at all, so there will most likely be errors. I’m updating chapter by chapter so I’m not sure how often I’ll update, but I’ll try to make it soon. And lastly this story is told by Hiei’s POV.
I’m not sure what the demon world is called. My mind has decided to quiet working since I’m out of school for a couple of weeks, but I think it’s Reikai or something so that’s what I’m using.

Part 18: All Explained

Thirty minutes pass noon and I’m sitting against a tree in the clearing watching as everyone talks amongst themselves. I don’t think they realize why they are here or else they would be looking at me with anger. I don’t blame them, I did turn a good friend of theirs into a vampire.
Kurama walks my way. Giving me a smile before sitting beside me.
“Jin and Touya told them it was a party. It was the only way they could get them to come without explaining things. But I told them to get everybody over here as soon as they can so we can get this over with.” He leans over and gives me a kiss on the cheek.
“How do you think they will react?” I see Jin and Touya going around and speaking to everyone, pointing at us every once in a while.
“I don’t know. But whatever they say I still love you. That is if you don’t kill anyone.” He smirks before giving me another big kiss.
“Aww, you two look cute together.” Kayko walks over with Yusuke right behind her to sit by Kurama. My fox blushes.
Soon the rest of them join us. Touya next to me with Jin, Botan, Yukina, and sitting a little to close to her is Kuwabara. I should kill him. He doesn’t deserve her. But neither do I. I just hope that when I tell her what I am she doesn’t think me more evil than she already does.
“So, what’s the meeting about?” Botan looks around from face to face.
“Hiei and I have something to tell you all. Well, some of you already know some of it.” Kurama looks over at Yusuke and Kuwabara, then over at Jin and Touya before continuing. “I want you to listen to what we have to say. Don’t run off or get upset. Okay?” Everyone nods, the girls looking a little nervous. Kurama looks over at me.
Here we go.
“I’m a vampire.” I look around at the girls. They don’t seem to surprised at that. “Did you hear me?”
“Oh, yes, but Yusuke already told me.” Kayko gives her boyfriend a little pat on the knee.
“And Kuwabara has told me.” I really don’t like the orange haired baka telling my sister things about me that I need to…wait a minute. She doesn’t sound upset. She gives me a reassuring smile. She doesn’t hate me!
“Well, no one told me!” Botan looks around the small group. “Why do I always get left out?”
“You’re always in Reikai. How are we suppose to tell you things?” Yusuke looks over at the blue haired woman. She sticks out her bottom lip.
“What do you mean you’re a vampire?” What does she think I mean?
“I am a vampire. Living yet not. Drinker of blood.” What more does she want?
“You feed off ningens?”
“Only the really evil ones. Murderers and people like that.” I look over at Yusuke. This will be easier than I thought if others answer questions for me.
“Oh. Okay.” She looks like she is in thought.
“I understand the vampire thing from what Yusuke told me but he says there is something else. He just won’t tell me.” Kayko looks from me to Kurama. At least the detective didn’t tell someone like I figure he would have.
“Does everyone also know about me and Hiei?” Kurama looks over at Botan.
“What about you and Hiei?” The girl knows nothing.
Kurama scoots closer to me, allowing our knees to touch. I let my arm wrap around his waist. Botan’s eyes widen while everyone else smiles. Except Kuwabara who just rolls his eyes and looks away. Baka.
“You two are together? Like in as a couple?” Kurama nods to Botan. A smile appears on her face. “Really? Oh, you two are so cute together. I always thought you should be a couple.” Her smile disappears. “But next time I don’t care where I am you tell me these things.” She narrows her eyes as she looks around. I just roll my eyes.
“Like Kayko said there is something else.” I give Kurama a glance before continuing. “I love Kurama. I wanted him to be my mate, not just a lover. I wanted to spend forever with him.”
“Aww, so sweet.” Kayko glares at Yusuke then smiles back at me. Whatever.
“But Hiei is a vampire. So me being with him for eternity wouldn’t work out right since I’m ningen.” I receive a squeeze on my knee. “So he had to make me one too.” I wait for their reactions but in the mean time I think Kurama is going to claw my knee off. He doesn’t now his new strength well.
“What do you mean?” Leave it to Kuwabara to bring up the stupid question.
“I made him a vampire.” Botan’s and Kuwabara’s mouths drop open. Kayko looks wide eyed at Kurama. Yukina just blinks. The other three already now, so I’m not that worried about them.
“What does it feel like?” Kayko asks.
“Different. I’m stronger. And I have new powers.” He stops when he sees Botan looking up in the direction of the bright sun. “Oh, Hiei being a fire demon allows him to ut iut in the sun. And since he had to give me some of his blood to turn me, the same applies to me.” Botan slowly nods her head.
“Okay.”
“I think that you two make an adorable couple. I actually thought you were together when I first met you.” My sister blushes a little. She doesn’t hate me!
“Is everyone okay with all this?” Kurama asks quietly.
“I just can’t believe you’re with the shrimp. What do you see in the little guy?” Man I wish I could kill him. Kurama just leans over and kisses me on the cheek.
“It isn’t my fault. Its Hiei’s, he used to be a thief.” Everyone, including me looks at him in wonder.
“Okay, what?” For the first time since sitting down Touya speaks.
“He stole my heart.” I can’t believe it. Not only do I get the most beautiful mate in all the world but I also get the sweetest.
“Not before you stole mine.” I whisper.
“Stop, you’re going to make me cry.” Kayko brings a hand up to her mouth. I look around and find the girls on the verge of tears, the guys smiling dumbly, even the baka.
“Why can’t you tell me things like that?” Touya hits Jin, not to gently, on the arm.
“Yeah!” Kayko does the same to Yusuke.
“Hey!” Yusuke looks down at his arm then over at us. “You two need to cut the sappy stuff in front of her. She already complains I don’t tell her I love her enough.” I just roll my eyes.
“A vampire falls in love with ningen and turns him into a vampire so that they can be together for all of time. How sweet and romantic. Like a fairy tale.” Yukina smiles sweetly at us.
“I’m so glad that none of you are upset about this. I was kinda worried.” Kurama looks down at his hand on my knee.
“We’re your friends. Of course something like this wouldn’t get in the way of our friendship.” Botan says.
I actually find myself relieved that they accept us. I know I have been sayingt I t I don’t care but deep down I did. This is the closest thing to real friendship I have ever had. And again my sister doesn’t hate me. True she doesn’t know I’m her brother but she still doesn’t hate me.
“Okay, enough serious stuff. Lets party!” Yusuke gets up and heads over to a cooler he brought. The others soon follow, leaving me and Kurama sitting against the tree.
“That went better than I thought it would.” He whispers into my ear.
“Yeah.” I kiss his lips before we both stand and go over to join the others.

Okay, there is only one part left after this and I already have it written but it might be a couple days before I get it up. I start back to classes tomorrow night *yuck* and besides I’ll be waiting on some reviews from this part *hint, hint*.
